Decent grilled chicken spot. They have a very basic menu. If you just order the chicken, it comes with some watered down barbecue sauce and a pita bread. You can also add either a side of rice or salad. I felt that the larger pieces of chicken(thigh, breast) were too dry. However, the smaller drumstick and wing pieces are very juicy.

Love the chicken house! Been eating here since I was in high school. The chicken has a nice charbroiled flavor and the pita and salad are nice sides. What makes the chicken better is the spicy bbq sauce, get at least two cups of it. The price and quantity is great, you’ll be full for under $ 10.

This place is great. You get a meal for $ 6.99 includes beverage. The chicken is delicious! This place has been here over 20 years. This is always a treat when I’m in the area.

I’m a Chicken man. I like all types of Grill, Roasted, Fried, Steam, Pan Fried, Soup, What Ever!!! I gave an extra star because of this reason. Chicken House’s Grill chicken was a little burned. Well, thin chicken skins without much fat are damn tasty. And they burned it, bummer. The taste was ok, 3 out of 5 stars. The meat was a little dried though. The sauce they provide is just cheap BBQ sauce with water added to it. Sauce is very important for some people like me. For $ 8 dollars(half chicken with a pity bread and a veggie salad) sure isn’t cheap for me.

Right by the Court house, shortest line when comparing to the pizza place and McDonald’s. I ordered the half chicken and rice. Chicken was good, the skin was nice and crispy, and even a little charred which I like. Threw some hot sauce on it. The pita was fine, and the rice was plain. I would probably order the grilled corn if I go there again. Quick, cheap healthier(?) alternative to the other choices around the Court.

Decent chicken for the price, although I had better. The pita bread and rice was mediocre(rice had corn and other small vegetables in it that I can’t remember at the moment). It’s $ 6 for a quarter chicken with pita bread and rice or salad. It’s a nice break from pizza or McDonalds during jury duty. The place is small but has a few seats along the side counter.

I’ll have to correct the FTR(er) as I would not consider Chicken House Mediterranean food, its more of a Spanish(Columbian) chicken joint. With seating for ten being a full house, make take out your choice approach. When I walked in on the early side of lunch, it was glaringly obvious that the number of folks waiting could triple in moments. The walk by traffic is abundant and I do not doubt Chicken House serves up 500‑1000 chicken meals per day. I ordered the whole chicken meal, sides included two beautiful ¼ sized salads equipt with feta cheese, two ¼ spinach rice sides, two large pitas and three different sauces. As my short wait ticks down, I’m blown away by all the people hopping off the busses and exiting from the subway, there were people everywhere. Give Chicken House a try folks, amazing flavorful quarters of jucy grilled chicken, this delicious meal could serve a family of four average eaters but more appropriate for three and costs a mere $ 18.50.

I love this place. The only thing that’s disappointing is that they don’t deliver. I usually get a quarter chicken with rice and salad and pita bread and it fills me up for the entire day. The place is really small so I usually do take out. They raise the prices which I wasn’t too happy about but its still reasonable.

Good place to get a combo meal: ¼ chicken, rice, pita bread, salad and drink = 7.50. Grilled corn on the cob is good too. Some nights the chicken has a lemony taste but that’s hit or miss. Don’t be discouraged by the place’s looks.

i usually order a combo here, which consists of a quarter chicken, a salad, rice, and pita bread. The chicken here is pretty good, freshly cooked over charcoal. The rice is mostly a hit or miss. On occasion it will taste delicious, but most of the time it’s mediocre. I’m not a fan of the salad. The pita bread is good when not overcooked. Sometimes it can be burnt and hard from overcooking. Overall, I say it’s either a hit or miss with the side items, but the chicken is always good. The sauce is delicious too!

Chicken House NY: Queens: Kew Gardens 1pm Wednesday 27th August 2014 Three Stars Court was adjourned for Lunch so I had wandered to find some sustenance. I followed some police officers to the Chicken House. I ordered a Quarter Dark Chicken for $ 4.50 and a piece of Roasted Corn for $ 2. The chicken was juicy-ish. The Corn was cold but a had a nice smoky flavor. The Bread was kind of bland but with enough hot sauce. The Meal was quite satiating and affordable.

I wish this place was closer to Manhattan or I would venture out here more often. I only get to eat their yummy food when I“m on my way to the airport. CAN’T BELIEVETHEFOODISSOCHEAP! Cheapest dinner I’ve ever bought. Got grilled pita bread, a greek salad, and spinach rice for $ 2.50 whaaat! The food is so good too! I’m vegetarian but back when I used to eat chicken and i lived in Queens I remember that the chicken had this awesome charred grilled flavor. Pretty sure the pita bread isn’t 100% vegetarian since it’s cooked on the same grill but I’ll make a pass. They make the best pita bread I’ve ever eaten. I don’t know what they put in the Greek salad dressing but it’s delish. And the Spinach rice has a really nice flavor I can’t place. Pretty much all their food, veggie, or non-veggie is great. Simple but yummy. This place is so good my mom has requested I take the train 40min out to Queens just to get she and my brother a chicken dinner. For under $ 10 you can feed 3 people. Can’t beat that price! I love that the food tastes so good but it’s not unhealthy. The portions are equivalent to what should be a normal serving size so I don’t feel guilty after eating a meal here. Only reason they’re not getting 5 stars is because their restaurant could be cleaner. Pretty sure I saw dirt on the plastic utensils I picked up…

Don’t be fooled by the low reviews the chicken here tastes great and is affordable. It’s not over flavored and tastes what chicken on a grill should taste like. The rice and spinach pie are also excellent.

Horrible place. The chicken has no depth of flavor. Every piece of chicken I had was bland and dry. If any of yu guys venture out to bayside in. Queens go to CHICKENLOVERS. Their chicken has tons more flavor and just falls off the bone. And they have their own green sauce that totally beats chicken house’s BBQ water. Don’t go here. Save your money. Not worth it. The lunch special isn’t worth it. The salad is prepackaged and is confused of its identity. I couldn’t tell if it was supposed to be Greek or some regular table salad.

I’ve been coming here for years. For $ 6 you get a quarter chicken, rice, salad, & a huge pita. The chicken is soooo delicious! It’s made fresh on the rotisserie daily. You can’t go wrong w this place. FYI– not a good area for parking. During my jury duty, I plan to come here a few times! Cash only.

I pass this place everyday to and from the subway. The service was friendly and fast. But my rice was bland and my salad was warm. My chicken was BURNTTO A CRISP!!! For a place called«The Chicken House», they should have really great chicken, right!!? Wrong! I will keep going to the«Columbian Restaurant» chicken place around the corner from this place. STAYAWAYFROMTHECHICKENHOUSE! Unless you like your chicken incinerated!!!

Literally in the corner of my house — love the proximity! Know of people that travel literally from near and far to eat/order from here. It is that amazing! Chicken is always fresh, macaroni salad is excellent, plantains are also a great addition to any meal. — don’t forget the corn! You will love your meal, all reviews corroborate this!

Chicken House has been in Forest Hills for AGES. My parents ordered from here before I was born. And yes, my mom still rants and raves about the spinach rice. So now. My boyfriend and I are kind of obsessed with this place. And by kind of, I mean very. Its perfect for that I-don’t-feel-like-cooking night. But do not simply order chicken. Order half a chicken so you can sample the corn on the cob, salad, and veggie(or spinach) rice. And hot sauce. DO. NOT. FORGET. THE. HOT. SAUCE.
