We were recommended the place by the locals. Two separate people have cautioned us about the food. They were right. We went in the upstairs part of the restaurant. It is supposed to be «nicer». Downstairs serves typical bar food while upstairs one can get a «nice» meal. My husband and I had lobster bites to split. Deep fried and pretty good. I ordered their Diablo pasta. It had shrimp, scallops, muscles, and clams. It was just okay… Not what one would expect for $ 24… My husband’s «fresh catch» hog fish didn’t have much flavor($ 28). He had to ask for a sauce just to make it more flavorful. The atmosphere was nice and one can’t beat the view of the sunset. Nice server. Would not return for dinner, but will do for the view. Live music and chill feel was great downstairs.

Took my husband and family for a Father’s Day dinner. Awful … Food was cold, my fish from a mixed basket was a deep fried frozen fish stick. My shrimp tasted old. My husband also couldn’t even eat his meal it was so bad. Never going back

The service was awful. Server was rude. The food I was served was not as ordered. Update: owner contacted me to follow up and apologize. Classy move. Thank you.

It’s our last night in Key Largo and we were looking for a nice place with music and waterside dining. We found the Bayside Grill on Unilocal with a 10% off coupon. That sealed the deal. They have a nice large bar area downstairs and air conditioned seating upstairs with great view f the sunset. We thought we’d be disappointed because it was overcast but the sun came through at just the right time. We had crab cakes and fried shrimp followed by yummy key lime pie. After dinner we lingered outside listening to the music and watching the water. The service was outstanding and they honored the discount.

We have been coming here for years, have never had a mad meal. The food is always great, drinks and atmosphere are excellent but most of all they have one of the prettiest sunset in the keys. Ps. They also have Friday night live music. Reg Cacicedo

The view and atmosphere is incredible and worth it. The food was medium. It wasn’t anything special. The service was good. There was live music and a bar downstairs. It was casual and a great place to watch the sunset.

Atmosphere was good with some food and a loaded corona. Nice by the water patio. Fish tacos were very good. Little neck clams were of the chain with the lemon wine sauce. Staff very nice.

Awesome ambience and food. Great place to see the sunset, enjoy views of the ocean while listening to a live band. The food was amazing seafood with a Caribbean twist! The seafood curry was my favorite! The keys platter was also very good with a nice key lime sauce. We will definitely be back!

What a wonderful experience. Keeping up with the restaurants in key largo over just 2 short days is hard since the local fare consists of conch and other seafood. However this joint offers up a spectacular sunset view and two levels of food and service. Although the kitchen is upstairs, downstairs is an open area with a way more casual dining vibe and does not include the more refined dishes served upstairs. We hung out for sunset downstairs with a live band, the hostesses upstairs and downstairs were personable and sweet. Dinner consisted of definite winners. The soup of the day which was a tomato bisque with baby shrimp and crab is a must for any time any where. It was fluffy and light. Although the kitchen was getting jammed real fast I enjoyed seeing the action since it is an open kitchen and you inside the line. However for damage control the servers started bringing out coconut cranberry bread with a warm key lime glaze that exceeded anything I have eaten in a long time. Outstanding! Our entrée then arrived, a crispy fresh whole fried snapper in a cherry pepper lime butter which was overpowering in the most delicious way! The rice was delicious as well as the fresh vegetables. It was An amazing dinner and if we were here for a longer time I would go back. Very yummy!!!

The view is great but the food upstairs fell short. The stuffed chicken was dry(over-cooked) and the ribs and shrimp special was so-so. The ribs were nothing new(tasted like pot roast) and the shrimp was inedible; overcooked and dry– it didn’t even look appealing and should not have been served.(It was pale and wrinkled rather than pink and plump). We did not stay for the live music so we cannot comment on that. My recommendation based on our visit was to stay downstairs and enjoy the sunset and a drink — and head somewhere else for your dinner.

Great food and great service! My husband and I had the mahi fish sandwich. It was really good and if we were big eaters we probably would of ordered another one! My son who is very picky got fish fingers and LOVED them!!! They have a great happy hour from 4−7pm with great drink deals! I really loved the rum punch! They are great for watching the sunset! We will be back here! First time to the Keys and so happy this was my first place to eat!

Kids chicken fingers tasted fresh. Hubby’s seafood bucket was good. The waiter said the New York strip was the most popular steak, so I ordered that. It was also the most expensive item. It was huge, over cooked and bland. I asked for the mango topping to see if that would help, but that was very light as well. The rice and beans were good. They don’t have sweet tea. They have unsweetened flavored tea. Great view. Pricey.

Although it’s a wonderful place to watch the sunset, the restaurant is garbage. Very low quality food that you can tell has more preservatives than a box of Twinkies. My husband who has a soy allergy was only able to eat an unseasoned grilled fish with plain steamed vegetables. Both the fish and the vegetables were overcooked so he left hangry. My dish was the only decent tasting one at the table, which was the seafood enchilada. Lots of sauce and«extras» but I guess that’s why it tasted good. The bread is pretty delicious but c’mon, they’re basically cinnamon rolls. We were pretty grossed out by dessert, so we didn’t order any. Also, the service was bordering awful as the food took forever to come out. Sure it’s a convenient location but no thanks, we will be skipping out next time.

While enjoying a great dinner next door at Snook’s I wandered onto the deck and I noticed a raucous crowd enjoying the live music at DiGiorgio’s. Naturally after dinner we decided to go check out the scene. You have to be looking for DiGiogio’s to find it as it is down a narrow street and the entrance isn’t prominent. When we arrived there was a live music duo playing some great rock classics. The bar is no-frills old school keys. Drinks here are reasonable and the atmosphere is very casual. There are picnic tables on the sand where you can enjoy the music but no table service so if you sit here you need to go to the bar yourself, however there are also table service seats available if you want to grab a bite. Just drinks for us but overall I would come back here again as it is an awesome place to enjoy the sunset with an awesome laid-back keys vibe.

Beautiful location on the water, great place for a sunset! The restaurant is divided between a laid back downstairs bar area with live music(where we sat) or a second level enclosed(air conditioned) dining area. Basically, decide what kind of vibe you want and it’s there! After we sat down we were surprised at how small the menu was(minus a star). We settled on the churrasco, fish tacos, and a Caesar salad. The food was good, but the mixed drinks were eh(weak). That was definitely a major buzz kill(ba doom chi)! Unfortunately, I had to remove another star for that… like I said this place was all about atmosphere. We wanted a laid back bar vibe to sip on drinks, but if the drinks aren’t there neither is the vibe. So would I go back? I think so. It’s a place that makes you feel like you are on vacation(downstairs at least, not sure if the experience upstairs would be different)! Side note, just reviewed the menu that is posted on Unilocal and there seems to be more of a selection. Not sure if it’s because we came in at lunch time or because we were in the bar portion rather than the restaurant. Will definitely increase them by a star on my next visit if there is more to the menu !

Had a spectacular visit to Bayside Grille this afternoon. Views? Seafood nachos? Freshly prepared Mahi? Polite service? Pie?! Yeah, we had a great lunch next to a clear and clean view of the ocean. But guys. GUYS. That blackened Mahi is so utterly worth the visit. Our group also had the fried Mahi bucket, seafood enchiladas, and pan sauteed Mahi. The only one not great was the butter soaked, pan sauteed Mahi. But I’m biased. Butter is not tasty to me. Go for the blackened. Then we were like, dessert? Absolutely. Flan and key lime pie. What a grand way to top off a relaxing afternoon. The parking lot/restaurant is kind of tucked behind the building next to the main road, but if you continue on the paved road as soon as you turn in, it all leads to the lot. And that instagram-worthy pier… Yo. I’m coming back.

We stopped here on a recommendation from our hotel staff and a couple of people from our diving trip. The restaurant is on the second floor, the first floor houses an open air bar and live music. We were able to be seated right away, and we actually sat right above where they were playing music so we were able to enjoy that. On this particular evening it was just an acoustic guitar performance. We ordered drinks and looked over the menu, our server brought over these yummy biscuits and dipping sauce. Once we got our drinks we placed an order for the plantains. I love plantains, so I was really looking forward to these. However, they were not what I was hoping for. We received them pretty quickly, but they were barely warm. They were covered in sauce — a very sweet fruit sauce, it was too much. If the sauce would have been on the side or just barely drizzled on the plantains, it would have been much better. We placed our dinner orders, pulled pork stuffed chicken and steak chimichurri. The entrees were definitely large portions and they were served hot. The food was average, nothing special. The service was average.
