I won’t be back here for the simple fact that this place is dirty and the service SUCKS. The menu pages were stuck together. The only good thing I can really tell you about this place is the portion sizes. A size small is freakin huge! They must keep all the food on warmers precooked because my food came out in 2 minutes. I mean I put my order in, look at my phone and bam food is there.

HUGE portions! Great food, interior isn’t the best, but most people don’t go to restaurants for that.

Service was okay, we were almost finished with our meals and water before they came back to refill our glasses. Food was okay, spring rolls were brought out almost immediately. Our vermicelli took a while to get out to us, it ended out being hot, I should have asked, most places I’ve vermicelli, the noodles are usually cold. Thai Milk tea was awesome!

This is my go-to place for phở in killeen. The service is a hit or miss though. The young server is not the most friendly and is most likely a language and cultural thing. They clean their stuff with bleach, which is nice, but sometimes that smell lingers on their utensils. They are amazingly fast.

Always love this place till I started to notice it wasn’t clean. Open the menue and three small roaches run out of the menue haven’t been there since.

It will do. Let’s be real. We aren’t in Cali or NYC so get your standards right. It’s edible. Here’s a short list to make the phở broth one hundred times better: Add sriracha. And maybe the lime and pieces of mint. It will do.

We arrived about 7 in the evening. Lots of seating so we were greeted, immediately seated with menus ready to be assessed. It’s a pretty cold evening so soup was the perfect dinner choice. However, I didn’t order soup. I ordered a grilled pork banh mi. My son had the beef fried rice, hubby had some soup that consisted of pork and tofu, the other two sons ordered the kids menu soup. First of all, I LOVE that they offer a kids size soup. It literally is like a mini phở. The portioning wasn’t too little for my 6 year old, and more than enough for the 2 year old. I tried it myself and it was pretty good… for a kid. My son’s fried rice was basically fried rice… and bits of deep fried beef dropped on top of the entrée. I didn’t try it myself so I can’t tell you what it tastes like. What I can tell you is my brother ordered the pork version, didn’t finish it… and at the bottom of my son’s fried rice was a pool of oil. But by then… he had eaten most of it. Once I looked. over to see how much he had eaten, and the plate was becoming exposed to notice the oil… I told. him to quit eating. My banh mi isn’t like the ones I am used to eating in LV and in HI. It literally looked 4 inches long; yet, it was stuffed with meat and the usual banh mi vegetables. BUT… this one had peanuts in it. Never had a banh mi with peanuts. More so, I’m allergic to peanuts. It was just ahhhhh-ite. Oh, as for the husband’s soup… he says, it was okay. My mom ordered phở and didn’t enjoy hers. She’s phở queen… swear she should have her own phở eating channel. Lol. She wasn’t impressed. Service is just ahhhite as well. Pretty simple, get your drink order, meal order, serve, and wait until your done to clean your table off. Didn’t get checked on, offer any refills, and when we asked for our check… the waiter sitting down staring at his phone looks up and tells us, oh… you just pay up there. So note if you don’t know the rules, upon finishing your meal… don’t sit around waiting for someone to come to you… get that booty up off your chair and pay the guy at the cash register – duh! If you are in the vicinity, and decide phở is what you want… give it a shot. They’re pretty expensive compared to the phở places I’ve been to back in LV, and they don’t taste allll that great. Not a place I’d go out of my way just to eat. There are other phở places in town to give a shot first, then you can decide for yourself.

This is my only experience with Vietnamese food. The flavor of the food was amazing. I only gave 3 stars because it was pretty expensive, and I was not full at the end of the meal. If you want Vietnamese food then I would recommend this place, but if you want to get your money’s worth I would not recommend it.

Best phở I had in Killeen so far. I’ve tried phở 9 and chaus but like phở Saigon the most. Also love the egg rolls.

Went there after church with my husband and some friends. The fried calamari appetizer had too much breading, but the calamari was very tender. The phở was delicious, the broth was delicate and fragrant, plenty of veggies served with. My husband got the bun, and he was pleasantly surprised, stated it was better than Phở 9’s. We will definitely be back.

The first thing is the service was terrible. The waiters were anxious and I felt rushed ordering. The entrees were brought out before the appetizers. To top it all off towards the end a cockroach was found. Not a good experience.

As a cook, I have a love — hate relationship with Unilocal.I normally see bad logic and the lack of BOH experience some customers display in their reviews. However, I’m agreeing with these negative reviews for Phở Saigon… customer service is everything. I suggest hiring friendly wait Staff and keeping the resting a hole face in the kitchen. The phở was greasy and not consistent to the last time I visited. Prices are a bit high for a phở place which makes me wonder if they are struggling. It pains me to see any restaurant struggle. So with all honesty, good customer service has kept me going back to some pretty average places. Maybe try smiling? No one is going to come back to a place where they don’t feel welcome. Hope the owner takes this advice to heart.

This was my first time here around 11:15 on a Thursday. Upon entry, I was immediately sat down and given a menu. Shortly thereafter my drink was requested and before I had the chance to look through the entire menu the guy was back asking what I wanted to order. I ordered summer rolls and well done flank and beef Phở. The place was clean and neat. The condiments on the table were clean and organized which is a plus because some places bottles are disgusting. Food: Small bowl of Phở is huge. Veggies were decently fresh but onions could have been fresher(light brown tint). The beef was well done but lots of fat and not much meat mostly noodles. The broth initially tasted like filtered water. What do I mean? Some faucet water has distinctive tastes and I tasted that. The more I ate it the less I was able to notice it. The summer roll was decent. It was stickier than in use to and I was thrown off when I tasted meat in there with the shrimp. 2. So I wanted a bubble tea with tapioca. The young thin guy who is mentioned in many reviews was there in the flesh. I ordered the strawberry tapioca(lots of misspellings on the menu… Strawberry was misspelled lol) well I was surprised to see a strawberry tea drink with tapioca and other thing floating in there. I asked the guy«what is this? He explained it was tapioca, jellies and other stuff which I didn’t ask for. I asked him about the normal bubble tea and he told me I wouldn’t be able to find the smoothie type bubble tea anywhere in Killeen(I don’t believe this guy) anyway he said«just try it and smiled.» I’ll try almost anything once so I took it and photo’d it in the car before I drank it. It tastes like strawberry tea with tapioca and fruit. Not bad but not what I was expecting. Overall a decent experience here and the prices are regular priced. Fast service and quiet environment for lunch.

I had the Bun Thit Nuong. Good taste. Pork was well prepared. Nuoc Mam was not too salty and not be too overwhelming. Positively surprised. I was not expecting much after reading the reviews. Will definitively go back and try something different next time and see if they are good at cooking other dishes.

My experience here at phở saigon vietnamese noodles in Killeen, Tx I strolled into this restaurant at right around 6 pm and was immediately seated. The friendly staff greeted me with a subtle smile and mentioned I could be seated anywhere. Setting down my bags, I went to the restroom. Clean. One of the first indicators of a good restaurant, and a good indication of hygiene. I noticed, when I went to the counter, that there was ozarka water bottles that they pour the water from. Another plus in my opinion. I was prepared to purchase a separate bottle of water and they have you covered. As I was seated, I took a glance at the menu. Quite a few options, I noticed the phở right away. Scanning down I didn’t notice any veggie options and flipping through the menu, there were few added pages of dishes, mostly specials. The phở was definitely the highlight of the venue and the other options were supplemental. I figured, vietnamese = phở, so why not go with it. I requested a special order of phở with tofu minus the meat and they gladly accommodated. As soon as I was able to open my laptop to start typing this review I was served. Literally 5 minutes from when I was seated. Later I found out that the broth, made from beef stock, had been prepared MAX24 hrs… not the best practice but at the same time its not a game breaker. Its on me for not asking prior to order if they had a veggie broth option. The phở was good with the added veggies served with it, a spruce of lime, and a few jalapeños. I did order a side of rice to supplement the food volume I eat and it was good, steamed rice, though it be white(its a personal preference to select brown when available). So overall, service: 4 star food: 4 star(taste made it but would like veggie options) ambiance: 3 stars(its very quite here but they have a news channel running which does not parallel a traditional phở environment) So overall I would give it a 3.5 star. Would I recommend coming here? Of course, if your not vegetarian. If you are, my follow up question is are you ok with eating a veggie phở with beef broth? if so then yes make the trip its delicious food. Cheers.

This is my first Phở shop since being here in Fort Hood. It’s ok. Of course not comparable to the one’s in California for sure. Their service is pretty half ass, unprofessional, pushy. I haven’t even had the chance to flip my menu yet & I’ve already been asked if I was ready to order twice. The broth is more on the salty side. Quiet atmosphere most of the time. When I ordered take out, the guy that looks mixed, he was pretty nice. Nicer than most of the staff there. Portions could be bigger.

*** This is for the boba guy *** –1 star He’s the scrawny, young teenage tool that makes your bubble tea and he is incredibly rude. What part of just tapioca pearls ONLY do you not understand? He proceeds to add everything else in your drink but the kitchen sink. NO. I do not want jelly or whatever else that is floating in the bottom of my cup. I don’t want to spend my time spitting or scooping that stuff out. One time, he had to redo my order –three times– in a row because he kept screwing up my iced milk tea by putting those extra add-ins in there. Normally, I’m not the type of person to flip out about something like this; but, whenever I point out that’s not what I wanted, he throws a major attitude instead of apologizing for his stupid mistake. During this visit, my boyfriend went in instead of me because I can’t stand that guy. Unsurprisingly, he messed up again and got upset because he had to remake it. Get your shit together and follow directions. Not sure if I’ll be returning to this location anymore. Phở 9’s phở and bubble tea selection is a better alternative, by far.
