My son has been in the classes for a year and still cannot swim. He was in 2 classes a week until I had my daughter four monthes ago and had to go down to once a week. Instructors for the last year have changed from week to week, without much notice if you do get a different one. I admit my son had a fear of the water being started for lessons at 2 years old but I think the program itself isn’t great. After a year you would think he would be able to at least doggie paddle or be out in the water but no. Also, having some knowledge of the pool chemicals, they need to shock their pool more often, it BURNS when you get it in your eyes, which mean the chemicals are not enough. My son when not wearing his goggles comes home with red eyes every time. So after hundreds of dollars gone, I am looking into private lessons with the hopes that he will be swimming. I would look elsewhere, especially if you child has a fear of water.

Pros: Teachers are truly awesome, program is sound. Cons: Flies in the lobby, no soap in the bathroom(or dispenser was malfunctioning), but maybe it was just a bad day. I was also auto-billed without authorization(I deliberately did not sign or turn in the auto-pay form, and I was offered manual payment as an option, but I was still auto-debited anyway at second billing cycle). Verdict: Great place for swimming lessons, just stay on top of your billing info and byo handsoap or sanitizer just to be safe. In spite of the cons, they get four stars because the teachers make it worthwhile.

I’ve always had my son in the water. He was born in the summer, so he got to go the lake a lot before he ever turned a year old. Over the years, I’ve made sure he’s worn all his safety gear, like a life jacket and goggles. At the lake, I wouldn’t let him go past his knees without me. When we did go further out, I always held on to him. The result being that 7 years later, he is too afraid to swim without me. So I enrolled him in Aqua-Tots Swim Schools. I don’t know how to teach someone to swim and I can’t handle the scared look on my son’s face when I try. I’m very grateful to Aqua-Tots. Mainly I’m grateful to Ms. Maggie. She is the Aquatic Instructor at this location. The place is always clean, but since it’s got lots of water in it, you would expect this anyway ;p Ms. Maggie has been my son’s primary swimming instructor. He goes twice a week. I watch all the instructors during the time my son is there. I’ve got to say, it takes someone pretty dang special to teach a stranger’s kid how to swim. They do such a great job. My son has been there for three months. It’s more than affordable, too. You don’t need to be rich to take them here. There are no more than four kids per class and each class lasts 30 minutes, unless you get private lessons. We go every Monday and Wednesday evening! I would love to see you and your kiddo there!
