We often enjoy Sunday brunch here. It’s nice to sit out front and people watch while eating freshly made chocolate chip pancakes, bacon, and sipping on hot coffee. The bar is nice, but the interior could use a little freshening. Has a ½ bar, ½ diner feel to it. Interesting for an interesting town.

Good food but a tad pricey for what you get.

Late lunch on a rainy Sunday. Entered restaurant– no hostess, wait staff, bartender. I had a pretty good turkey sandwich. Ok pub but not the martini bar it looked like on the historic Kenneth square site pic.

Overall Newton’s is probably an average dining establishment. I’ve tried many of the items on the menu — ordering the same dish 2 – 3 times can bring inconsistent results. Beer selection is okay — would like to see more variety injected into the selection. I will say they cannot pour a Black and Tan to save themselves. Service is usually pretty good although can be slow at times.

I’ve been here a few times now and this is a good place to stop in and have a beer in the afternoon /evening. You can sit by the window and do some people watching or have dinner with the family or a date. The bar gets pretty lively around 5:30pm. They also have a very large dining room separated from the bar area. Drinks can get a little expensive so if you’re on a budget make sure you know the prices of those mixed drinks, and even the pints of beer like Sam Adams before you go on a bender. You might find a $ 90 tab in your hands when you’re finished.

The service is excellent, and each server is very friendly and personal, without exception. We eat there once a week. There is a new menu, which is an improvement, and the specials are very often that. Try some of the home made soups. The rest of the food is often special, but not always, but it is always at least tasty and relatively inexpensive. The atmosphere is down to earth and very friendly. Live music every Friday night adds to the fun.

Price for each menu items was about double what it should have been. Seems like we were paying Center City Philadelphia prices for basic small town entrees.

The Good: Large dining area and decent sized bar, full menu The Bad: Apps are a little overpriced with all but one starting at $ 9, if you stray from the domestic beer watch your wallet. I’ve been to Newton’s a handful of times for dinner and happy hour. To start I always get the Spinach & Artichoke Dip which is awesomely rich and creamy. The only complaint is that they don’t give you enough Focaccia Crustini to eat all the dip so the last few bites you have to fork down, but you’ll make the sacrifice as you won’t want to waste any of this. The Pulled Pork BBQ is fairly tasty with a decent sized sandwich that’s maybe a little skimpy on the steak fries. The Baked Chicken Parmesan has a good moist texture with a average portion and an average taste. The North Atlantic Salmon with Aloette Cream Sauce had a pleasing flavor and the whipped potatoes were very good. Off the children’s menu the Macaroni and Cheese gives you a big bowl for $ 5 that’s very creamy and probably the tastiest entrée I’ve had at Newton’s. Newton’s is little pricey for what you get, but all and all a pleasant experience every time.
