Favorite teriyaki place. Love the gyoza. Always go there for lunch or dinner. The staff are very friendly. The chicken teriyaki is my favorite dish.

I had the Mongolian beef and it was amazing. The staff was friendly and this will definitely be my «go to» teriyaki spot.

Amazing food and perfect service! We drive out of our way to get our teriyaki here at times but it’s well worth it always. The owners are so sweet and respectful and they play music I like to hear! We wouldn’t go anywhere else for our teriyaki :)

I’ve frequented this place quite a few times and finally decided to write a review. It’s my quick go-to place for lunch whenever I’m craving for quick teriyaki/Japanese. It’s a small place and there are some tables if you want to dine in. The couple who own the place are very friendly and have always provided me with excellent service. Their food is delicious and very consistent. You know what you’ll get whenever you come here. They also have a few Chinese food menu items, which I have never tried. I usually order the pork, beef short ribs, chicken teriyaki, chicken katsu, or pot stickers. The prices are reasonable with generous servings. I would give this place a try if you’re on the area.

This my 3rd time back. Service was incredible and with smile. Food was just Ok very salty according to my kids that they had chicken bowl. I had chicken teriyaki and my chicken was very very dry. Very taste less but it was covered with teriyaki sauce. The owner brought for kids gyoza and made em happier. That’s why I gave em 4 star maybe next time it would be BETTER

Ive been wanting to try this place for the Teriyaki for a while. They give you plenty of rice and a nice fresh salad. Not a fan of the salad and but hey it comes with it so I eat it. They put sauce on the rice and give you two cups on the side. I went with the special that included an egg roll. It was huge. For the money its definitely worth it. A Great deal.

Eaten here probably 8 times. The food has consistently been great, but the service is spectacular. The owner is always so attentive. I went in once when they were very busy & he came out to apologize several times for the delay. It wasn’t necessary, I understood they got slammed, but appreciated the sentiment. He always sends out gyoza for me, no charge, while I’m waiting on take out.

Really great teriyaki place! The food is always quick and fresh. The husband and wife are always so sweet and sometimes while I’m waiting, they will bring out a few gyozas for me to enjoy. Never had s bad experience! 4 stars because i don’t like that they charge extra for additional sauce snd the bubble tea tastes too sweet(too much of the powder flavor stuff)

This is a place that my friends and I have been coming to for years. It always exceeds our expectations, especially the chicken teriyaki which is phenomenal. Crispy, blackened, sautéed chicken with tender, juicy, moist meat inside. The owner is very nice, every time his regulars come in he provides them with free Gyoza or Miso soup. Very nice, family owned business. Go there for the best teriyaki in Kent.

I live near here so it has been my go to spot for teriyaki for a good amount of years. The chicken teriyaki is great(which is pretty much the only thing I get) and the restaurant is clean. Only downfall is that their hot & sour soup isn’t what it’s supposed to be like at all. First and last time getting that. The main reason why I love Happy at the Bay is because of the owners. They are always so sweet and welcoming. If I’m getting my food to-go they will give me a free plate of gyoza while I’m waiting! I felt so bad for them once because a group of stupid kids stole their huge tip jar and ran away with it.(Seriously???) But they handled it well and actually told us that it’s happened before. All in all, I will be a long time customer of theirs. Convenient, friendly, and fast.

I didn’t get to the food! I walked in to find a small man behind the counter that looked like he had just climbed out from under a car!(Greasy stained and soiled shirt and pants). I peeked into the kitchen behind him and it was dirtier than my mechanic’s shop. I walked out and am happy I did. My wife says I’ll eat any food,(week old leftovers etc.), but this was discusting.

This is our go to teriyaki place. As I waited for my order to go, they brought me some gyozas. Mmmmm!!! We had orange chicken, sweet and sour chicken and teriyaki chicken. As usual, all was very tasty! With my punch card, I received one of my meals free. I’m a happy camper!

MOSTHORRIBLECUSTOMERSERVICEEVER! I had ordered togo, got home and realized there were mushrooms in the yakisoba. I called to see if I could get another, thought they said ok, showed up and got yelled at for making an error. I tried to buy another chicken yakisoba without mushrooms and they refused, making me feel foolish. They would not sell me another one, and I walked out.

The food was very tasty. I had the Teriyaki Chicken and General Tso Chicken. The lunch special came with rice and potstickers. There was also a soft drink(with NO refills). I also had the California Roll which was well put together and lots of taste. They are kind of misleading due to the pictures on the outside of restaurant are of –double– orders, so it looks like the portions are huge Dont get me wrong the portions are not bad but just misleading. The service was a little slow too. I got my special and didnt get the roll for another 10minutes, but I was sharing so no biggie. I will most likely return..

This is my family’s favorite teriyaki spot! The owners are so wonderful and the food is fabulous! Sometimes they give out free gyoza if you are waiting for your take out order. I would definitely recommend this spot of you looking for an easy dinner or lunch. Their family special feeds a crowd cheap!

Our favorite teriyaki place on earth — and we’ve been around. Crisp green salad, brown rice by request, and operated by the sweetest little Korean couple ever. My wife goes nuts for the Vegas roll. I’m all about the bento box. Clean surroundings, well prepared food, generous servings.
