We found this wonderful little café via Unilocal. We have been coming to Maui for years and this year found this gem. It has the best by far authentic Mexican food. We can’t say enough good things about our new found favorite!

The fish ceviche tostada is the best! I have one every time I go. I have slowly been trying other items and haven’t been disappointed with anything. I wish I could get a big group of friends together so I could have a taste of everything. Muy Bueno!

Very good street tacos! This isn’t your typical Americanized Mexican Restaurant. They do not have chips & salsa as an app and no rice and beans as a side. This place is hard to find, but just put it in your GPS and it should take you right to the front door. Legit place and a must try!

If you want AUTHENTIC Mexican food it does not get more authentic than this. Flashes me back to growing up in San Antonio. Can’t beat the price! So happy to have a little bit of Mexico in Maui!

Very fresh and authentic and like the others, we thought the ceviche was excellent! The restaurant is clean and it smells delicious when you walk in. We had a difficult time finding it, it is located on the ground floor of a two story office building. Enjoy!

EXCELLENT the ceviche is DELICIOUS!!! Fresh and dripping with juices… I ordered and ate it and had to order more even though I was stuffed because it’s so good. FINALLY an authentic Mexican food place in Maui. Absolutely wonderful. Bravo.

I think this is likely the best Mexican place in Kihei. It’s an unassuming little hole in the wall. The first time I went there I had some of their tacos, they were good but not amazing. Since then I’ve tried the ceviche toastada and the carnitas burrito, both of which are amazing. Their salsas are really good as well, including an extra spicy one that is actually … extra spicy. Kind of disturbing this place has been flying under my radar for as long as it has — what else am I missing?

Very tasty. Fish ceviche tostada was delicious & refreshing. Carnitas were tender and flavorful, but not overwhelmed with spices. I would definitely return and try other dishes. Much better than other Mexican I’ve tried on this side of Maui.

Ok so I don’t know who in Maui has been keeping this place secret but honestly the most authentic Mexican food on Maui. I’ve lived here for a long time and this is the first time I’ve been here and they’ve been there for 8 years! Had a very long enjoyable conversation with the owner. He said that people always ask him what he recommends and he says they are all the best because he chooses everything he puts into it. He uses family recipes that he learned from his mom and Grandma. Real authentic food… I had two of the tamales and my wife had fish taco and chicken taco with drinks under $ 20…the food you could tell was cooked with love. This was amazing and the little dining area with three tables was cozy and had that feel of Mexico. Great times we will be back and won’t keep this place a secret.

I was desperately looking for authentic Mexican food during my vacation in Kihei. I found this little place on Unilocal and tried it the following Monday. I had 2 bomb ass carnitas tacos. The carnitas tasted well seasoned, fresh and were not greasy at all. If you are in Maui and want real Mexican food give this place a try. They also have tamales, tortas and tostadas de nopales. The place also sells Mexican products such as dried chiles, canned ethnic goods, tortillas and tamale making supplies. The lady that helped us was very friendly and the service was quick even though everything was made to order. I will definitely come back to this place next time I’m in Kihei.

So glad I saw the sign for this new place. I walked in and asked the owner, «How long have you been open?» He replied, «8 years.“LOL. He said he just had a new window sign painted and I’m glad he did. Based on previous comments I ordered the shrimp and AL Pastor tacos. I also ordered the shrimp ceviche. Everything was good. The al pastor was flavorful, tender and not fatty. Although I like fatty pork, this was really good. The fish Taco was the best I’ve had. I may not be from Mexico or California, but I know fish, and this was 5 stars for sure. The ceviche was good. It was probably better than good but I really only of my wife’s ceviche which is probably not authentic. No avocados in it but it was good. For those of you that aren’t onion fans, beware. It’s like an onion buffet. I can’t wait to go back and try the rest of their offerings.

I love this place. By far the best Mexican food I’ve had since moving to Maui. I’ve tried the carne asada, pastor and pescado tacos and all were very very good. The carne asada was my favorite of the three. Their tamales are some of the best I have had too. You can also get a tamale with the works as I call it hahaha! It comes with sour cream, chopped tomato, cilantro and I believe cotija cheese. So filling and so good. They also have a tiny salsa bar which is always nice cause I love loading up on the hot sauces and pickled veggies. I’m a sucker for the hot sauce cause I like it hot! hot! hot! I’m a dork lol. Well anywho the two things that are a bummah is that they only take cash and they are not opened on the weekends. If they were you would know where to find me. Go get some!

Wow! Finally found authentic Mexican food on the island. The tamale bowl(sour cream, cheese, lettuce, tomato, cilantro on top) and shrimp ceviche tostada were outstanding!

This place doesn’t look like much from the outside(it’s in a strip mall) but the food knocked us off our feet. What a find! We got a burrito, which was pretty filling and hands down our favorite plus 2 tacos – chicken was delicious but the fish one stole the show. By this time our stomachs were full but we really wanted to try the tamales too. That turned out to be a great call. We got it with all the fixins for $ 1 extra and it was totally worth it. Just a note, the number listed in the info above connects to another shop with the same name. Their correct number is(808) 874‑4911.

There is a reason why this place has all 5 Stars. We drove from Lahaina to Big Beach and stopped here for an early breakfast. We were the first customers and I do not recall a more real and cozy feel to a restaurant. The inside of the store/restaurant is tiny. say about 2 – 4 tables but the flavor of the tacos were the BEST in Maui. The owner move to the Island 8 – 9 years ago and asked us how did we know about his store which is hidden in a small strip mall. We told him about all the positive reviews and he was flabbergasted. Guy had no idea that people love his place so much. Our best breakfast in Maui only cost a grand total of $ 16(for 2) Yeah you’ll go to Roy’s or Star Noodle, but if you are in South Maui, don’t miss this gem. HIGHLY Recommended. Oh and my wife did a smart thing by buying the tamarind lollipop they sell(Tamaroca)… Do yourself a favor and buy 4 – 5 of these things before you get on Road to Hana or Haleakala. It’ll keep you awake.

Excellent tacos and tamales. Made me homesick for the street tacos I used to get in Encinada. Can’t beat this place for quality food for under $ 10!
