The service was good. Our waiter was very nice. But, the food was terrible. We arrived right before the end of breakfast. We had to order in the next 10 minutes. Not really sure why the rush, but, oh well. Then, the omelet and potatoes were dry, overcooked and bland. The French Toast was also very dry and boring. The waiter was nice enough to take the omelet off the bill. However, I have no idea how it was voted the best breakfast in Maui. Did the staff vote for it? I wouldn’t go there again.

Used to love this place, but it has definitely gone downhill. The food needs a tuneup and the place needs a spruce up. I would skip this one at the moment.

Breakfast here was wonderful! The patio was so nice, the service was outstanding, and food was just tasty. Fish, egg, and toast was so SO so SO good. The fish was just flavorful! The OJ was freshly squeezed. Awesome to kick off our last breakfast on the island.

Great breakfast at Longhi’s Wailea! Lox Benedict was sooo yummy! Ashley was our server, she was so sweet and attentive! Keith was also wonderful, let me test out a new Bloody Mary concoction(at no extra cost) which was Divine! I am full and happy!

Amazing Breakfast!!! So far this is my favorite breakfast spot on the island. Restaurant is clean and has great décor. Service was exceptional, our waitress Haley took great care of us! Will come back next time we are on the island.

Nice looking place in a nice neighborhood. My wife and I came in at the same time as another couple, we were taken to a side patio where there was no one while everyone else including the couple that came in after us were seated on the main patio where everyone including the waiters were. The main patio was not at capacity since the waiter had to come from over there to the place we were hidden to take our order. I did not think anything of it until my wife said our order was taking a while and we noticed the couple who came in after us was well into their breakfast. I am the last to play the race card and I always give the benefit of the doubt, but this time it was clear we were not included in the Ohana! That won’t stop me from returning to Maui but it will stop me from ever returning to this restaurant!

By the design and décor we expected better from this restaurant. The appearance, especially for a shopping center spot, is quite nice. Our server was attentive, helpful and cooperative. My wife’s crab cake and artichoke were both very tasty. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich with garlic fries. The sandwich arrived but I honestly thought a piece of chicken must’ve fallen off along the way because what was on the sandwich couldn’t have been more than a couple of ounces. Our helpful server brought it to the attention of the chef who«explained» that it is free range chicken and so it isn’t puffed up and thus looks smaller. I’m not asking for a body-building champion free range chicken on my bun but hey, can’t I get one that covers at least half the bun? Weak. My garlic fries weren’t crispy enough when they were delivered so the kitchen re-did them and they were quite good. I was surprised when a $ 5 charge appeared on the bill for them, though, as there was no indication of an added charge when the server asked if I wanted either plain or garlic fries. Finally — and I admit this is a pet peeve of mine — I resent getting charged for refills on non-alcoholic drinks. At an outrageous $ 4.50 for an Arnold Palmer you’d think they would refill it at no charge. The server did tell me that it was because it was made with«fresh-squeezed lemonade» but I wouldn’t care if it was fresh-squeezed by Jennifer Lawrence… that’s expensive and charging for refills makes a restaurant cheap and low-class. Our server attempted to compensate us with a coupon for a free desert but by then the damage was done. We won’t be back.

Been there, tried it, probably won’t go back intentionally. It was date night for spouse and I. We were in and out in just about an hour, not by our choice. The Yummy Endive platter appetizer was a winner and I would have loved to smear some of the honey mint drizzle deliciousness on my pizza bread but it got snatched away too fast. Partner loved his linquini and clam sauce. My veal picatta was very very lemony and had probably 75+ capers on the small portion of veal. Beaux gave me some of his linguine to soak up the sauce after I built my caper mountain and shoved it off to the side. The veal comes solo with not a single thing on the lonely plate. The server took away my dish while I was still chewing and I had fork in hand. Honeybuns was able to swallow his final bite before it got whisked away. We would have dawdled over the bottle of wine but that was poured so fast we didn’t realize it was finished. $ 40 wine, an appetizer and two entrees for $ 160(including tip). An hour later, I felt so violated that I forgot to even ask if they have Kamaaina deals. Guess they don’t really need to work on customer service since the nearby hotels probably supply them with fresh tourists continuously. If you are into speed dining, or are in a rush, this is the place for you. We prefer the pace of a beautiful tropical island…

Is it fair to post a review when we didn’t eat here? Well, we WANTED to eat here — TRIED to eat here, but the staff made it too challenging. We were escorted to the bar area by the hostess, looking to have an appie and drink for happy hour. There were already two other couples seated at the bar, both enjoying food and drinks, but I wouldn’t describe the place as busy. A bartender was chatting to the people seated directly next to us, didn’t acknowledge us and went to join the second bartender to chat with him. While those two bartenders talked to each other, the third came around to our side of the bar to collect items from a fridge. Still no one looked at us, said hello or offered menus. We sat quietly and watched them, because now it was getting pretty obvious that we were being actively ignored. We waited a couple more minutes, then advised the hostess that since the bar staff didn’t want to help us, we’d take our money elsewhere. Sure, we could have piped up and insisted on being served, but we don’t spend money in establishments that can’t be bothered with even the remote courtesy of greeting patrons.

Don’t waste your time going here. Read the reviews and not the sign out in front of restaurant saying how great they are. I had eggs Benedict on Italian bread? I guess I didn’t read menu but no potatoes. My significant other was waiting for our whole trip to have Hawaii pancakes, they were to thick and doughy

We have visited Maui 30+ times and Longhi’s as many times. With that perspective, we have seen Longhi’s food slip. This visit, I started with a Bloody Mary — served in a ¾ glass not a full glass. To their credit they have updated the menu since last year(which is good and innovative). But I wanted scramble eggs, so I ordered an omelet with bacon and bell peppers and ask that they scramble it. I do not like like omelet’s because I do not like scorched eggs, which is the norm. My eggs were not scrambled(usually cooked in a pan and ‘whipped’) but cooked on a flat grill and folded over and cut up — and scorched of course. The other items we ordered were: The ‘original’ potatoes which were great; The cinnamon roll was a little dry. My wife’s poached eggs were perfect as was her mimosa. Maybe it’s just one bad outing for me, but we will see.

We came for dinner with some friends. The service started out decent but got progressively worse through the night. We ordered a Mac and cheese side as well as an order of fries. When dinner arrived both of these items where missing. after asking he said they would be right out. We didn’t see the waiter again for 15 minutes. He shows up with the Mac and cheese after we where done eating, our friends politely let him know they no longer wanted it. he tried to convince and said he let another waiter take theirs for another table. I had to remind him about the fries and just let him know we no longer wanted them either. At this point I felt he should have attempted to make amends for the screw up but instead just took the Mac away and brought the bill a few minutes later. I have eaten at Longhis many times over the years and I’m positive the waiter has been there for years… shame he didn’t take better responsibility for his screw up and try to make things right. This will be the last time I eat there for a good long time.

We’ve been to Longhi’s on a number of trips to Maui(we’ve been coming to Maui about 36 years. We started when my sister was living here and fell in love with the island). Tonight, we went with another couple, close friends from the mainland, for dinner. We started with wine, which took some time for the server to get to us. Then we places our orders. Three of us ordered a salad, my wife a nd I sharing what was supposed to be a Ceasars salad. Not! The other salad appeared to be somewhat better. Three of the party ordered a fresh fish hat was sautéd in white wine, butter with mushrooms, which was very good. I ordered the prawns cooked in white wine, butter and garlic. All entrees are Ala carte. My prawn dish, which was $ 39.00 had a total of six prawns. No rice or anything else was on the plate. Well, dinner for four ended up being about $ 250.00 with coffee for 3 and one dessert 2e all shared. To say the least, I felt that the meal was ridiculously overpriced and the service was hardly what one would expect for the price of the meals. If anyone ever suggest that we should go to Longhi’s for dinner, I for one will vote NO!

After reading mixed reviews on breakfast here – was pleasantly surprised with our wonderful experience! Pros: Kristian, our server went out of his way to make sure we were happy – no requests were too much! Lovely outdoor seating – bright and spaciou Breakfast amazing – scrambled an omelet – cooked perfectly. Fresh ingredients. All baked goods made in house – great pancakes and toast Compared to the hotels, prices about half. In the teens. Cons — -didn’t find any today. Give breakfast a try — tell ur server u found on Unilocal – so they know u are discriminating customers!

Great atmosphere, great food Cheaper than the resorts All tables are outside open air but covered from the sun I had the French toast with macadamia nuts & coconut syrup with a side of ham… soooo good Check it out if you’re in Wailea on lower level of the Shops of Wailea

We decided to have breakfast here since the options at our resort were slim. We were greeted by the hostess and sat immediately. She had to get our water after a few minutes and it seemed it was because there was one server. He finally got to us and we placed our order. The drinks came at the same time as the food. My pancakes were very fluffy and good. I picked the bananas off and he actually removed them from the bill. My husband enjoyed the eggs Benedict with crab cakes. All in all, for the wait time and price I would go somewhere else.

Longhi’s is located in the super-high end shopping of The Shops at Wailea. It’s funny because I remember the first time we came to Maui, this place was a flat piece of land with some simple touristy shops forming the perimeter around a small, grass lawn. And now, there’s Louis Vuitton. Sigh… Buddanyway… Longhi’s is great. Crisp, clean tables, attentive staff, everything makes you feel pampered and, if you’re staying at any of the nearby resorts, you already know the feeling. Whenever we come to Maui, we kick off our vacation by coming here and getting the lobster eggs benedict. The dish is disgustingly rich. I am filled with shame after eating it much s I am filled with shame after eating a delicious veal or unctuous foie gras. The hollandaise sauce is tart and provides a nice counter balance to the lobster. Speaking of which, you get TONS. It’s actually a lot of lobster for this type of dish. Most places would probably skimp and just give you a morsel or two just for the sake of calling whatever dish a «lobster» dish but these guys give you your money’s worth. Had a Bloody Mary with it which was… disappointing. Lots of ice and somewhat watery. The best thing about it is that you could really tell there was vodka in there. But, as any good bartender(when did we start using the PC term of mixologist so frequently?)balance is key and having your drink so booze forward probably isn’t ideal.(Best Bloody Mary, IMO is from Grey Horse Tavern back home in NY). Still, this is a great way to shift gears, focus on being hedonistic and start your vacation! Cheers!

I ordered Bloody Mary and it was ok. Very small and watery. Lots of ice cubes so it felt like I was drinking watered down juice. I prefer tall glass with real tomato juice with some pulp. For lunch I had mussels which were ok. The tomato sauce had lots of paprika instead of some vinegar taste. I’ve had better. The mussels itself were big and good. Just the sauce needs more flavor. The spicy paprika doesn’t go with it well. Service was great but maybe I chose wrong food & drink.

We have eaten at Longhi’s many times over the years, and have never had a bad experience, so even though their Unilocal reviews aren’t special, we came back today for lunch. Our server, Matt was very helpful, and when I asked which sandwich he would recommend, he suggested the Philly Cheese Steak sandwich and to add mushrooms. I ordered it, and my wife had a BLT. Both of us enjoyed our food, and the service. My sandwich with out a doubt was the best Philly Cheese sandwich I have ever had. Longhi’s is much better than the reviews, and worth visiting
