If you want a simple and quick meal head here. They seem to be a little over priced but good stuff nonetheless. Very casual experience.

It’s a solid little breakfast/lunch spot with food that tastes a lot like you made it at home. It’s a little pricey for the quality. It kind of has a diner like feel to the whole place. For being priced so similarly to other places in the area, the quality was just okay in comparison. It’s not exactly a «you have to try this place» kind of experience, but I can’t say that I won’t be back.

The service was good and food was just OK. I got a breakfast sandwich and potatoes. Potatoes were good but simple and the sandwich was just OK. The meat option for breakfast sandwiches was limited and they had turkey sausage instead of regular sausage, not sure why… I didn’t have a bad experience but it did not leave an impression

I ordered the eggs Benedict and my husband got an omelette. OVERPRICED. My eggs Benedict left me still hungry, and his omelette was probably the size of my hand(and I’m tiny). Service was really good, but then again they weren’t busy at all. This place was in an article a while back for one of the best eateries in Chester county. Somebody must have slipped them an undercooked piece of ham to get that review in there. We won’t be going back.

Had the Eggs Florentine … it was served with a single wheat bread slice. Normally have eggs and spinach on slices of French bread. Poach was ok and Bacon was well crisped. Seems like place is good for traditional breakfast. Nothing outstanding. No wifi.

Adorable country diner atmosphere outside of the city located close to Longwood Gardens and the wythe museum and the Brandwyne battlefield. Town Main Street is in the historic district with lots of quaint shops and bistros. Sit in the picture window and watch people stroll by. Casual attire. Good is reasonably priced and more then enough to eat. I had the Kennett Sq. Poached eggs with blue cheese sauce delicious, hubby had ham & cheese Omlet both served with multi grain bread thick and hearty. Coffee was fresh and good. Great breakfast –lunch stop –pleasant surprise on the 2nd day of spring –

After trying for a table at our«Go To,» Hanks in Chaddsford and seeing a line out the door we used our trusty Unilocal app to find a high rated breakfast nearby. Well unfortunately it didn’t work in our favor this time! I ordered wheat toast, eggs, and sausage which looked like frozen patties which was nothing to write home about and my breakfast partner ordered french toast(hold the powdered sugar) which came out loaded with powdered sugar! Overall the down home atmosphere was nice albeit a bit quirky, and the service was fine but a simple order botched leaves me no reason to return!

The first place I stopped in, in my first visit to Kennett Square, ever. Super friendly, cozy atmosphere. I had a salad my first visit since I was taking it easy. Generous portion for a reasonable price. Another visit, I had some pancakes that were okay. I wanted to try the french toast but opted for pancakes instead, so that may be the reason for my discontent since I didn’t get to «satisfy the craving» so to say. Anyway, the reason for my 2 star review is the muffin. I don’t know if it was a fluke or if it’s usually like that but the muffin was so dry, it actually felt like I had cardboard in my mouth. Dry and flavorless. How disappointing. What a waste of money and calories.

Very cozy atmosphere. Very reasonably priced. VERY fast and friendly service. Disappointing to have canned mushrooms in my omelette being that we are in the middle of mushroom country.

Stopped by here for breakfast this Sunday, overall seemed like a nice place, but didn’t blow me out of the water and the food had a few flaws. My fiancé ordered the the Kennet Eggs(poached eggs over an gnglish muffin, mushrooms, and smoked gouda cheese), and I got the huevos rancheros, opting for the rosemary polenta rather than homefries. We also split a child-sized portion of their pancakes because we love to try them at any new breakfast spot. First, the good. The pancakes were great, golden brown with a bit of spice to them. My fiancé’s meal was also tasty, with the eggs being well poached, and the overall dish being flavorful. The roasted potatoes that came with her meal were well seasoned, but could have been cooked a *bit* longer for my taste. My meal was a bit disappointing, however. The ranchero sauce on the eggs, while spicy, could have been a bit more flavorful. It was also watery to the point of soaking the rest of the stuff on the plate, which made the whole meal mushy. Likewise, the polenta(served in a grilled wedge) was just OK, lacking in the advertised rosemary flavor. The tomato-basil tortilla was served on the side and seemed to have been steamed or otherwise warmed up. Normally when I’ve had good huevos rancheros in the past, the tortilla is grilled or pan-fried to crisp it up so it stands up well with the sauce and yolk from the eggs. The steamed tortilla just sort of made an already mushy meal that much softer. Overall though, it did not seem like a bad place, and the price was right($ 23 for two generous meals and coffee). Definitely room for improvement though. If we’re back in the area we may try it again, but not before scoping out other options in town.

Pretty good food. The name«Sunrise», has the cute theme Roosters throughout but, the maps inside on the wall dosen’t make sense.

Make you pay extra for syrup… ok dishes but nothing special. Small portions, not that friendly. They have such an ideal location in Kennett Square and a very cute set-up, but they need to make the quality of food and service match the setup.

Fun, homey little café: we had a leisurely breakfast here as tourists between Christmas and New Year’s. They have a great selection of teas, but be aware that a «pot» is about the size of one mug, so you’re really not getting enough to share! I ordered a mug of masala chai, which came unsweetened but pleasantly spicy(honey and sugar were on the table, so I adjusted it myself.) I ordered the Longwood Eggs, a halved English muffin topped with chopped steamed spinach, poached eggs and hollandaise. The spinach was pleasantly crisp-tender and the eggs perfectly poached, nice and runny; hollandaise was creamy, not greasy, and delicately scented with lemon. They came with uneventful fried potatoes or rosemary polenta, which I wanted to try and really should have! My husband got buckwheat pancakes, which were dense and nutty but nice and moist, served with real butter and real syrup. He also ordered a side of pan-fried ham, which was chewy in the center(not spongy) and crispy around the edges. Our server was pleasant, attentive and hospitable. The music was a little weird and a little too loud, but the interior was nice and cozy, with a rooster theme and several other tables enjoying breakfast along with us.

****** HORRIBLESERVICE ****** Took almost an hour to get our food and the staff were completely unapologetic, including the manager. Came here on a busy Sunday morning and I get it, they were busy. However, please make an effort to let patrons know u are way behind instead of making excuses. Plus, the table of four that were seated after my table got served 15 minutes before we did?!? Food was okay… lacking flavor. Ordered the veggie omelette w/home fries & rye toast. I’ve had much better, that’s for sure. everything was really bland. Who knows, maybe they had a bad day but I’d likely try another place next time I’m in the area.

Both sinclairs are still great. I love the pancakes and in Kennett I also buy their fantastic hot source

A bunch of years ago, the Sinclairs in Newark stopped serving their cranberry chutney on their turkey sammich, and I was heartbroken. What happened to my beautiful cranberry chutney? Turns out the owners of Sinclair’s sold the Newark shop to focus on the Sinclair’s in Kennett Square. So if you want that cranberry chutney you’ve been missing(along with the peach habanero salsa– WOOT!), come to Kennett, my dearie! I love both Sinclairseseseses just fine. I think the lunch/sammich selection is better in Kennett Square(again, it’s the chutneys man… can you tell I’m all about the dang chutney? CHUTNEY!), and I think the eggs benedict are better in Newark. The prices are slightly lower in Kennett Square, but yer also paying tax. Like both locations, the service is wonderful, the atmosphere is cozy, and the food is made with care and love. You can’t go wrong!

We found this place one Sunday morning when everything else around was closed. Luckily, we got in before THEY closed at 2:00pm! I had the specials of the day: Butter Cream Cupcake Coffee, and Almond Whole Wheat Pancakes. Both were SPECTACULAR! My friends got various omelets and found them to be delicious as well. I highly recommend this place for brunch!

Sunrise Café has a good food at reasonable prices. They server both breakfast and lunch, but my wife and I only go for breakfast. Sinclair’s is also a tea room, so they have a vast variety of tasty teas. My favorite breakfast is the build your own omelet(mushrooms/spinach/onions) with side of hash. My wife loves the English muffin, egg and cheese sandwich and the breakfast parfait(yogurt and granola). You can buy loose leaf tea to go. Service mostly a hit and sometimes a miss. We’ve had pretty good service most of the time, depending on the waitress. Some are chatty and attentive, some are withdrawn and short Nice place to eat and they have seats outside when it’s nice. Make sure you let the waitress know your sitting outside.
