Green sauce is the best. Red sauce isn’t bad. Chips were hot and had the perfect texture.
The tortillas are fantastic. You also have your free ice cream at the end.
Service was great. Food came out in a timely matter. Not super fast like Tele’s, but right about average.
I got the fajitas that have bacon, cheese, grilled onions, and mushrooms. The beef was great. Seemed to be cooked just right.
Prices are not dirt cheap. About the same $ as eating at chilis, but the quality is worth it.

Hands down the BEST Tex Mex I’ve ever eaten and goes for any Jalapeño Tree I’ve been to. Wish we had 1 in Louisiana :-(Always great amazing tasting food! Couldn’t begin to tell you which is my favorite dish, there are so many :-)

We went at 11:30 today and at 12:45 we left without getting our food. Horrible service. Nothing but excuses and apologies. If I had not been with a group, I would have left much sooner. Part of our group did get food and it was cold.

The food is usually very good, and you get free soft serve ice-​cream for dessert which the kids love. Chips and salsa are above average. Service is hit or miss. My favorite dish is the beef quesadillas. Good stuff! Another pro is that they occasionally run a special where you can get a $ 10 gift card for the purchase of a $ 25 gift card. THAT’s a great deal!

How can a Mexican restaurant not have good crispy beef tacos? These are dry and tasteless. The lettuce is that pre-​cut stuff in the sack treated with preservative which remains on the lettuce and tastes awful. Fajitas remain the only choice for a decent meal but even then the guacamole tastes pre-​packaged and not fresh. Very disappointing food from what could be a good Mexican restaurant.

I have been coming here for years and never really experienced what I would call «great» service. I have had «good» service here before, but I have also had terrible service. The food is usually on the good side of mediocre, but never terrific. We have had our meals comped here more than once because of piss-​poor service years ago. Hey, the sopapillas are good, that counts for something, right?

I was in Kilgore for a few days, and kept driving by this place, and several times, there were many cars. Thought that was a good barometer, plus I yearned for a good tortilla soup. Ordered just a bowl of soup and tea. That’s it. Wasn’t dissappointed at all… good soup. Chips and salsa were average, green sauce was better than the red.
Only complaint… guess in a small town everyone knows everyone else. The waitress decided to carry on a conversation with the table behind me for the duration of my meal. I was alone so I didn’t have someone else to take my mind off of the discussion.
Soup, drink, chips— dinner was less than $ 8. Can’t beat that now can ya?
