We had read the Unilocal reviews and decided we needed to try Bien before we left Key West and we are really glad that we did. We stopped for lunch and got seafood in red sauce and roasted corn. It was so good we decided to go back to get our dinner before they closed. Highly recommend trying Bien if you’re in key west.

Hands down the best meal I’ve had in Key West! The Pressed sandwich was amazing and melty. The corn was the best I ever had. I’m sad to be leaving tomorrow and won’t be able to eat here again.

We’ve been here 3 times in our last 2 visits to Key West. Love it! Make sure to try the beans and rice, the corn, the roast pork, and the chicken thighs. I haven’t had the seafood yet, but that’s next on my list.

Super delicious food and friendly service. I was in Key West for four days and went to Bien twice. I tried to go a third time but they were closed for the evening. Casual place for take-away or outside dining. Vegetarian friendly.

I think this is definitely a place worth checking out. It’s super casual with outdoor bench seating only. Very good vibe! I had a couple of wee-tiny gripes with the food, but they were personal preference related. I felt the roast pork needed a little more acidity, perhaps vinegar or citrus, it was just a little flat for me. Also, the wife and I both felt everything needed more salt. However, like I said, these are personal preferences. I’m just adding them to my comment for the purpose of constructive criticism. In case the chef/staff reads these posts. The food was very good, fresh, and this is a great place to check-out :) Ps/I almost forgot! I do need to rave about the salad! It was so simple, yet sublime!

LOVELOVELOVELOVE!!! When we came to Key West for our ‘baby moon’ this was the very first place I looked up. Definitely one of the best meals I’ve ever had! I ordered their roasted corn, it’s a whole roasted corn on a cob with aioli, cilantro, lime juice and some chili powder. OMG! Seriously legit! Seeing all the pictures on by other Unilocalers I had to try their seafood red sauce with mahimahi. Everything was so fresh, bursting with flavor, and portions are very generous. There’s no inside seating but they do have an outdoor cooling system to enjoy your meal while people watching. When I come back to Key West I’m definitely coming back here!

This food is legit. We ordered the seafood in red sauce with Mahi Mahi– which was so fresh! The press which was slamming and the Bien salad with scallops. All were amazing. They also sell a few bottle alcoholic drinks like Mikes hard mango punch. Everything was delicious and generous portions. We will be back.

Getting ready to leave KW for the season ~ heading back to Portland, Maine for the ‘othaa summah’. Very grateful to be able to live in two special places with GREATFOOD. Two orders tonight — to go as we are still packing up the camper. Caribbean Scallops — no spice as my husband is a baby. Caribbean Roast Dinner — for me. I almost tore into the bag on the way home the aroma was sooooo wonderful! Both Entrees were excellent(as always). Fresh, Fresh, Fresh food — and the salad tops it off. Portions are very generous — could be shared, but you probably won’t want to! Bien — see you in October!

I found this place based on the wonderful reviews and, coincidentally, it was just down the street from my hotel. It isn’t open on Mondays and Tuesdays so plan accordingly. I just came for the much talked about fire roasted corn. Yes, it’s pretty spectacular with its aioli, Parmesan cheese, cilantro, salt, paprika, and fresh lime juice. You may never want to eat plain corn again…

I almost panicked when I was laying out my return food safari to Key West and Paseo was not there. I pulled up Google maps and saw that bien was in the proper spot so my panic abated slightly. Pictures of the corn made me relax even more. First stop Monday was bien. Strike 1. They are closed Monday and Tuesday. We had one chance to hit it on Wednesday morning. The breakfast menu was awesome. Superb. Only problem was corn was not available until 11:30. Strike 2 Oh well, looks like breakfast. Play a while and grab corn on the way out of town. Home run!

Good restaurant. I had their Mahi Mahi lunch special with rice and salad. Mahi Mahi flavor was little too strong for my taste, though. Otherwise, good service and good location. I enjoyed eating on their bench while watching the roosters sluggishly roam around the area :) OH let me also mention, they give out GENEROUS portion.

I am so glad we went here! Best Cuban sandwich I have EVER had everything was so fresh and delicious. I love that it is located on the corner and you can sit outside and enjoy the weather. 5 stars best Cuban food in Florida!!! After eating here we tried a handful of other places… Nothing compares to this delicious authentic restaurant. If I could give it 6 stars I would. Can’t wait to come back to key west just to go to this spot.

Tips: Dont order«DINNER» To be more specific, dont order #22 but order #19 instead(it’s the same thing without salad but way cheaper).

Came for the Roasted Corn with Parmesan cheese and lime juice, Pulled Pork Roast Dinner with Jasmine Rice and Black Beans, and a side Bien Salad. You order by number. All items are served in Styrofoam dinner cartons, whether take-away or dine at the few stool tables outside. Yes, ambiance is very close to dining outside a street food vendor truck. Critique. Not a lot of flavor since pulled pork was lacking in marinade. Bien Salad seemed to be missing oil from the vinaigrette. And our order, near 7 pm closing time, was prepared in error. Since Bien was about to close, we just ate what we were served. Overall, inattentive in every detail. Then, to top it off, as I was finishing a disappointing meal, bird overhead pooped on my arm and in my take-out tray. Can’t make this stuff up. Alert: Discovered upon leaving that some neighborhood parking spaces are marked in the street«Resident Only». Markings at nite are nearly invisible and there is no usual signage, so look carefully. Luckily no ticket.

Key casual. Limited seating. Amazing food. This has the ambience of street food vendor with permanent kitchen attached. We ate the pork, the mahi, and a smattering of other delectables. Best black beans ever. Get the corn on the cob. It’s pretty close to mine, which are perfect. Honestly, I might vacation in the Keys just to eat here again.

There’s no shortage of excellent food in Key West, and this is no exception. In fact, it’s in my top 2. My wife and I came here for back-to-back meals. Dinner, and breakfast the next morning. Both were incredible. There’s not much I can say that hasn’t already been said. The corn, of course, is unlike anything I’ve ever had. The pork sandwich, and the steak sandwich I had for breakfast, are probably the best sandwiches I’ve ever had, and everything is priced well, especially for the portions. It will likely be the best value-for-money meal you’ll have in Key West. The outside seating is great, too. There are some quite ambitious chickens around, a Key West tradition, and it drives home the informal, street food feeling of the place. If it’s Wednesday-Sunday in Key West, you need to be here.

Yum! Just go in and order! So we almost didn’t eat here, the outside(where you eat if you choose to eat there –there is no inside seating) just looked so uncharismatic… but I figured, how could all these Unilocalers be wrong? And they weren’t! The pullled pork dinner was delicious, the beans tastful — the pork moist and the salad with beets and vinegar, crisp. The roasted corn was also incredible –seasoned and buttered perfectly. I am so glad we found this place at the beginning of our stay here in Key West, I’m already looking forward to the next meal there.

This is a really good spot for lunch. The sandwiches are under 10 dollars and they will fill you up. We ordered the pulled pork #1 and steak sandwich #3 and they were both really good. The sauce and the cilantro worked really well together. Also the jalapeño gave it an extra kick and flavor. I was looking forward to the corn that everyone has been talking about but I was a little disappointed. It was a little undercooked but the flavors were there. Maybe I’m just extra picky with corn since it’s one of my favorites things.

1st step: higher your expectations 2nd step: enjoy. This place had one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. I found this gem(even though it was only 3 blocks from the place I was staying) the 2nd to last day in Key West. So, naturally, I went twice. Had to bring one to the airport! All sandwiches are on a lightly toasted baguette slathered with ailoi(garlic mayo), fresh cilantro, pickled jalapenos, crisp romaine & caramelized onions. I got the #2(Paseo Press — $ 10.50) — succulent morsels of roasted pork nestled apot banana peppers draped with sheer slices of smoked ham, swiss cheese, caramelized onions all melted together between a hot press(no lettuce). and the #4(Palomilla Steak — $ 9.75, plus .75 for cheese) — thin slices of marinated grade A top sirloin beef quickly seared on a flat top. I feel like the #2 was a staple, but the #4 was my favorite. I don’t enjoy steak on a regular basis, but my friend got this, I had a bite, and knew that’s what I wanted the next day. It was AMAZING!!! The place is small, as you can’t eat inside, and you order and either take it to go, or sit outside at their out door space. I’d recommend eating it right away as it’s best hot and ready. I wish I found this place earlier in the week because I would have liked to try to Onion sandwiches. Also, the corn, got it, it was YUMYUM.
