Fast service. Food was good. I didn’t have many options since I don’t eat pork. Hehe. But their papaya smoothie was so dam good. I ate plantains and toast.

This is someplace we go to every time we visit Key West. The food is good and reasonably priced. Unfortunately, this past week when we were there, the gentleman at the counter was absolutely ignorant! He was outright rude! We still enjoyed our sandwiches, and will likely return in the future, but it ruined our usual pleasant experience, and if he is at the counter we may just keep walking instead of getting one of our Cuban staples the next time.

Authentic Cuban. Hole in the wall. Walk up from the street, order from a little stand that looks like a lemonade state, and and sit on the porch of a convenient store and watch all the tourists go to the Southernmost Point. They are known for their sandwiches, cuban bread and cuban coffee, but have a very extensive menu, for very reasonable prices(written in chalk).

Always a line(a good sign). Get a breakfast sandwich or a delicious fresh smoothie. Or both! So good we went back the next morning.

Baller ass authentic Cuban sandwiches and con leiche! This was the last food stop for me in Key West. The(then) bachelor would not let us leave without eating here once. I’m glad he insisted. I remember it being ridiculously hot this particular morning so I wasn’t super thrilled about getting hot coffee, but I did at his behest. The coffee was super rich, and absolutely deliscous. It took me a while to finish because it was, again, hot as hell out and the richness in flavor never relented. The authentic Cuban sandwich was mouthwatering. In fact, as I type this review months after the fact, a slight salivation ensues. You order at a walk up window, but there’s plenty of outdoor seating wrapped around this place. There’s also a little convenience store attached next door. Their menu was extensive, seems like a good place to go morning to night for grub. Next time I’ll have to try some of the breakfast, it looked amazing on other people’s plate.

Nice little lunch place. Actually called Ana’s. The Cuban sandwiches we’re great! Had steak and pork as well. The dinner plates looked fantastic. Very small place wit picnic table eating only.

Excellent pork egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. Delicious caffe con leche. Eggs beans and rice special was good too. Simple place with outdoor picnic table dining.

Shout out to Jireh for the recommendation– we quickly re-routed our drive after reading his review. He sized up our predicament embarrassingly well… The food was pretty darn good here – best Cuban pork on the island and decent size portions. One side note is that the Latin restaurants say they serve plantains but they have all served maduro’s which are the little sweet bananas – not the green ones. They were excellent here! Left feeling pleasantly full.

Real Cuban in Key West!(See my other Key West non Cuban Cuban food reviews :) Cortadito was spot on. Strong sweetened w turbinado sugar lots of real crema on top. Shakes made with real fruit and juice. Fresh coconut juice from young coconut. Lots of shaded tables friendly service right down the street from southernmost point. If I lived here this would be my spot.

Guy at the counter was super rude. Had a smart ass attitude with customers. Place looked super dirty. I would stay away from this place. Flies everywhere on cooking things.

This place is awesome! It was right outside of the hotel we were staying at. First, they have really good café con leche and the prices were excellent $ 2.00 small. Two days in a row we got the mango smoothie $ 4.50 was just amazing ! I was at the pool dreaming of this. Except I went over at 4:15 and the window was closed. Today we got a fruit salad that was very fresh fruit cut up. Also, the staff is friendly and the prices are great for Key West.

Stopped in here(it’s a mini mart with a small kitchen and outdoor seating) to grab some detergent for the stanky clothes, morning time-ish. The place was packed with people lining up at a window to order any number of huge breakfast plates, all for under $ 8. Say what, this shanty convenience store is also an authentic Cuban restaurant? I’ll take a café con leche please(would’ve ordered up the world, but I was full). Watched him make it– he sweetened my 12oz latte with an ice cream scooper full of golden raw sugar. In the words of Big Head Todd: It’s bittersweet, more sweet than bitter, bitter than sweet. This coffee is a must have in Key West. I’ll be back for the savory.

It’s a food mart with a breakfast/lunch window. We went for Cuban food and the definitely had it but it was fair at best. Had the Cuban and Croquets and cheese sandwiches. Cuban was fair and the other had slices of square Orange American cheese not melted. I’d skip this unless you need a cheap place for water and beer

Stayed at the Southernmost and came here for Cuban coffee each morning(from $ 2-$ 3 depending on size) They make it strong and sweet. Ask them to tone down the sugar if you do not like it too sweet. They also have standard breakfast sandwiches with eggs and meats and Cuban sandwiches with roast pork, ham, Swiss, and mustard — all made with Cuban bread that toasts up nice and crispy(~$ 6 – 7) Good to grab and go if you are visiting the butterfly museum or the Southernmost point nearby. Seating on the porch is also available.

Best breakfast food and value so far. Very engaging chap at the order window… made sure of everything we ordered. Basic, yet delicious. Cuban special with Cuban coffee and the hangover breakfast were great. Would highly recommend instead of the high price hotel cafes up and down South St.

Great spot for inexpensive breakfast, lunch and a cafecito. It’s kinda hidden in a residential neighborhood. The only reason they don’t get the 5th star is because the line was very slow. They need to improve their agility back there, but it’s a great place if you don’t want to go sit in a restaurant

This Cuban café is tucked in a quiet neighborhood. We were glad we discovered this place as it was located right across from the hotel where we stayed. The Cuban coffee was insanely good; it had the smoothness and a bit of bitterness kick to it. The ham, egg and cheese sandwich that I ordered for breakfast was simple but had the Cuban ingredient to making it so delicious.
as we were staying at The Reach. Going to places for breakfast was a little bit of a walk, specially since we were unwilling to wake up before 10am(come on, who doesn’t want to sleep at least a little bit). right off the corner of the block though, there is a deli, and on the same porch, this place was an absolutely terrific find. It was not open all day long, seemed to be only for breakfast and lunch. Ended up eating 3 meals here, 2 breakfasts, and 1 lunch. the bacon egg and cheese sandwich was very good, and the cuban sandwich for lunch one time, was obviously, very good. you cant beat the prices of this place either. also a side note, the coffee, tea and OJ was very good also, cuban and american coffee. once thing to remember, its a small porch like seating area, and a stand you go up to. EASILY worth it if staying on the south part of the island. (review never posted from 2011)
