Probably the best breakfast I have ever had in my life. But a little upset I didnt see anyone in a life sized«Skipper» mascot suit walking around. The homefries were freaking to-die-for! Definitely going back.

Most amazing hole in the wall breakfast place ever! I had hash browns, biscuits, and French toast and everything was amazing! The biscuits are enormous and had to share with brother, but food was seriously amazing! Totally recommend!

Today is the second time my boyfriend & I have dined here. It’s been perfect both times! Kimon(who is one of the owners) has been here both times & is personable, and extremely accommodating. We’ve had everything from the Greek wine, Greek beer, dolmathes, gyros, and Greek coffee! All superb! We’ve tried other Greek restaurants and none of them compare! This place is authentic!

Great breakfast find when passing through to visit the space center. Absolutely great service! Portions were maybe a bit big and the breakfast fare was pretty standard but quick and tasty. Coffee cup never came close to running empty and 3 of us left happy for under $ 30.

There was a line to the door, yet we were seated in around 15 minutes. The kielbasa and eggs were awesome. The home fries are more like hash browns, and the seasoning was perfect. I ordered a side of bacon because I wasn’t sure the kielbasa was going to be enough, and I was wrong. Great portions and great flavor. I will certainly be coming back here.

This place is not fancy. They don’t pretend to be. But if you’re looking for a local, mom & pop-type place with DELICIOUS and very well priced food, this is definitely the place to come! I love their food. It tastes like it was made by hand with love. Definitely became an instant«go-to» for me, especially when I want comfort food. The breakfasts here are so YUMMY. And«Skipper» is the nicest, friendliest guy around. I’m fairly new to the area and must’ve looked outta place the first time I walked in… alone and hoping this place would be decent. He welcomed me, made me feel comfortable and then WOW’d me with the best breakfast I’ve ever had outside of my parents’ house(and I haven’t lived with my parents for MANY years, so that’s saying something) …all for under $ 10, I might add! Definitely check this place out!!!

Definitely a mom & pops spot, I have only been for breakfast 3 times & really not a fan. 1st off the food is not hot & fresh, It’s always room temperature, straight from the microwave, better yet it taste like day old left overs. This place gets packed/busy at times & service can be slow. Some of the staff is friendly & some seems to be from out of space. Also, the seating gives me anxiety because they are so close/tight & they do have a small bar area

My hubby and I go here for brunch and breakfast. Our favorite part is the Greek coffee. The presentation and the taste is simply incredible. We have tried their biscuits, pancakes, grits. most of the breakfast entrees. They are always good. The price is reasonable also. We highly recommend this spot and will be back.

I love potatoes and their home fries(hash browns) were tasty and delicious. I love the crispy parts! The food came out really quick and the food was hot. The pancakes were light and fluffy and melted in your mouth. Lots of locals that knew each other’s names. Everyone was friendly. Service was great. One of my new favorites!!!

So excited to find this little gem. Since moving to TX5 years ago I have been on the lookout for a diner type place that compares to the places I am used to up north. We decided to give this place a try and we weren’t disappointed! It was packed but the staff was on point and we lacked for nothing. The pancakes were big and fluffy, home fries were tasty and the corn beef hash done right. The chicken fried steak was not bad but nothing special and the biscuits were big but remained on the plates as they were a bit dense and not too tasty. Overall we were very happy and look forward to visiting for lunch or dinner!

Went for breakfast. The food is okay; nothing exciting. I ordered scrambled eggs with cheese. The eggs were so cold the cheese wouldn’t melt. Toast cold and potatoes were mush. Fortunately, I watched one of the owners sit behind the bar at her desk and enjoy her breakfast. At least someone did. Décor is deplorable. I love a mom and pop spot, but this place is run down and needs a good dusting.

I typically really like the Greek food here and the gyro omelette is super yummy. Service can be hit or miss. They always have the same servers who will show a lot of favoritism to the people they like. They cleaned it up a lot after Ike. My real problem is the rude service, but the food is good.

Great lunch specials for $ 5.50. I had the chicken and dumplings which was a huge serving and came with veggies and a roll. I couldn’t pass up the baklava which was fantastic. All this with tea, still under $ 10.

Solid café that dishes out some really good stuff, at least during breakfast, which is when I went. Great, larger than average pancakes, big biscuits that are fresh, dense, and actually still warm when they hit your table. Grits that were, well… I think this was finally the time where I realized I just really don’t care for plain grits. Don’t get me wrong, the grits I got were done right and were just fine, but I’m willing to finally admit to myself if there isn’t any shrimp, beef, cheese,…booze, or something mixed in with them, they just don’t interest me that much when served plain. But what I did eat(after a little butter up’ing) were, I’m sure, really good. Should have opted for the home fries, their version of hash browns, which looked way more appetizing for my tastes. Next time. Service was good, coffee was good, and prices seemed more than reasonable. Got outta there for less than $ 10(plus tip) I think, so even better. Place is always busy, and it’s off the tourist trappings of the boardwalk.

Visiting Houston for the weekend we happened upon skippers for breakfast this morning. When we walked in the conversations and the sounds of happy people getting their day started told us we have made the right choice. Now let me tell you, if there’s one thing that I love, it’s a good chicken fried steak. When I see it on a menu, you can bet that’s what I’m having. You just never know when you might come across an extraordinary pounded and fried chunk of beef. Well, skippers had chicken fried steak and eggs on the menu, calling my name and since we were having a late-ish breakfast, that’s what I ordered. O.M.G. — let me tell you, this was quite possibly the best chicken fried steak I have ever had in my life. I could cut it with my fork and it melted in my mouth and made me smile all day long. Now that I’m home, in Austin, I’m sad that I can’t go there tomorrow as well. Oh yeah, the people are nice and the service is good too but that CFS… wow.

Tried to visit this restaurant a few weeks ago on a Sunday after church and there was a line out the door, didn’t stay. Was happy to see there was no line on a Saturday afternoon around 1pm. They seem to have authentic Greek food but we just went for breakfast. Pancakes and sausage, it’s hard to mess that up. Our server wasn’t super attentive but the food came pretty fast. Might come back sometime and try the Greek selections, but not on a Sunday!

If you follow my reviews, you know I like breakfast. I decided to check out this spot on a Sunday morning. It was easy to find and we didn’t have more than three minute wait before being seated. They managed to squeeze us in the middle of a walkway. It was tight!!! I was an elbow away from the table next to me. I ordered an western omelette which was pretty good. My waitress was a bit disorganized, but she was nice. She just forgot about everything I requested. Luckily, other wait staff checked on us whenever they saw my disgruntled look.

Went with friends for lunch over MLK weekend. The gyro plate a friend ordered was awesome, my greek salad was to die for, and I encourage you to order the fried cheese. I had the regular greek salad, but next time I will go with the country greek salad; it doesn’t have the lettuce to get in the way of all the yummy tomatoes, cucumbers and olives. I don’t know what is in the dressing that came with my salad, but I could have drank it. My friends had been there for breakfast, but I didn’t get a chance to try it. From what they tell me, it is wonderful also. I will definitely go back.
