Why this establishment has five stars is absolutely BEYOND me. My only guess is that these people are affiliated with the salon somehow; either by employment or they are friends/​family of the employees. That’s the only way I can imagine you would get 5 star service here. I know this is a clichè, but honestly wish I could leave zero stars. So… let me tell you about my experiences with Renuz Salon.
I’ve passed Renuz Salon a few times and its caught my eye. They boast a good price on threading ($ 8), and the location being so close made it a place I wanted to try out. I had an important event one Wednesday night and around 1pm I rolled up, ready for my eyebrows to be threaded to perfection! And… nothing. No lights on. No people inside. Door is locked, despite them displaying a 10 – 6 schedule from Tuesday to Sunday. Right on the door! I walked away frustrated and disappointed, but understanding. It’s a one-​off business, most likely family-​owned, so perhaps there was an emergency.
My next visit was on a Thursday morning at 11:15am, I believe a week or two afterward. And guess what?! Same deal! Absolutely no one to be found, it looked abandoned, and at this point I was thinking that it might’ve closed down and no signs had been posted yet. I was LIVID! What kind of establishment doesn’t adhere to their OWN basic opening hours? Ugh, needless to say, I was ready to give up on them.
Until this morning.
I was running late for work, and DESPERATELY needed my eyebrows done. I got ready as fast as I could and gave Renuz Salon a call. That’s right, I called first! To my surprise and relief, someone answered! I quickly asked what their hours were (just to have an employee verbally confirm what their door said). She said «10 to 6». Awesome. I thanked her and her response was a grunt. I wish I was joking, but it was a literal grunt. Whatever, I work retail, I can understand a periodic lack of enthusiasm. So I rushed over.
I opened the door, and was slightly underwhelmed. The room to my left was empty and didn’t even have lights on and there was a little boy just sitting there, I’m guessing the child of a client. But here’s what really gets me… I was not greeted. NOT ONLY was I not greeted, but I was not even acknowledged for the entire five minutes that I stood in the foyer not knowing what to do. An employee, yes an actual person with eyes and ears, stood there silently cutting a clients hair not five feet from where I stood. And another employee was doing something around the corner. There was no desk, no music, no clipboard to sign in, nothing to indicate that I was at a business other than the «OPEN» sign in the window. I felt absolutely invisible. I would’ve even taken a greeting with an attitude; just SOMETHING! But it seems I didn’t even deserve that, and just the mere thought of handing over my hard-​earned money to this «business», after my attempts to do so, brought a sickness to my stomach that only fresh air could relieve… so I sighed and walked out.
I’ve never been so upset by a business to the point where I felt the need to leave a bad review. But I just couldn’t bear the thought of good people seeing this Unilocal page filled with five stars and being lured into what has been the worst salon experience of my life (and I’ve had some BAD cuts/​threads/​waxes).
Please beware! There are MUCH better places within a mile or so (check my page, because this experience has encouraged me to give the proper kudos to who deserve it), that will give you a proper salon experience.
And stick to their posted hours!

When to get my eyebrows threaded. I was in and out in 10 mins. She did an amazing job. I literally look like a different person.

I was new to the area and looking for a reliable place to get my eyebrows threaded. I hit gold on the first try! Renu did an excellent job on my eyebrows. She shaped them the way I wanted them to be it cost only $ 7! I will definitely be returning.

Literally the best place for all your beauty needs! My eyebrows are always perfectly done and her facials are really great as well! I would look no further :)

I have been going to Renu for the past several years. She is great with threading, waxing and facials. Her threading does not hurt as much and she is very reasonably priced.
What sets her apart is that she really cares for her clients and is not interested in pushing products or services. She recommends additional care ideas which work for my schedule.
