I went in today to get some new makeup. I went in to get Becca brand foundation. I wasn’t sure which color would go best with my skin color so I asked one of the girls to help me. She wanted to show me a different kind of makeup. I thought it was odd but I told her I wanted this particular kind. She then said she would find someone else to help me. Another girl approached me and took me to a chair to try the makeup. At that time ANOTHER sales associate approached me and told me I NEEDED to try Urban Decay foundation. She tried UD on me, and I said I didn’t like it. She got an attitude. It was almost like I had offended her! Like you didn’t make the makeup. Get over it. So apparently these people work for one brand. Anyways they are too pushy in there. I will be going to Sephora from here on out. I wouldn’t have bought the Urban Decay at that point if it made me look like Adriana Lima and was 97% off.

I scheduled an appointment two days before a few months ago. It was the first time I had gone because I’m new to the area. The salon area was teeny tiny. There was only one girl, and she was in the middle of dying someone’s hair. She kept working on the other person while she cut mine. I asked for her to cut off the dead ends and that I wanted it to be easy to style while I grew it back out. It looked EXACTLY the same when I left. I wasn’t happy about it. Waste of money. She spent maybe 15 minutes with me. She basically just cut the dead ends off the very bottom, not the layers. I will not return.

I’ve come twice in the past two days. One employee told me they would have stocked shelves the following day since they were out of the products I needed, the following day when I went in they were unloading products in he middle of the day. I nicely asked when I could come back to stocked shelves since I live far away and the manager rudely dismissed me and told me to come back the next day. Officially done with this location. No need to be rude to an inquiring customer.

Love Ulta. And this is the most convenient location for me. The staff is pretty good… They seem to pester you a little bit though. Sometimes I would like them to ask if I need any assistance and when I say no… Then they leave me alone. Overall it’s a great store though!

I’ve visited this store on a few occasions, but have never purchased anything. I never get acknowledged with a greeting when I walked through the door each time, yet whoever walks in after does. What gives? I usually reserve major purchases for online because I buy enough for free shipping and samples. Each time I’ve actually walked into a store was to buy one or two items of a particular brand of makeup– NYX Cosmetics. Their selection of this brand is always picked over and the display is messy. There was a lipstick that was opened and smashed on the floor. I don’t think I’ll ever waste time walking into this location again. Make the trek to the mall for Sephora or purchase your stuff online if you’re sure of what you want.

There is not a whole lot to say other than I walked in was looking for something specific, but every time i saw an employee(which there were plenty of) they were engaged in some he said she said conversation. I finally asked the guy behind the register and while he was friendly and said he would come around to help but he had a line of customers and was never able to get away. Basically they left him there to tend to customers while there were other customers with questions and messy drawers were left half open all over the store. I will pass…

DONOTGETYOURMAKEUPDONEATTHESALON! Spare yourself. I got my hair and makeup done by Valerie in Dec. for my wedding reception in the US. I had already gotten married in France a few months earlier and spent a lot on hair and makeup for the real day, which is why I wanted to save money and not spend hundreds on a professional makeup artist for just a reception. BIG mistake. I looked like a jacked-up geisha. I will just list everything she did wrong here: — Foundation WAY too light. — Did not cover up acne scars with concealer. — Globbed eyelid primer on without smoothing or blending. — Never blended eye shadow! I had to tell her multiple times to blend. It looked like paint-by-numbers and the lack of blending CLEARLY shows in pictures. — Liner not smooth line. — At one point I just made her take off all the eye makeup and start over because the liner wasn’t smooth and the primer and shadow weren’t blended at all. She started to wipe off the makeup with a remover pad and then stopped and said«Oh now it’s smooth, would you like to keep it?» I was shocked! She had just started to smear everything off with a makeup remover pad and then thought it looked good enough to keep! — Even the second time, the eye liner was atrocious. After viewing the pictures, my mom actually commented that my eyes were half closed in every picture. I had to tell her that no, my eyes weren’t half closed in every single pic out of hundreds, it’s the eye liner that gives that impression. — Was not even going to line lips before putting on dark lipstick… hello!!! I had to watch everything she did like a hawk. I’m kicking myself I didn’t just spend the money on buying the products and doing it myself. This is a makeup artist that did not even blend eye shadow!!! Everyone knows the most important rule of eye shadow is to blend! Valerie and other employees assured me when I was making my appt that she was the best makeup artist at the store, so if she’s the best, I would NOT recommend you try your luck with another Salon employee. Furthermore, when I went to get a refund(which I did receive), the Salon Manager was upset at me. She said«You should have said something when you were here.» 1) I did say something. I made Valerie completely re-do my eye makeup. 2) I can’t be late to my own reception and there’s a point where you just have to leave… I didn’t appreciate at all the way she treated me.

Ulta stores are hit and miss for me. The selection is usually awesome for the«prestige» lines of cosmetics, but the other brands are usually not well organized. I have learned that if I don’t see the color of the Ulta brand cosmetic I want, to look in the drawers underneath the display rather than ask a salesperson who will only tell me that if it isn’t out, they don’t have it. This particular Ulta seems to be staffed with snooty, snippy salespeople who are bent on meeting some kind of quota for a particular brand of makeup. They don’t know their product lines well, either, nor do they understand how to match skin tones to makeup. I have been mismatched twice now and I have felt pushed into buying foundations which do not match what I’m looking for nor do they look good on me. The first time, I went with the brand I went in there to buy, but ended up with completely the wrong color after a sales rep attempted to push me to purchase a totally different brand that looked like crap on me. I kind of feel like the color mismatch was on purpose, because I didn’t buy the product they kept trying to push on me. The second time I went in, the salesperson either completely lied to me about a makeup being long lasting(it’s definitely not, nor does it claim to be — I conducted my own research after the fact) or she just doesn’t know. I also asked for a certain type of brush and the salesperson sold me something different. It doesn’t do even close to what I wanted. I am just glad that Ulta has a great return policy. I’m frustrated and irritated both with the salespeople at this particular store and myself. The salespeople need to be better trained and the store itself needs to offer better lighting for testing foundations on people. I should be more firm with what I want and what I know works for me rather than letting salespeople push me into something I don’t want. Back to Ulta I go for the THIRD time in two weeks to return the latest failure and find something else that I hope works.

The staff have been amazing to me everytime I have gone in, very friendly! I had a complimentary makeover done one of the first times I visited and they wowed me! Since then I have had multiple services(hair, brow and skin) and purchased products. They have always treated me superbly and their services are wonderful. They also do a great deal of charitable contributions. This review is for Kennesaw, GA, my current store.

I visited this location yesterday and was in and out in no time. I got what I needed since my store was out, and was out of there in 5 minutes!

The staff here is awesome. I was asked by what seemed to be everyone that was clocked in if I needed help. It was a bit annoying after the 3rd person asked but I’m glad they did. I guess I looked pretty lost. I was looking for a wand curling iron that did not taper at the bottom and the sales associate led me straight to what I asked for down to the exact measurement of the wand. She also assured me that if after getting home and it’s not what I wanted that I could definitely return it even without the original packaging.

This was my first visit to Ulta and my experience at this location was great. I cannot review salon service as I was only here to get some help selecting a new foundation. While there I was asked if I was interested in a brow wax at the Benefit Brow Bar by Andrea which I did. She was skilled and my brows look great. The store manager herself assisted me in selection of new foundation and I left very well pleased with the results and the entire process. Great customer service. I look forward to my next visit.

I went to this location to look for a good hair brush. I normally walk through several aisles looking around. I kept seeing this lady«around» looking at items. I thought nothing of it until I was about to leave and saw her behind the register. She was following me around! I guess I was initially clueless. I don’t get followed in stores and I am not a thief. I was highly offended and would only go back to that location to give that woman a piece of my mind should she follow me again!
