OLD.PEOPLE.SMOKING…too much old, yellow hair for me. Enough said, but Unilocal wants more. Nothing wrong with smoking, but definitely not for me.

Depending on the night, you might get different levels of service. Typically beginning Thursday nights into the weekend they get fairly busy. Throughout the week they have great specials on food. The crawfish is definitely there specialty, but I enjoy other items on their menu, such as the philly cheese sandwich or the pound of shrimp. They have a lot of regulars so it seems that they usually get first dibs on the waitresses. Great place to hang out and listen to live music.

There was no one to assist us when we came in, So we found a quiet corner away from everyone. When the waiter came we were told we could not sit where we were do to a closed meeting at the other end of the room.
Left and went to Joe Lees across the street. Best choice of the day.

I went here a few times and the service was awful we waited for 15 min and not a single person came over. Pretty much what I hear from a lot of locals is the service is bad I tried the crawfish too they were not purged were pretty mediocre

My sister and I have these outing every few weeks and we try different eaterys. I had a Groupon that was expiring and I’m glad we drove to Kemah to redeem it. I ordered the grilled chicken burger, but I told our waitress I wanted it fried. It had so much deliciousness on it even the bun was soft like a cloud. My sis ordered the blue cheese burger though she thought it was a bit dry they bought her some avocado mayo and this made her very happy that she ate it all. I ate halve of mine and when I reheated it a couple days later it was still DELISH. Oh! Let me not forgot the drinks I had a frozen mango/​peach margarita and my sis had one also, but I can’t remember what flavor. They both were as good as the food. You don’t have to be a brickhouse to eat at Jackie’s. The service was great also even though it wasn’t very busy when we visited, but that’s the way we like it.

I’m confused as to how to write this review so I’ll start with the best. Mel behind the bar knows customer service. Handled my questions about beverages available because the lighting in the place is poor at best. Without a printed or even chalk board list Mel ran through what they have. Thank you Mel.
Now! Our waitress who didn’t know any of their beers and seemed put out at having to answer questions was a totally different story. It seemed as if she was doing just enough not to get fired. Not the best company representative in my opinion.
When our food showed up on a relatively slow evening the food was cold. Not just the fries but the entrée! Everything on my plate was as cold as if it had been made and left on the counter for an hour! When I ask the waitress to take it away she didn’t offer a replacement (which I would not have taken) or for management to come talk to me. After 20 minutes a guy came out and said «I guess you don’t want anything else? Yea, I wouldn’t either.»
In conclusion, Mel thank you very much. Jackies Brickhouse probably won’t be seeing you again anytime soon.

Great appetizers, music and the staff was very friendly! Gotta try their burgers and crawfish!!!

The best spinach salad with grilled shrimp in the area! (Lots of crumbled cheese, dried cranberries, almonds and yummy dressing!!!) The boiled crawfish are always so good here! Love this place!

Mediocre at it’s best! Thank God I had a groupon to lighten up the experience a bit and falling short to a 2– star instead.
We came here around 7 pm for their Monday specials on Crawfish (this time they did have some after our server double checked with manager). We ordered our drinks: one Michelob beer, one Dr. Pepper and a crown and Coke but before that I asked for their drinks specials and she insisted that they dd not have any so I just got stuck on ordering soda. We each ordered out pounds of crawfish and shared shrimp but for some reason the entire hour and a half we had a total of not one, not two, but four different servers!
I got my Dr. pepper first then another server brought our food and no drinks! We asked about the drinks and she said that she will be getting someone to bring us those (I am guessing the bartender) and we chowed down on some «EH» tasting crawfish and yummy Shrimp. We needed refills and not a single soul walked passed us until we whistled and the bus boy went to get someone and got the bartender for us and that is when he recommended to jut get the pitcher of beer since that was their special. yes you heard me he told us the specials when I had asked already!
We got our refills and a completely different lady came and checked with us and at that point we were close to finishing our food and needed plates to be removed and so she did. Then later, much later the original server asked how we want our checks and informed her about the Groupon which luckily they did not give me a hard time but by that time I was unsure who was our server whom would be commissioning off the tips, after that I decided to just stick to the 15% tips rather than my usual 20 and up since we kept being neglected.
Their food is just «Aight» but I rather go to other nearby bars offering specials up front on Monday nights with finger licking crawfish!

It was okay for the short experience but no crawfish. Didn’t know but after 10pm no kids are allowed so I think it opens up to a full blown dance place and good music. Never partied there but looks like fun to hangout and have drinks might have to check it out

Our wait person Amanda is phenomenal. She is basically working the entire floor by herself and no table has to wait. The crawfish were good but a little small. The star today is the jalapeño, shrimp bacon wrapped. Yet again the overall winner is our server Amanda.

First time here. Margaritas are really good food is good as well. We will definitely be back. Staff is friendly. «The Unilocal challenge 2016»

Food was good but the wait time was long, it took 45 mint for a pizza and when time came for Bill, I used my groupon and my waiter saw it and said she will be right back, but another girl came who took my card and charged me full amount instead of what was the left after the groupon, I was like what and then my waiter came and apologized so in conclusion what seemed to be 30 mint in and out lunch, became a 2 hour thing.

Food’s ok. Service is ok. Atmosphere is great if you like cigarette-​filled smoky air. Good beer and cocktail selection.

Great place to hang out and listen to live music. Been thete several times and staff has aleays been attentive, music has been great, and have had a great time when we go. They also have pool tables and shuffle board tables if you feel inclined. Highly recommend it.

I really hate rating a place less than a 3 stars but Jackie’s just didn’t do it for me (or my kids). I had high expectations about this place but I just don’t feel like they met them. We came on a Sunday afternoon and the crowd wasn’t too bad. I ordered the spinach salad for myself, and the Brickhouse sampler for my kids. I also made it just in time to catch the bottomless mimosas before brunch was over. My salad wasn’t too bad but my kids only enjoyed one thing (onion strings) from the whole platter, and every mimosa that was brought to me was room temp and not cool at all. On top of that, our waitress was also the bartender (we sat nowhere near the bar) and she got lost several times with drink orders.
I wish my experience would have been better but Jackie’s didn’t leave a lasting first impression with me.

I had a crawfish craving and didn’t feel up to make a batch myself soho went here. The crawfish were ok, nothing to write home about. They were so expensive! Ridiculously expensive!!! My daughter got a burger that was way over cooked. She wanted a medium burger and there was zero pink, it was very well done. I wouldn’t go back.

My best friend and I visited on May 14, 2015. It was a lovely experience. I had the cup of gumbo which was a large serving. It was fantastic. Dark roux and lots of shrimp and crawfish tails. I also had the 3 piece catfish meal. We had a margarita each and I had a draft beer, which could have been colder.
My friend had the crawfish special and a salad with strawberries. We stayed and listened to some of the live music. Overall a very fun experience and would like to go back the next time I am in Kemah.

On sundays while crawfish season four pounds for 20 bucks. Excellent service from our waiter Chase.

Every Wednesday night at 6:00, Jackie’s hosts a laid back social run around Clear Lake Shores, or over the Kemah Bridge with mileage ranging from 2 – 4 miles, or however far you want to go. You run, you come back and they feed you free salad and pasta. How cool is that? You have a sign a waiver your first time, but after that you can just sign in for free stuff like t-​shirts, koozies, etc.
Now, the salad and pasta is ok but not outstanding, but it’s free, so you do get what you pay for. I am not complaining, but I wouldn’t give it four stars. But last week my hubby ordered a Black and Bleu burger and man it was fantastic! It was so flipping huge that next time we go we’re going to share that thing!
The service isn’t that great; I think sometimes the waitresses don’t think the runners want to order food or beer. But hello, yes we do! They also have an unadvertised runner’s special of grilled chicken, steamed broccoli and potatoes for $ 6! I had a few bites of my friends and the potatoes taste like they came out of the crawfish boil… spicy and delish!
I’ve never actually been inside, but I love the patio area and the camaraderie of the runners so this is definitely a four star place for that, and for that delicious burger! I want to try the pizza, as it looks so good, but haven’t had a chance yet.
I will definitely keep coming here for running, food and friends! Hope to see you out there as well!
