I had been searching for a place to eat lunch on my lunch break since I was new to this area. I was passing this place and said hey why not stop in. Best decision I ever made. My order was taken quickly and food came even quicker and it was STILL hot. They have amazing deals and I must say that this is the best burger that I’ve ever had in my life! I highly recommend eating here whether it’s for lunch or a family outing.

The lady who took our order at the window tonight was sweet as can be. I really enjoyed the food. The price for a family of five was the best part. We all had burgers and fries. Can’t wait to try other selections. We will be back!

First time trying it. This place is really clean and staff is friendly. Burgers are amazing and so affordable! Love that you can get a corn dog as your side. Will definitely be back.

The main reason I would encourage anyone to come here is just to have good amount of food for low prices. Fried chicken sandwich is my favorite. Crust is tasty and chicken is tender. Cajun chicken is pretty good if you like your food a little bit spicy. When you come to a fast food restaurant, you should not be expecting consistency in general but I think I have been to this location more than 5 times and it has been consistent. The manager of this branch was nice and helpful the first time I met him. He cares about the quality and proud of their prices and menu. That being said, the workers at this location are not as helpful or friendly.

I just wanted to put this out there because this is a great restaurant that has awesome food. Granted, we have had a few encounters with unfriendly staff but some of that is to be expected when you have a restaurant that is so busy that on an average day the drive through line is wrapped around the building and parking lot full. We came from NC and when we got to GA this place had no clue about real food. Eventhough what I am about to say may be irrelevant to Cookout when we first came here 9 years ago nobody knew what tiramisu was, even at places that claimed to be «italian» restaurants. When we finally found a place that served it, it was about a month from being removed from the menu because the waitress informed us that basically the local customers pallet found it undesirable. Ive also heard this from other authentic restaurants claiming to be from other cities that cant even stay true to their brand and quality for having to «dumb down» and Georgianize(flatten flavor) their words. Not only that but their understanding of southern soul food is non-existant ie husband had a hankerin for banana pudding and we searched high and lo for«authentic» southern food. We read great reviews about pig n chick. upon ordering and receiving the banana pudding i opened the tray to reveal a JELLOMADEBANANAPUDDINGWITHEFFINGMOONPIECHUNKS in it. These same people who claim this type of fu**ery is normal are the same people writing bad reviews on businesses such as Cookout. This place is the MOST authentic southern bbq style restaurant here in GA. If your tastebuds disagree, then go to McDonalds. With regards to price they dont feel the need to price gauge, that doesnt mean they skimp on quality or portions. For 4.99 you get a choice of a sandwich(many to choose from) with 2 sides(choices range from hush puppies to quesadillas etc) and a drink or you can substitute the drink for $ 1 more for a custom handmade milkshake with just about any ingredient you can imagine. I understand that looking at options may fry the brains of these peonces but what do you expect from people that like the Varsity. As a red blooded American i am embarrassed that the Varsity has been suggested and fed to several of our former Presidents, it should be considered attempted assasination. Lastly for the people who suggest they use cheese sauce, look at these pictures. Isnt this delicious looking«cheese sauce?»

For the value, this is our new go to place for the kids. At 4.99 a person, you can’t go wrong. Honestly we could have easily just for 3 meals and a 4th drink extra and been more than enough food for 4 of us. The kids for 2 hot dogs each, fries and onion rings. Wife got 2 chili dogs, chicken nuggets and onion rings, and I got a double burger, fries and onion rings. Thad 4.99 per person. And that comes with a drink! Killer deal for families!

I have eaten here a hand full of times. I’ve tried the chicken tenders once before and was not impressed at all. The batter was fried extremely hard that I threw them away hungry and upset. I decided to give it another try. I ordered the tray with the chicken tenders and corn dogs. No complaints about the corn dogs but the chicken tenders are worst than they were the first time. Why are they fried to hard? I am so disgusted because grabbing a quick bite after working 12 hours to come home with hard tenders that can’t and won’t be eaten makes me so mad. I will not be wasting my money on chicken tenders that I cannot bite into.

Wanted some bbq because there is no drive thru bbq place in the area. It had no sauce and tasted really just smoky. Pretty nasty. The slaw, fries and hush puppies were good, so I might give it one more try and order a burger and shake.

I try not to eat too much fast food, but sometimes I can’t resist. This Cook-Out is just awesome. I don’t normally do lists as a review, but this Cook-Out has earned one. Here’s what’s right about this place: 01. It’s clean — 100-A health rating, and it’s spotless 02. The employees are friendly 03. The combo meals are $ 4.99 and include TWO sides and drinks 04. You can get french fries, hush puppies, slaw, onion rings, or a dozen other side items 05. Corndogs, chicken nuggets, and quesadillas are considered side items!!! 06. You can get a double-burger for the same price as a regular burger in the combo 07. They make good milkshakes 08. The food is fresh(meat comes in daily, and is not frozen) 09. The portions are huge 10. There is a frozen yogurt place two doors down I don’t know how this place makes any money on their food. I get that the milkshakes are much higher margin items, but how can you pay the bills when you can order a double meat burger, chicken nuggets and a quesadilla(plus a drink) for $ 5? If you are craving junk food, you can’t beat this place.

Regular fast food joint, but the only reason I am even writing this review is the milkshakes. As far as milkshakes go they have really good milkshakes, and that is their main selling point. However, I take three stars off due to the food. Their food is just plain grease, no real surprise here though. Go here for the milkshakes, go elsewhere for food.

Cheap place to eat. It’s like going camping and getting camping type offood. Place is clean ordering is fast and the food gets to you fast too. I recommend it if you are in a hurry and lower on cash. 5 bucks will get you a full meal with a drink.

Of you’ve ever been to GA Southern or anywhere in the Carolinas you’ve likely eaten at a Cook Out. The burgers are good. Just off the grill flavor for just out of the freezer prices. Their specials called the Cook Out Tray is $ 4.99! That is with 2 sides that vary from chicken nuggets to quesidillas, I’m serious and a drink. Shakes are great too. College kids heaven. Good fast food on a small budget.

Horrible, loud, screechy speaker at the drive-through, making it hard to tell what I actually ordered. I had to have them repeat several questions, which just subjected me to more horrible, loud, screechy torture. This place is new. There’s no excuse for not having a working intercom. The burger was not real great. Mushy, mystery meat kind of thing going on. I’ve been to Cook-Out in South Carolina and that burger wasn’t like this. That one was pretty good. Five small onion rings; one really small. They are tasty, though. Slaw was uninteresting. So, not much luck with the sides. either. Price is fair for the ‘Tray’ but I’d rather pay a couple a bucks more and go to the Wendy’s down the road for a better burger. And their drive-through intercom doesn’t commit verbal battery on my ears.

Yummy and easy on the wallet! $ 4.99 combos with more food then you could consume. And… CRUSHEDICE! With a milkshake menu that blows Dairy Queen out of the water. Very casual atmosphere. Speedy service a plus!

I would say this is more like a 3.5 rating. The Burgers are not really big but are very flavorful. If you get the Double Burger be careful what you wish for. They give you 2 full thick patties, where there’s 50% more beef than bun. A little too much for me but if that’s your thing, go for it. I stick to the single burger. Chili Cheese Fries are pretty good. They use their Valveeta Style Cheese instead of real shredded cheese, not that that’s a bad thing, it’s just another version of it. You can never go wrong with Chili Cheese Fries(day or night ;). Their Grilled Chicken Burgers are really good and juicy(not dry at all). Be sure to try it «Cheddar Style»! I definitely will continue to go back here.

I love this location when I’m in a hurry and what to grab something to eat for a low price. Every time I go to this location I get my order speedy with great customer service. Most of the workers are some of the college students from the local college near it, and they always have a nice & spunky type of attitude which is really refreshing when your having a rough day… Lol

This is such a neat concept! The food was decent and CHEAP. The décor was that of a lodge and super casual. The cook out tray is such a great value. For $ 5.99 you get an entrée and two sides, where the sides are more like little entrees because they include quesadillas and corn dogs, for example. For $ 1 more you get a shake from their EXTENSIVE list of flavors instead of a soda. Here you pay roughly the same price as some value meals at popular fast food chains, yet the quality of the food is much better, comparatively. That’s especially true with their Cajun chicken sandwich, according to my husband. We’re also big fans of how food tastes on an actual grill as opposed to a flat-top grill, so that’s a big plus for us. Only reason it doesn’t get 5 stars is because the food isn’t out of this world, but the environment and value definitely make this place special. This is now on my go-to lunch list for when I meet with my husband. Love it!

Decided to finally try this place out. Lots of choices on the menu, including hamburgers, hotdogs, corndogs, and quesadias. And of course the 40 different flavors of milkshakes. My girlfriend and I each went with a hamburger, two sides and a drink for $ 4.99. The fries and onion rings were nice and crispy. The chili was a little underwhelming. In addition to the combo, I ordered a Mexican Hotdog. It was really good. For the price you can’t go wrong with place. But be prepared, this isn’t a healthy place to eat at. Next time, I’ll try a grilled chicken sandwich and a milkshake. Give the place a try!

My son was adamant that I «Had to check out cook-Out, the food is SOO good». So I decided to give it a try. The restaurant itself was nice and very clean(nothing worse than a dirty condiments/soda station). I told the young lady at the register that this was my first time at Cook-Out and asked her what she recommended. She was very friendly and helpful, in fact all of the employees I encountered were friendly. Most of them looked to be college age. When my food was ready, one of the employees brought it out to me, and acted like bringing my food to me was the best thing she’d done all day! I was surprised and pleased at how nice and she was. Now on to the food. You get a LOT of food for the money. Was it fine dining? No. But I don’t think it’s meant to be. I ordered two bacon cheeseburgers, onion rings, fries, quesadilla and cole slaw. You get two sides with your burger and a drink or milkshake. My son was right, everything I had was pretty good. I’ll definitely come back again, and next time I’ll order the pulled pork. This place should be a hit considering the prices and how close it is to Kennesaw State. I highly recommend Cook-Out!

Driving to Chattanooga is really a tough one, so sometimes you need to stop for lunch when you reach the faraway town of Kennesaw. Clearly this is why Cook-Out opened up a location just off 75 here. Typically Cook-Out locations seem to be free standing and not involved in any sort of shopping center. This one is kind of tucked back a little into this huge bunch of businesses just east of 75 and before Busbee Parkway. If you miss the first turn in like I did because I didn’t realize it until it was back in here until it was too late, you can turn in from Busbee Parkway. It is basically right next to California Dreaming though a parking lot is between the two. Despite having a decent size interior, good luck finding a nearby parking spot. I ended up giving up and just using the drive thru. It’s hard not to order the Cook-Out tray since it’s so ridiculous how much food you get for $ 5.29(that’s including tax). Since I was just going to eat while I drove, I tried to pick things that’d be easy to eat and got chicken tenders with sides of fries and a chicken quesadilla. For a drink I had to go with the reason I ever come to Cook-Out, the great Cheerwine float. I got my food quickly, and service was great. My drivers side window tends to die when there’s a lot of moisture in the air and I have to yell out the door and they even heard me just fine without having to repeat anything when I ordered! As for the food, you know, it’s what it is for how cheap it is. The chicken tenders though were surprisingly good. They don’t come with a sauce or anything by default, though I wouldn’t have wanted any given the whole driving thing, but I’m not sure what they have/if they charge or anything. The fries are average, but the quesadilla was surprisingly good. And of course, Cheerwine floats are amazing. I think I found my new stop on the way… it works right because it’s about 25% of the way up, right?
