I love this gym. The equipment is great and the employees keep it clean and in great shape. The hours? Open 24 hours so that’s convenient. The owners, managers, trainers and staff are helpful and courteous. Wish there were two of these here in Metro NOLA.

I completely adore this gym! I would recommend it to anyone! The prices are amazing and they have always taken it directly out of my account the same day every month. I have been with them since June and I would never go back to any other gym. The personal training is awesome! I have lost 3% body fat so far. Every trainer is extremely nice and very knowledgeable about everything fitness related! My trainer, Alex, is very patient with me and I appreciate that since I ask a lot of questions! He is so amazing and I am very blessed to have him train me. Also every time I walk in the person at the desk always greets me, no matter who it is. It has been this way since day 1! They are all very nice and I enjoy the multiple machines, medicine balls, kettle bells(I think that’s what they are called), free weights, and the ladies only room! Again I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone!!!

I switched from Elmwood to Zoo Health because it was closer to my house. I pay about 11.00 a month for 24 hour access. I know for more money they offer childcare, classes and unlimited guests. I find the gym to be really crowded. I try to get early, between 5 and 7 am seems best. They have several cables and barbell racks. The Women only section is disappointing: They have couple of gym mats that are pretty thin, and the exercise balls are under-inflated. The women’s section does have its own cable machine, 2 tread mills, low weight dumbbells, 2 steppers, and a bench. The cable machine does not have all the attachments that can be found in the main weight room. Overall for the price I don’t mind where it falls short.

Nice & Affordable –A gym worth joining. Bigger than most of the gyms in the area with a lot of equipment to use. Lots of mirrors!(Got to check my gainz). Cool things: 2 Story, spin room, women’s bonus room, room for classes, kids care, tanning, sauna(takes forever to warm) If there were a comparable gym near me with better customer service that could possibly be a reason to switch. I don’t need to have my butt kissed but if workers see you it would be nice if they said hi or smiled instead of talking with each other. For that reason 4 stars instead of 5.

I’ll be honest and say I don’t know much about gyms and health clubs. I’ll also say that I really enjoy coming to the Zoo to work out. It’s not a huge place, but I do feel it has all of the essentials. The weights and weight machines are all on the lower lever while all of the cardio equipment is upstairs along with a women’s only room plus a big room where different types of workout classes are held. I’ve been coming since the place opened a couple months back, and a big motivation for me is that I know someone is paying attention to weather or not I show up. When I first signed up I got one free session with a personal trainer and he showed me how to work some of the machines and some other types of workouts that will work for what I’m trying to achieve. This same trainer always acknowledges me when I get there and gives me encouragement to keep it up! I plan on keeping it up! Just to mention pricing… There are two plans $ 10 a month gets you on the weights and cardio equipment. $ 20 a month gets you weights, cardio equipment, all classes offered, and bring a friend at no extra cost. They offer tanning at an extra charge, personal trainers at an extra charge, and child care is offered(not sure if any cost is involved with the child care). I know there are a lot of options out there for places to get a good workout, but I’m glad I picked the Zoo because it works for me.
