When traveling for work, I have to depend on Unilocal for lunch recommendations. I’m sure glad I did on this one. My first judges of a Mexican joint are the chips/salsa and tea. Damned good salsa and fresh tea is a winner every time. I ordered beef fajita quesadillas. The portion size was huge. The fresh guacamole and pico was the bomb. I’ll be back next time I’m in town!

Great breakfast and dinner. Nice staff, I love breakfast but occasionally miss it. You can’t hold it against them for following there certain breakfast and lunch hours. Although I recommend they make breakfast available all day(in a perfect world). There morning taco deal is great and there green sauce is so good.

Mixed reviews on my end. The place is empty most times i go. Granted, i usually go for breakfast«after» the kitchen has stopped serving breakfast. I will ask«if they can make it for me» and the answer is usually«yes», except when i get«one» employee who says no. First time abruptly but the staff remembered me and got me served me anyways and today, before i even ask, she says«we are not serving breakfast, by kitchen orders» and there is the owner who says no”… As she goes in the back to «brief» the supposed«owner» on our conversation.(He did not look like the owner i know). How did she even know i was going to ask for breakfast? I got up and left. Bad attitudes make or break a place and this may be the reason why the place is always empty. Last time i go there.

FINALLY a place who has gotten the Horchata game down. I would of never come here except for the constant pestering of my friend about his taco cravings. I said hell why not. The parking lot is odd to say the least but I enjoyed the festivities in my mouth as I took my first bite. I very much enjoyed the taste. Very stuffing food & good music. I came on Halloween night. Small families enjoying their food after hours of hard earned trick or treating. I’ll come back for more.

Delicious food served quickly. It’s really clean and nice. I’m surprised there was no one there on the Friday night.

I ate four beef fajitas for dinner. Went to bed that night. Woke up later feeling sick. Spent six hours going between the toilet and the tub. I had trouble holding food down for another few days or so. I could not finish one of my work shifts during the whole ordeal. I felt like I was going to die from vomiting. I never felt that weak before in my life. I think everything is ok now. I’m going to avoid this one from now on. Maybe try the one off rancier.

Despite being completely empty, this was the dirtiest restaurant I’ve ever been in. We stayed because of the good reviews but were immediately disappointed when we tried to order a drink that was on the menu and was told that they don’t serve it. She mentioned having two kinds of margaritas and that was it. The food was okay. The chips were hot and fresh and the salsa was good but the rest of the meal was nothing special. We won’t be back.

I order from here all the time as they are one of the only Mexican restaurants that delivers in the Killeen area and while I am usually very happy with what I order, steak quesadilla and carne asada with extra nopales, tonight it was spectacular! One of the best quesadillas i have eve had. I got my order to go and it was ready in no time. The service was very fast and friendly, like always. I recommend this place to all my friends. Can’t wait to go back again!

The rice and beans are ok. Nothing to write home about. Chips are fresh. Salsa is pretty flavorful with a good, not overpowering amount of spice. I ordered a chimichanga with fajita style chicken. It was a very large portion with great flavor inside. Sadly it was ruined by the horrific cheese sauce dumped all over the top and outsides. Perhaps this is a texas thing … covering a chimichanga. … i am from the northwest and have never seen food ruined in this way. Like I said… the inside was delicious. I may come back here again only to try the food without the canned cheese sauce.

Service was good, although since it was the morning I got the«ugh, a customer» look but I get it, it’s early. The food was OK. The chorizo didn’t have much bite to it which I’m glad I had the pico and guacamole for that. You get 2 tortillas… that’s it! WTF? Also it was served with a peice of bacon that looked like it was a stunt double for Freddy Krueger make up. A single strip of blech. This meal wasn’t great and definitely not worth a cheat day from your diet or exercise regimen. In that way in disappointed.

Environment: Homey with touch of Mexican flavor. Never over did the Mexican theme but yet you know you’re in a Mexican restaurant. Food: I wasn’t too hungry so I got the chili fries. When it came out, there was BACON mixed in the chili! Yes I said it :) BACON! How awesome is that! Lol. On top of that, it was really filling & didn’t break my pocket lol. The chili meat had a little chorizo flavor in it, not sure if they used chorizo but it had that flavor :) my very picky husband got the fajitas & his exact words were«they were really good». Also got the margarita drink, don’t remember what it was called, but it was delicious! I like fruitty drinks so it was a hit! Service: our waitress was ok, she wasn’t mean but she wasn’t too friendly either. She kinda had this«hate work» attitude.

CHEAP, fast, and delicious. I am not a big fan of mexican food but this place almost made me change my mind. The staff is fast and friendly and the place looks pretty decent considering how cheap it is. If you like mexican food, don’t want to spend a lot of money and have a huge appetite don’t miss out. This is your day to pay for friends! Don’t wait for the night at the steakhouse. lol

Food was mediocre. I’m not a big fan of their beans, which is usually my favorite part of any Mexican dish. I’ve noticed most Mexican’s restaurants around town add a smoky flavor in their beans which is very off-putting for someone who did not grow up in Texas. The service was good and the staff was very friendly so that’s why I gave this place a 3 stars.

I grew up eating Tex-Mex. This is perhaps the worse meal I’ve had all year. Queso Flameado was way more meat and grease than cheese. It came with only two tortillas, though there was enough on the plate for perhaps eight.(not that any sane person would want to eat it all). Beans were cold and bland as was the rice. The beef in the enchiladas al carbon was tough and chewy and the enchiladas were topped with a grainy«cheese sauce» that was almost certainly a bargain brand velveta. A «crispy taco» on one plate had one side so soggy that it fell apart. Walk up to the front door of this place, then turn around with your back to the restaurant. Look over to your right, across the street… See that Taco Bell over there? Go there — you’ll get better Mexican food(and I hate Taco Bell).

I’m thoroughly disappointed with our dinners. We ordered the Enchiladas with chile con carne sauce(to go) and I rushed home to bring the goodies to my hubs. Now, I’m from Washington state, from a small town that amazingly enough, had an EXCELLENT Mexican restaurant(Puerta Vallarta in Port Orchard) what was so great about them were there portion sizes. 3 enchiladas would take up an enormous oval plate, with plenty of rice and beans. Save for the rim, the whole plate was covered with deliciousness. Which was perfect as you had SOMANY leftovers! AHEM. Imagine my disappointment when I get home, open up my box, and find two wimpy sized enchiladas, and TINY portions of rice and beans. You know when Zoolander sees the model center for children who can’t read good, he goes: «What’s this? A center for ants??» That’s exactly what went through my mind: What’s this??? A meal for ants? I could let go the 2 incredibly wimpy sized enchiladas, since NO other Mexican place around here seems to go big or go home in the enchilada department, but I could not ignore the rice and beans portions. There was literally just enough for one big bite, maybe three small bites. To me, that does not a side-dish make. This meal wouldn’t even fill up my 13 month old. I felt what I ordered should have been like, a lunch special size, not a dinner size! I was so looking forward to this place from reading all the good reviews, too. Sigh. :(I guess my hopes were too high. The 2 stars are basically awarded for the nice friendly guy on the phone and the fact the enchiladas were decent tasting, but the chile con carne sauce was meh. Honestly there was too much sauce for not enough enchilada… ugh and the sides, THEHORROR! Maybe it’s different if you eat inside. Maybe they give you more side portions. Maybe they have to ration to-go orders as if they were under side-dish restraint laws. Who knows, I just know that neither me or my hubs will be back.

Pretty good, quick service… I called in an order but it was delayed because the cook made one of the plates wrong. Well priced and no real complaints! Odd fact: their bathroom was very clean. I’m weird about stuff like that so kudos!

I’ve passed by this location numerous times, but never once thought to check it out. Killeen has a plethora of restaurants to choose from, so this location might have been easily overlooked. I’m a lover of big chain restaurants probably just as much as the next person, but sometimes I just want to go off the beaten path to try something else. So, when the question popped up of where to go out to eat, today was just that day to try something new. I was craving Mexican food and used Unilocal’s handy-dandy ‘nearby’ search function. Taqueria Mexico Lindo was 0.6 miles away. Perfect. Walked in, and we were greeted by a friendly waitress telling us to sit anywhere we’d like. We picked a cozy corner booth and spent quite some time checking out their vast menu. It was hard to narrow down what to eat, so I just ended up selecting their gold standard — steak fajitas. If they screwed this up, then I knew I wouldn’t be coming back. We started out with an appetizer. It was a sampler that consisted of two chicken quesadillas, steak nachos, and two chicken flautas. We were literally fighting over it because it was that good, but I knew I had to pace myself because I have a tendency to get full really fast. The rest of our food promptly arrived and then we quickly realized our booth was just a bit, too cozy. Everything we ordered couldn’t fit on our small table. No problem, they told us we could move to a bigger table. Fajitas came out sizzling, and I immediately noticed the huge portions of meat. Did I forget to mention that that their drinking cups are also huge? They definitely aren’t stingy here. The steak fajitas had such a wonderful, authentic flavor along with their homemade flour tortillas. Also, try out their homemade verde sauce. It was really good! My partner thoroughly enjoyed his Killeen plate which consisted of: chicken, shrimp, and steak fajitas. And, my mom gave the seal of approval on her carne asada plate. This place is a hidden gem and I’m glad I finally discovered it. Definitely will become a regular, not only for their authentic Mexican fare and reasonable prices, but also for the impressive service we received from our waitress, Ashley.(By the way, if you’re reading this, it was a pleasure meeting you. Best of luck in your future endeavors becoming a chef!)
