Stayed August 7, 2015. We stayed at the Sunday House for just one evening to pick up our daughter from camp. This was a great value. The room was spacious and clean. The pool area is great. Pool was nice and big for a budget/value hotel and the courtyard was shaded and nice to just relax in. Breakfast at the Italian restaurant next door was pretty good(it was included with the room so can’t really complain ;)). Ask for a room facing the courtyard.

We had to stay here because every place in Fredericksburg within our price range seemed to be booked or it seemed subpar. Maybe we should’ve booked a subpar place in Fredericksburg. We arrived after around 1AM after a long drive hoping to find a comfy room. We walk into a musty smelling room, but thank goodness the air conditioning helped. However, my friends began feeling allergy symptoms, and we realized on our last day there was a bunch of dirt and mud in the AC. I take allergy pills every night so I didn’t notice it as quickly as they did. The room was clean and decent, but for the price and reviews on , I guess my expectations were a little higher. Yes, you do get a free breakfast at the adjoining restaurant that isn’t continental, but you’re limited to 3 – 4 choices, and drinks and gratuity are not included. The first breakfast was fine, nothing fancy, but we did skip their breakfast the next day. I should’ve come to Unilocal before booking.

The room reeked of cigaret smell and when I told the front desk all she said was«well» ! And nothing else. Stay away from room 120 even though the door sign says non smoking.

We have been traveling across the USA for a week and found this motel to be a breath of fresh air. Large and very clean rooms. Love the German décor. The Italian restaurant next door is good with great staff. We decided to stay a few extra days and found all the staff from housekeeping to the front desk to be great. Best of all was Todd who helped us in many ways above and beyond what was expected. I highly recommend the Best Western Sunday house and look forward to our next visit.

I’m giving this motel four stars because it’s inexpensive, and our room was nice and spacious for the price. The pool area and courtyard were attractive, too. The staff is friendly. Breakfast is served next door and is okay.

Stayed here in May. The first room, yes, first room, had bed bugs! I slept in a bed that was infested with bugs and didn’t realize it until the next morning. I called the front desk and they moved us to another room. Great… except for the fact they didn’t offer to reimburse us for anything or dry clean my clothes, etc. I’m sure we just ended up taking them to the next room with us as the bugs likely climbed in our luggage. The only good thing I can say is that the pool was cute.

Clean and comfortable with a great staff. It’s not brand new, but has character, charm and is a great value.

I arrived at a quiet time for the hotel. Front desk person Kelly was finishing up with one customer in the lobby and there were two phone calls but there were very few cars around. Kelly was incredibly friendly and spent considerable time sharing ideas for things to do and where to eat which was great. Her recommendation of the Cowboy Steak house led to the most enjoyable meal of my entire 5 day TX/LA trip. I stayed in the one room at the property with a private deck on the 2nd floor. It overlooks the courtyard and pool. The courtyard has a wonderful collection of shade trees and feels very protected and welcoming. The landscaping was not manicured looking but homey and inviting. The room itself was spacious but dated. There was a definite musty/mildewy smell each time I came in but it was not strong and didn’t activate my allergies. The climate control was a typical motel style wall unit with the controls built in. The thermostat was essentially an on off operation. Though I could get the heat to click off if I turned it far enough towards cool, it would then stay on a fan only mode, seemingly forever. Carefully nudging it oh so slowly up until the click of the heat coming on resulted in a hot room with no signs of turning off. Breakfast is served next door at a restaurant owned by the same local people who own the hotel. Though the hotel provided breakfast is limited to just 3 choices, they cover the basics well and the #1 breakfast included potatoes, bacon or sausage and toast along with 2 eggs cooked to order. It was perfectly satisfying, just like my overall experience at the Sunday House Inn.
