Point of View Key Largo RV Resort

I agree with previous post. Such a shame we have one less campground for us campers. This is by far the best RV campground in key largo. Lots are big enough for your rig/​car/​boat and trailer. Safe for kids to play. Quiet and clean environment, large pool and gym. This RV park was just opened about 3 years ago and will now most probably be re-​developed.

A bayside RV park at mile marker 99 in Key Largo is likely headed for redevelopment into a 138-​unit luxury resort.
Cheeca Holdings LLC, the Jackson, Wyo. company that used to own the famous Cheeca Lodge in Islamorada, submitted an application to the Monroe County Planning Department on Feb. 2.
According to the Monroe County Property Appraiser’s Office website, Cheeca Holdings bought the 12-​acre waterfront property, which is now the Point of View Key Largo RV Resort, from Northstar Resort Enterprises Corp. on Dec. 17 for $ 11.2 million.

Well felt I had to add this review. This is our third year here, POV has only been open for 3 ½ years. As I mention in the last review it has been sold to a developer with plans for 2 luxury hotel buildings, 2 pools and 2 restaurants. Things change and the location is magnificent. Who can blame the new owner. However, the new owners are not maintaining the RV park. It is filled with potholes, there is NO security and people just drive in with a car load of people and use the pool, dock, and boat ramp. Others walk in with their pets walk around and allow their pets to crap and pee in the individual sites and do not even attempt to pick up after the pets. Others still, anchor their boats off the resort come in by small Inflatable boats and again use the pool and walk pets thought the park. The police were called twice by the residents. I am not faulting the staff, they try very hard. The new owners have tied their hands not allowing them to do anything but the bare minimum. The entire 12 acre park is supposed to be gated, ha. There are no gates and what ever fence there is has been knocked down. No repairs take place at all. When the office staff leave at night, there is no contact with park employees, you are on your own. Unfortunately, one of the most beautiful RV parks I have seen has become a DUMP. If you have reservations look elsewhere, it is getting worse by the day. Be forewarned, still beautiful, but underlying problems are growing expediently.,

we recently stayed here. what a beautiful place… But our friend’s had to leave after 1 day due to their air not working. felt so bad. but the management called my friend and gave him a three night stay for free. they also felt bad. what customer service… we loved our stay and we will be back. often!!! great sunsets, beautiful pool. views to die for… just a beautiful place to stay… also very family friendly… but not so for the pets. rocks on the road are painful to our pets. gravel everywhere so leave the pets home…

Wow loved this place. Stayed here 5÷29÷15−5÷31÷15. Has a nice size pool sorry having to much fun i forgot to take a picture. Nice game room with a billiards table for $ 1.Everywhere is nice and clean. Outstanding staff helpful and friendly.

What can I say, I love this place!!! This is our third summer here and I hope many more in the future

Wow. I can’t believe I am the 1^st to write a review for this amazing establishment. Newly opened 2 years ago. Right on the Gulf of Mexico. There is boat dockage and a ramp for the boaters.. A nice little sandy beach with clear water. I have rented the last 2 years for 3 months during summer months and again this year (2015). All the staff is friendly and all the facilities are new and very clean. Close to all the hot spots/​attractions in Key Largo. They have kayak and paddle board rentals on property. You may want to check the website for RV restrictions. No Tents allowed. Perfect RV spot for luxury coaches. More upscale RV park.
