:( I have been using the Safeway Pharmacy for at least the last 5 years. It’s convenient to my house. HOWEVER — don’t go here if you are in an emergency. I had a checkup appointment with my DR(following surgery I had three days prior) at 4pm and during the appointment the nurse called the pharmacy to extend my antibiotic. She told me when I was leaving at 445 that it would be ready to be picked up in 20 minutes — that was fine since I would hit traffic and probably be more than an hour getting there. I left my appointment and went to pick up my husband. Due to traffic I didn’t get to Safeway until almost 6pm. I went in to pick up my prescription figuring that it should be done since I was well past 20 minutes and they didn’t have any record of it. I was stressed since I had a flight to catch and had to be to the airport in an hour. She called the Dr.‘s office to find that it closed at 5pm. Now I am really getting worried because I am flying out of town for a week and need to take the antibiotics now. Finally the girl at the opposite end of the pharmacy where you drop off your prescriptions speaks up and says that she has my information in front of her. So then the girl helping me tells me it will be 10 – 20 minutes. I look at the clock — look at her and tell her can it be sooner I have a flight to catch. She then very snottily tells me they will work as fast as they can but basically telling me no. Sure enough — it almost took 20 minutes to fill my prescription of 10 pills. Then when I am ringing out the pharmacist proceeds to ask me if I have taken the meds before and if the Dr. proscribed them to me — WHOELSEWOULD? I couldn’t believe how rude they were and also to make me wait 20 minutes for such a little prescription. I also wasn’t being rude at all but if you were there you could tell that I was definitely stressing out. When I find one of those transfer deals I definitely will be transferring my prescriptions to somewhere better.
