Great chicken and sides. Friendly staff. Food is hot and consistent, and you get a lot for your money. Very Southern and a loyal following, especially at breakfast. We typically eat supper here or stop by on a Saturday for a late lunch. I think most of their business is take-out, either by drive-thru or simply getting it to-go at the counter. When we have had breakfast here, the place is usually busy on the inside. Food is excellent at breakfast as well. I think they would pull in more sit-down business if the owner(s) would spring for a solid update on the building. Very dated on the inside, feels like it is 1993 in there. They do keep it clean but you can only do so much with a place that old. It used to be a Hardee’s way back in the day. The last time we were there, a girl was mopping the dining area. As soon as it dried I honestly couldn’t tell it had even been mopped b/c the floor is so old and dark. At the end of the day, however, the food is so good and prices so low that I am going to keep coming back.

It’s been several years since I’ve been to this location, so I was in town today, and I thought I would check it out again. They have four $ 5 specials everyday. All come with 1 side, a biscuit and a drink. You can get a large chicken breast, chicken & dumplings, 3 piece chicken or country fried steak. My wife got the chicken breast, and I got the steak. The chicken was moist, and the crust was very good. The steak was covered in white gravy, and I got potatoes as my side. I added some baked beans to my plate, and adding a side is only 70 cents… Wife got slaw as her side, and it was good also. For dessert, I got a cinnamon roll($ 2.12 total) and it was pretty good, and enough for 2 people. Manager came over to us, and asked if everything was okay with our meal, and invited us to come back again.
