Went to 2 classes this week while on vacation and thoroughly loved the teachers and the classes. It was amazing!!! So soulful and just the perfect way to start a wonderful day in Kauai. Will always come back when I’m here. Also, a really cute boutique… bought some great yogi clothes.

This studio is beautiful and calming. The teachers are equally so. I have been practicing yoga for 30 years, in countless studios with many instructors. This studio tops them all.

Metamorphose yoga is my #1 choice for yoga on the island! Carol, the owner, is a personable and kind masterful yoga instructor. The instructors Ben and Tumasi are amazing, each bringing their own very special talents, gifts and brand of magic. All are wealthy in integrity, wisdom and creativity in their teaching styles. The ambiance, décor, cleanliness, retail store, and special perks like herbal tea after class and great props really give this studio it’s high rating in my book. I love the schedule and the class offerings as well as the overall vibe of this studio. The unique touches of weaving in sound healing through voice, tuning forks and crystal singing bowls adds a richness and depth to the yoga asana practices taught here. And, as a bonus, the Tuesday afternoon acupuncture community clinic is an amazing resource for locals and visitors alike. Kathy is a wonderful, talented and caring practitioner and truly benefited from this weekly offering. Many blessings and Aloha!

Tucked away in little Kilauea Town on Kauai, Metamorphose has a full schedule of classes to suite most yoga needs. I’ve been told from a friend who’s a regular that the owner is very nice and she is picky about which instructors she will allow to lead classes there. Drop in rates are $ 15 and there are various deals to lessen the cost to $ 11 – 12. The studio is clean and well kempt. A portion of it faces the water and that wall has a glass door and window which provide a beautiful view for your session if you choose the right spot. The reception area has the usual yoga gear and some small boutique type items and there is a restroom. Tulasi led my flow type class this New Year morning and she was amazing. She started by asking if there were particulars that anyone wanted to work on this beautiful sunny morning. After gathering that info, she laid out for us how she was going to lead us through what I thought was going to be a 90 minute class. The class was great, had about 9 people and was fine for all levels. The energy Tulasi brought to the class was awesome. She is all over helping out with small adjustments to get us in good form and she gives nice alternatives to poses if one needs. At the end, when we were in the final asana, Shivanasana, she walked around playing a Crystal Singing Bowl to a relaxing Rain Forrest tune. She then sang a short song, in Hindi I think. It was the perfect, soothing and inspiring finish to a great yoga session. She even brewed a Herbal Tea to offer us afterward. All said and done it was 2 hours and I would not have changed or altered anything.

Very sweet and little yoga studio. I tried 2 classes and it’s a wonderful way to start the day! They offer a variety of different classes from different teachers and are open 7 days a week. The staff is friendly and welcoming. I definitely recommend.

My husband and I spent 8 days on the North Shore of Kauai and went to several classes here. The studio is new, clean, light, airy and beautiful. The mats and other things are CLEAN. The people(both instructors and local yogis) are incredibly friendly, warm, and open to visitors. We took all our classes with Carol, one of the co-owners; she was a great instructor who knows her yoga and teaches with a warm and open heart and huge smile. Very accessible personality(Those of us who come from big cities with aloof yoga instructors know why this was so refreshing). She was able to offer an all-level class with lots of offered modifications for those of us who needed them. And each class was very different, some had more flow, others had a slightly different style, so even going to several of her classes in one week, we didn’t get bored or even complacent in the flow. The classes we attended were run with music in the background which complemented the atmosphere without distraction. If you are trying to find it, it’s right next to the Healthy Nut(or something like that) food store in the complex with the Fish Market on the left as you pull into town. Look for them on Facebook for more information.
