I found Sal’s business online while researching bicycle rental for my employer and her family, they wanted to rent four bikes for their Thanksgiving vacation in Upstate New York.
This task was assigned to me on the first day of my new job, I though it would be easy to do, but after calling all of the bike rental places listed on Unilocal,I found out that the majority actually sell off most of their bikes in September and October then close shop until March. We live in California, were bike rental is available basically every day of the year – I had no idea how things like this worked in more seasonal destinations.
Enter Sal! I reached Sal at a desperate point in my search, when I thought that my given task was next to impossible. I left a message on his voicemail and crossed my fingers. Sal promptly called back and offered to not only drive the bikes 50 miles to and from my boss’s brother’s house from Kent but to rent them for half what a competitor quoted for only two bikes (which he couldn’t even confirm, because the bikes were for sale in his store).
When my boss and her family arrived in NY they were thrilled to have the bikes and helmets provided by Sal. My boss said he was friendly and the bikes he rented them were of good quality, he also stuck to his (CHEAP) quote.

Sal is so nice and accommodating. I had two large groups in two separate occasions and we had a perfect time. Don’t miss the dam, the covered bridge, the river. Sal’s bikes are great and service cannot be any better. It’s also a great small town to walk around in. I hugely recommend!!!
