This dive shop, especially in the wailea mall, has excellent service. The lady who run us up was FANTASTIC. She gave us detailed information about the place and tips to my friends how to use their gear. She made our visit so pleasant. Comparing this to the one in Kihei, this one actually made me feel like a valuable customer. If I had to choose which dive shop to go back to, I would come back to this specific one. Also, Wailea is just a beautiful town to go to.

With all the generic surf shops in the Shops of Wailea, it was nice to see one that had a local name. Don’t get me wrong, the other chain surf were great here, in fact some of them were larger than this shop and had more variety. Even though it was a small shop, they are more than just surf; they are a dive shop. Come here for your dive or snorkel needs.

This«dive shop» is not. They have no gear for diving. It’s just a clothing store. If you want diving gear, look for a shop by this same name in Kihei.

Did I bore you??? Went back to exchange snorkel equipment. One friendly staff member, one grumpy. Guess who I got? Still better to rent from here(25 $/week) than the 20 $/day at the resort. Ouch!

I recently used Maui Dive Shop for a snorkel trip out to Molokini Crater. They came to my hotel(Marriott Wailea) to pick me up and took me to their Kihei location to pick up my gear. From the shop, we went to the dock where the boat was awaiting. Once out to the crater, we were pretty much the only boat there. 20 of us snorkeled for an hour and saw all sorts of fish, eels, and even a white tipped reef shark(he was small, maybe 4 ft long). All in all, it was a great day trip, and for $ 35(including gear and transportation), it was a steal!

It was really easy to rent gear here, and less expensive than at our hotel. They also had wetsuit jackets for rent, at reasonable prices. Lastly, it was really great being able to return gear to any Maui Dive Shop, not just the one where we picked up our equipment. If ever on Maui again, I would use these services.

Are they still around? Back in 2002 I went here to book two excursions, one that took a 14 seater mini bus around the island from Kihei to Hana(stopping by the 7 pools on the way) and back. Bumpy ass ride that got my sig other car sick, but extra points to the tour guide for having candied ginger to help alleviate the symptoms. Got a snorkel tour for Molokini crater. Weather was not tip top that morning, but it was fun. Our online contact was very helpful and answered my questions in the chat room very promptly, service was excellent. I think her name was Sophia? Can’t remember.
