Somerset Apartments

«A fish rots from the head down.» That’s a chinese saying, and totally true of Somerset. The level of incompetence is astounding! They replaced the blinds in the apartments last winter. «Yay?» right?
The shades they put in are too wide and too long for the windows. I showed the manager how bad the change was, using my bedroom window where I couldn’t draw my curtains and get the privacy I need for changing clothes, etc. She sent a workman over. He chopped about a foot off the bottom of the shades. CHOPPED. Uneven, jagged edges! [insert your favorite cuss words, pls!]
And they raised our rent last year by $ 150 per month! If we didn’t agree to that, we could live here month to month for only $ 225 more per month.
I’m looking to move now again, but I’m broke because of the rent raise/​rape.
Gawd help you if you live here.

If you are thinking about renting here… turn and RUN AWAY NOW! DO NOT rent here. This is BY FAR the WORST apartment complex I have ever lived in. When I first moved into the apartment I placed 22 work orders because things were not move in ready. It took 60 days to complete them. Our neighbors are noisy and rude. I am not talking normal apartment noise. I am talking fighting on the front porch, knocking each other into our door, pulling the fire alarm at 3 am, noisy. Nothing has been done about it to this date.
Now lets talk about security, or lack thereof. I was told just this morning that the apartments do not have any concern for our safety. This came from the manager of the apartment complex herself. In the year that we have been at this property our cars have been vandalized three separate times. This includes stealing things that have been bolted down, windows being broken and a stereo removed, and most recently our vehicle was put on blocks and all four rims and tires were stolen. Management said it is our problem, not theirs, but boasts about having great security at this place.
Save yourself the head and heartache. You work too hard for the things you have to come here and have everything taken from you.

If I could give this shit hole a zero I would. Death and poverty everywhere… ghetto and dirty! Save yourself and stay far away!!!
