Sals is a family favorite of ours! Our trips down here to our family farm is never complete until we come to sale. The owners are wonderful and it’s our families favorite place for pizza anywhere! Their subs are awesome too!

Great pizza and subs… Been eating at sals since I was in a high chair… Now at 31 it’s still my go to for great pizza! They give you great big fountain sodas too!

Sal’s is exactly the way you remember it, looks just like an 80’s pizza spot inside. We have never eaten inside, we ALWAYS get take out. The pizza is solidly good. Ordered two pizzas, ham and pineapple and pepperoni. Both were solid, nice soft dough, not a crazy amount of cheese, plentiful toppings. One was a bit overcooked but still tasty. Hand tossed crust, not too thin or too thick. It did take longer for our order to be ready that they quoted but the holidays are very busy. Sal’s is a solid choice for pizza, perfect take out spot. If you are looking for a romantic Italian spot, Sal’s doesn’t aim for that. It’s a simple pizza joint, period.

Only two pizza places in this town, so I tried the one that was the oldest and most established… big mistake. The place is very dirty and neglected. Should have been a sign for us to leave, but we tried the pizza and it was far from a good pizza. The other pizza place In town was much better but that’s not saying much. I miss Frank Pepe’s in CT.

When it comes to pizza in Lancaster County there’s not too many choices. Yet thats no excuse why Sal’s has to have so many issues with its pizza. Again, all my reviews are to explain what can be *improved*. Problems: The sauce — Either its not being seasoned or is canned, it tastes like tomato soup. Pizza sauce should not taste like soup. Improving the sauce would definitely improve it the most The dough — One time I had a pizza from Sal’s that had raw dough in the crust end. It looks like they need to cook it longer Greasy — I’m not the biggest fan of NY Style pizza, but even I know the pizza shouldn’t be swimming in its own grease. Something needs to be done about this as myself and most people I know like pizza to be crisp, not soggy. I’ll be in town again soon, and I’ll be happy to try this place again and follow up my review if needed.

The best pizza in Kilmarnick. Very family friendly, kids are more than welcome. Everything on the menu is very reasonably priced and Lisa is incredible! We try and eat there once a week to help support our local economy. Wednesday night is BOGO!

**3.5 stars** Unpretentious type of place. The décor is one that’s stuck in times past, but don’t let that fool you. This place is good — one that has survived in this small town for many, many years. The pizza… Ooooh, the pizza… Hand tossed dough that is thin on the bottom and just a little chewy around the crusty edges after being baked. There’s just enough for a good taste and to keep the pizza together but not enough to overwhelm. There’s also a thin layer of yummy sauce below a thick blanket of hot, gooey cheese. Of course you’re able to add any toppings you’d like — they’ve got them all. But I prefer just cheese(ok, maybe extra cheese). It’s just that good solo! The submarine sandwiches have always been a favorite of mine growing up. The Italian and Cheeseburger subs especially. Guilty pleasures that I just can’t resist — sub rolls stuffed with meats, cheese and preferred toppings. Have it your way! Prices are also very reasonable. A large cheese pizza is $ 13& additional toppings are about $ 1/each. Small subs range from $ 4.75−5.50 while a Large would run from $ 6.25−7.50. They also have good, cheap beer here to wash down your yummy italian fare. About $ 3 for a glass or less than $ 9 for a pitcher! This business also supports local schools. LHS Band night is every second Thursday of the month while Montessori School night is the last Tuesday of every month. A portion of all purchases made during those evenings go towards that organization. Awesome!
