So… early one Saturday morning, I decide on a humbug that I want to get my hair done. Now I can hook up a mean style myself, relaxed, natural.whatever. But hey I work hard and from time to time a girl likes to treat herself. I am natural and besides a blowout I had a couple of years ago, my hair has been curly. I call and make an appointment for that same day… now I thought to myself… Saturday and you have an opening??? Well maybe it was my lucky day… yeah… lucky. So not only do I make myself an appointment, but one for my daughter who is also natural, but she wanted a blowout. We get there, the shopped is packed, I am thinking OK. Cool atmosphere, no qualms there. We sign in and wait about 10 minutes if that. I am up first, I explain with pictures that I wanted a flat twist and curl. She was new and unfamiliar with the shop but hey we all have to start somewhere, right? She tried her best but a natural hairstylist she was not. Being that the shop boasts they care for ALL types of hair, I would think they would send you to the stylist that they are sure can manage your type of hair. My hair was a hot explicit mess! My daughters hair was just okay, but my hair was wickity-wack!!! With a capital wickity. I could tell the owner knew it too. He lowered the price for us, I am assuming because I looked like the devil had been playing marbles in my head or the fact we were there for like 5+ hours. Bless her heart, she tried but no Ma’am…No Ma’am. I went home immediately and did a wash n go. I did get my ends dusted so it wasn’t a total waste… but yeah um… uh. unh…and I seen the owner snap back on a couple people who left unpleasant reviews… please don’t Sir… this is a honest opinion of my experience at the salon… don’t make me post the pictures…

My daughter and I have visited this salon on several occasions. Our first visit was with a stylist that made my daughter cry. She was not patient, rude and she was not very nice. We recently returned and my daughter and I went in for full weaves. The hairdresser’s name was Cassandra. She was kind and patient she took her time and explained everything. I also noticed she kept to herself and didn’t seem to interact with the other stylists. She was very positive and jovial. My daughter and I plan to return soon. Overall we enjoyed the experience.

One of the worst experiences EVER!!! I asked the receptionist(owner) if anyone SPECIALIZED in natural hair and I needed my hair flat ironed only. He says yes they all do. I said really? He nodded his head. This should have been the one and only red flag for me to high tail it out of the place. He sits me with a guy that was rude from the jump. BUT its the holiday and I was extremely short on time and had to get it done. I ask him did he specialize in natural hair. He rolls his neck and said I dont specialize in anything. I dont put myself in a box. Spins me around and immediately starts ripping a brush through my hair. I said ok, as long as you don’t have piles of hair on the floor. He says as long as you dont have hair falling out already. What??? SECOND red flag to run. But no, me being stubborn and in a hurry, I stayed for more abuse. Stupid right? He continues his process of ripping the brush through my hair and actually burned me with the blow dryer and didnt say anything until I said you burned the sh** out of my scalp. He says my bad and continues. Then says when was your last trim? I said last week. He says well they did a bad job.(Look whos talking!) I said no I asked them to trim… he cuts me off and says Regardless they did a bad job. I snarled at him Whatever! He finished blow drying my hair and had me move so he could finish someone else… Im actually sitting here now writing this while I wait… So, I ended up leaving. The owner says nothing but still required me to pay the 25.00 fee for a service that was not completed. Thats fine, im not a bad person but im reporting them!!! Customers are why you have an establishment. If you can’t provide top notch customer service you have nothing. I wish you luck if you still decide to visit this ridiculous place.

what you don’t see is that there are huge knots on both sides of my temple where she curved the braid around and the tracks were tacked instead of being sewn completely across. therefore, i had to return one week later to have it redone only to receive a malaysian weave that was even worse! it began to loosen in less than a week and was also not properly secured across taking my hair out during the removal process(see pic below). the clamps she used were apparently the wrong size and were used incorrectly!!! if that wasn’t bad enough, she had a terrible attitude, became defensive and refused to correct the issues. i had to go to the owner of the shop, upscale salon on wade green rd. in kennesaw, in order to get a refund which was only for one of the two bad weave jobs i paid for! she’s new in town(from alabama) and says she wants her customers to be happy but, how can that ever happen under these type circumstances!!! please don’t waste your time or money going to this stylist!!!
