Still the best kept«secret» in Kent, and the only reason we come — Great employees and chocolate, we just tried the Kent Mocha, and cant wait to come back for another! We were very sad to hear that the landlord will not renew their lease, but the store has a place they are relocating to up the road… the old Bank of America building. Will admit it, the move will not have the same unique store look and feeling, but we will absolutely continue to be customers!

The coffee is cheap and really tasty — gets 4 stars because the chocolate and the stuff they sell there is very expensive for what it is(delicious, but expensive), and the seating leaves a lot to be desired. But in terms of quality, it’s great!

Great selection of coffee. Pumpkin latte is amazing. There are lots of chocolates to satisfy your cravings. The staff is super nice & fast in serving the customers. Don’t be discouraged by a long line as the wait is short. I was very impressed on how they run their business.

Really excellent espresso, and delicious muffins. Haven’t tried the chocolates, but there’s quite an assortment. And the prices are cheap and the staff are friendly! Wish I had found this place sooner, because if I lived here, it would be my favorite coffee shop.

Staff need better training. I ordered a large and received a small but it was too crowded to do anything about it.

An enormous selection of chocolates and sweets, as well as some very intriguing coffee choices. I ordered«Mud» which was a drip coffee made from espresso beans with a shot of espresso. Strong and smooth, the coffee paired very well with a Sea Salt caramel candy and a piece of almond chocolate bark. And to boot the entire order was less expensive than a trip to Starbucks. And I should also mention the staff is very friendly and helpful. I will certainly return on my next visit to this charming town.

You walk in and BAM, a huge case of everything that’s wonderful. I got an assortment of chocolates, all of which were loved. I got the dirty chai at the recommendation of the girl working there and it was great. It’s a really cute little place.

Good place to stop for a sugar buzz after a hike in the hills. Coffee and espresso drinks are decent. Wasn’t super impressed. Think they are more of a chocolatier. The treats are where it’s at here. Be prepared for a line on weekends. And kent pricing is certainly in effect.

Open at 6something on a Sunday morning! Life is good. Being from the Lancaster/Hershey I will say this place is good. The location on the square is great, the service is great and the coffee is great. I really look forward to returning here very soon!!! Great coffee!!!

Over the weekend I was up in Kent and visited Kent Coffee & Chocolate. I ordered chocolate covered oreos for my kids and a sea salt caramel for me. They were all DELISH!

Chocolate and chocolate and chocolate and chocolate and GODYESCHOCOLATE. This place is a literal chocolate heaven nestled unassumingly into the hills of Northwestern Connecticut amidst a quintessential New England backdrop. A walk inside of the small storefront, and you’ll see that there is almost more chocolate than glass, electrical cords, sheetrock, and wood. The display cases of approximately three dozen different kinds of truffles make you drool, then you see the barks, bars, caramels, and alligator-shaped milk chocolates… and you have to step back, close your eyes, take a few deep breaths, and compose yourself. Along the rear wall are coffees, teas, gift bags, and even raw materials, as Kent Coffee & Chocolate boasts the awesomeness of such things as cacao(…it’s not just a «Portlandia» thing…), agave nectar, coconut oil, and raw food bars.(A little bit of sweetness, followed up with a little bit of healthiness…) Though I’m not a coffee drinker, I almost went for their chai, but in the days before Christmas, they boasted a peppermint hot cocoa. The cocoa itself was fine enough, but it was the crushed candy cane on top of the whipped cream on top of the cocoa(…phew…) that did it for me. It literally crystalized into a red sugary layer, not unlike that decadent sugar layer on top of a fine crème brûlée… I can’t type anymore. Goodness. My craving it too intense now! Some of my favorites from now and yesteryears include their masala chai truffles, their cranberry bark, their milk chocolate caramels, their milk chocolate ANYTHING(…actually…), their peppermint bark, and their Smart Bark — a dark chocolate bark with sprouted wheat flakes, flaxseed, granola, pecans and dates. It’s possible to indulge yet not feel bad when coming here. Not an easy task to accomplish, but they pull it off! Over the past few years, coming here to visit with ol’ childhood friends over chocolate and hot seasonal drinks has been a pre-Christmas tradition. I’m keen to that not stopping anytime soon.

Nice selection of coffees, teas, and such. They have what I call a «gravity counter» on your right as you enter, i.e., a large case of chocolates, truffles, pastries, confections, etc. On your left and in the back, they have a nice assortment of fairly local coffees and teas, predominantly Harney & Sons tea out of Millerton, Baronet Coffee out of Hartford, and Winchell Mountain coffee out of Pine Plains. One thing they need to do is be better about putting price tags on various items, particularly the coffees. Very few of the bags of coffee had price tags. Quite frankly, you are possibly losing money by not doing so. When I purchased my bag of coffee, the cashier realized she rang the wrong price(the price for a regular coffee as opposed to a flavored coffee) about 10 seconds later, but she decided to still give me the coffee at the price she entered. The price I wound up paying, $ 10.95 for a 1 lb. bag of Baronet flavored beans was IMO reasonable, but I have no idea how much more expensive it might have actually been, nor do I know if that price difference would have made a difference in what I bought. I did like the fact that they asked if I was also interested in purchasing a cup of the same type of coffee I bought — good business strategy on their part — and I liked the variety of beverages listed on the wall behind the counter. The tables outside make this a very nice place to sit and lounge with a beverage in nice weather.

Nice quiet coffee shop in Kent with friendly service. I ordered the French Roast drip coffee, and was disappointed by its lack of flavor and despite the sign out front advertising pastries, the selection was limited to some shrink wrapped coffee cakes and cinnamon rolls. I did not sample any of the candy, but it all looked very good.

Good coffee. They have chocolate Buddha’s, and other chocolate shapes and sizes, which they say they make on the premises. Complete a karaōke song get half off on your next cup of coffee. Nice outdoor people gawking area, on the Kent strip.

I went to visit a friend this weekend and stumbled upon this place. First, the chocolate looked to-die-for and I really wanted to get something but just got an iced caramel coffee which was GREAT. The prices were also very decent. Can’t wait to go back!
