Pacific Rootz Tattoo and Body Piercing Maui

I got a tattoo here the other day on my first visit to Maui and I’m in love! Even though I didn’t get a traditional tribal tattoo from them, they still gave me an awesome tattoo. I just got roman numerals of my dad’s birthdate on my left side of my chest. It seemed a little pricey, but I believe it was worth it. Staff are really friendly and professional and gave me options of fonts and sizes and made me feel comfortable.

Went in to see Keahi.
He did a tattoo on my wife a few weeks earlier and she persuaded me it was time to get one. Great guy, great work. Already thinking about my next one.

Super great local shop, clean, welcoming and amazing artists! I got work done by Kuaika and was blown away with his eye and artistic stroke. This is my 2^nd tattoo on the island but 1^st here and I would ONLY come back to Pacific Rootz Tatau for my 3^rd, 4^th and 5^th!!! Massive mahalo guys!

My husband and I got matching tattoos done by Keahi.
We walked in on a Monday and the guy behind the counter was nice and we booked an appointment for the next day.
We had the raw sketch of the tattoo we wanted but Keahi turned it into something great! I love my tattoo and would definitely get another one from him.
O… and he’s really nice and personable.

Had my nose pierced by Chase. he was super nice and professional. Made me feel really comfortable (even though I was nervous!) and didn’t get annoyed with all my questions :) I’ll be going to him for all my future piercings and recommending him to all!

If you advertise you are open until 7:00pm, and you’re a tattoo shop, you probably shouldn’t send all your artists home by 5:00pm. Just a thought.

Samson is the one you want to see! Awesome group of people here, nothing but great things to say about them. I recommend calling in ahead of time and then coming in before your scheduled appointment. Samson’s work is freehand so it will definitely fit your body the way its meant to. If there were more stars he’d get them all!

I was on Maui for vacation with no intention of getting another tattoo. I did, however, have plans to add to an existing Polynesian tattoo when I got home. Through local recommendations and almost an uncanny series of coincidences I was led to Pacific Rootz tattoo and Samson Harp. Keep in mind it took me almost fifty years to get my first tattoo so to say I am picky is an understatement. Samson took the time to listen to what I was looking for and his knowledge and demeanor quickly put me at ease. I left a deposit for the day before we were to depart Maui.
My tattoo experience with Samson was remarkable and one I will treasure. Samson’s knowledge of Hawaiian culture and history combined with a maturity that is hard to find these days made the time fly by.
Samson explained to me that he draws by listening and that’s just what he did. I cannot describe how happy I am with the results. My new addition is nothing less then stunning. Samson joined the old and the new ink so well that I have to explain to people where the transition is.
If I ever add or desire a new tattoo there will only be one choice, Samson Harp and Pacific Rootz Tattoo.

Just got finished with getting a tattoo from Samson this man is the real deal mows his trade and is an expert. It’s only the second tattoo I’ve gotten first was somewhere else and is fine but I just want to say that this experience was much more I don’t know «enjoyable» isn’t the right word but close enough. I showed Samson what I wanted as an idea and he told me that he would use that as inspiration for my tat he free styled the prelim drawing and we went from there. 1 hour later, he’s fast too I had my turtle tat and am proud to recommend him and his shop to the rest of you. I’ll post pictures later as it heals thanks Sampson you’re the man I throughly enjoyed our time discussing a multipul of topics while you created work of art on me thank you for the experience and I hope to be your client again. Samson was super awesome! I highly recommend this studio and can’t imagine having a better experience anywhere else on the island. This is my second session here and will be back next year for another! Mahalo.

My husband and I both got tattoos here. The guys were able to get us in with an hour notice and we couldn’t be happier with it. We both just let the guys free style some Polynesian work and it turned out great!

I’ve been meaning to write a follow up review but within 4 months my conch piercing was completely healed! I was already able to change my ring. Everything Chase had told me was completely true! Def check this place out if you’re looking for a maui memory aka piercing before you head home.

Just got my first tattoo done here today. It was great! I came in a few days ago to schedule the appointment. Very laid back employees who answered all my frantic questions. Came in today and had the final piece done and overall I’m really happy! My tattoo artist was very relaxed and calm, which helped calm down my anxiety. Clean area. Great environment. Awesome employees. I would definitely recommend!

Wow. I just had Kuaika do a leg tattoo and it is GORGEOUS! I originally wanted a cover up but we couldn’t figure out a good solution. He spent quite a bit of time working on it but wasn’t satisfied. I really appreciate that he didn’t want to do something sub par. We relocated the spot and it turned out amazing. He’s a true artist and I will definitely be back! I love it.

Super Impressed with the artists and their information I’m glad my fiancé and I chose this place for her first tattoo and made it part of her first maui trip we had fun while getting our tattoos everyone was very nice and very helpful I will definitely be returning to get more great price and great talent! I give Pacific roots tattoo 5 stars hands down. Best place on Maui to get a tattoo. They are located on South Kihei Road. we walked in to see if they had any availabilities we ask for how long it would be they said 10 to 15 minutes and what I wanted I told him I wanted the faith and hope which would be reversed so whichever way you would read it it would read faith and hope they said they can do that. Keahi he did my tattoo and he was wonderful very gentle on the hands and it took nearly an hour I will be going back to Pacific roots tattoo and see keahi for more work done. this place is very clean and neat.

My wife and I just got some ink done from here really nice work and friendly staff. All local tattoo artists here and they are reasonably priced. Another shop down the block wanted nearly double for same piece. Would come here again.

I stopped by today to get my tattoo from Ian. He truly came across as a consummate tattoo professional. He followed a strong attention to detail from cleaning and sanitation process to the work he performed. He always made sure I was feeling good and my comfort (as much as possible) seemed to be a genuine concern. I would highly recommend.
