Good food, great service! Wait staff was very friendly, never had to ask for a refill and they made great recommendations. Steaks were cooked perfectly.

So glad to see this addition to Keller Main St. Wife and I had a wonderful dinner last night. Food was perfectly done and fantastic; Service was among the best ever(thanks Johnny) and we were impressed by this little jewel. This will be a repeat for us as I’m anxious to try other menu offerings. The employees made us feel special and treated us as you would expect, but so often disappointed with other establishments. We will be back very soon. Thank you, Texas Bleu! Reading a few other reviews… I laugh at how critical some can be as if they are grading against perfection. I’ve been to some of the finest dinning venues around the country and experienced hit and misses at many. If you’re looking for absolute perfection, stay home it doesn’t exist. If you’re looking for the cheapest dinning experience around-stay home and cook for yourself. But if you are looking for something quality, quaint, cozy, sophisticated, delicious and inviting, try this place. I can be picky and I was so glad to find such a nice place so close to my home.

Sadly, we are done for a long while at TB. The steak we ordered was not just chargrilled, it was burnt to a crisp and every bite tasted as such. I couldn’t eat it. :(So sad! I hate that they can’t cook a good steak at this place. They comped the steak portion, so good job there. My daughter liked her grilled cheese, but the steak fries were incredibly soggy, all of them. Also, the bread you served when the restaurant was new, was outstanding. Now, the bread is not good. I gave it two visits before I mentioned. Our neighbors went for dinner here on Saturday night. They said the lobster bisque was like a spoonful of sal. Also, the lobster entrée they ordered was so rubbed down with seasoning, that the lobster taste/flavor itself, was lost. They won’t be returning for a while either. We’ve decided to give y’all 6 months to a year before we give you another try. It’s too expensive to keep leaving disappointed. We need greatness in Keller! Please make some changes!

We went here with another couple on Friday. Had a reservation and was seated promptly. We had calamari and the stuffed mushrooms to start. Both good, nothing spectacular but good. We had a bottle of wine, fairly priced. The service was very good, other reviews said it was too loud, I didn’t notice this. My husband got the ribeye, which he enjoyed. I got the pork chop, great flavor but fatty which I was surprised about this. Pork shouldn’t be fatty so I was disappointed in that. We shared a Caesar salad, dry and not served chopped which was odd. My friend got the sea bass. Cooked perfectly but the seasoning was bland. Her husband got a steak, no issues from him On the whole good experience. Our tab was was $ 135 for the two of us, not sure of our friends. Not 100% sure I will go back because there are a lot of choices for that kind of money but I am glad we went!

I love this place! Keller needs more places like it. When I first visited the staff was hit or miss but that has significantly improved. I love the chef’s creations, even the cheese plate was paired wonderfully. The bartender was amazing, he had some awesome infusions, which were all natural. If you tried infusions you must! I honestly didn’t know a place could run out of steaks. That does seem odd but has never happened to our group when visiting. I do know there are legitimate reasons why the chef and bartender are winning over the critics. I’d go here over Del Friscos any day.

We made reservations on Open Table for a Sunday evening. Our waiter was fantastic! Friendly, quick and very helpful. He even brought out our 2 year olds food early, because what 2 year old is capable of waiting for anything?! Haha! The menu looked good, but unfortunately they were sold out of majority of steak options… leaving my husband disappointed. Our waiter told us the specials and even the price of each special which I thought was nice. Who wants to pick a super delicious sounding special and then see on the bill it was $ 100?! Surprise! Complimentary bread is a cold thick loaf with poppy seeds on top. Unimpressed. Shrimp Scampi pasta is pasta, cherry tomatoes, anchovies and shrimp sitting in liquid. Flavor was good. Shrimp were huge. Chicken(which my hubby ordered because the two steaks he wanted were sold out) was«too peppery“came with equally peppery veggies(squash I think he said? Looked like bell peppers to me) Lobster bisque(special of the day) was quite tomato-y. Baked potato for my son, average/small size… Your not getting a giant Texas sized russet that’s for sure… presented in foil with a plate full of condiments. Skin was crazy tough. For the price, there are way, WAY better options! With delicious hot fresh made bread, lobster bisque that tastes like lobster, and STEAK ready and waiting to be eaten on a Sunday eve!

You get high end steakhouse prices but not the quality and flavor to go along with it. Made reservations through the Open Table app. Hostess knew ahead of time we would need a high chair for our toddler as I put in the request through Open Table. She confirmed when we arrived and set it up for us before we reached our table.(Thank you) Waitstaff was friendly and attentive. Went through the specials. Unfortunately they were already sold out of the New York Strip and Ribeye steaks which was what I was deciding between so I ended up going with the chicken breast and a baked potato. I envisioned the chicken breast before coming out as a half of a chicken but was surprised with two chicken«patties» which were heavily peppered. Alongside the chicken breast patties were grilled vegetables which were also heavily peppered. I was able to get through most of the chicken breast patties but gave up on the vegetables after a couple of bites. The baked potato was presented still wrapped in foil with cheese, butter, chives, and chopped bacon on the side. The outside of the potato skin was extremely tough, as in rawhide tough. I wasn’t able to cut through, even with a steak knife so I gave up on that too. It tasted as though we got the last of what was left in the kitchen tonight. Maybe that’s a Sunday routine as they want to clear everything out for the next week. If it is the routine I would suggest coming in on a Friday or Saturday instead to see them at their best. Overall I don’t feel as though you get what you pay for so IMHO if you’re looking to drop $ 70-$ 100 for a dinner I’d suggest driving the extra 20 – 30 minutes into the city.

Great date night spot in Keller! We did a couples, kid free dinner and it was fantastic! The service was great and the atmosphere was very sophisticated. They have a great drink menu too. The Moscow Mule was delicious & my husbands old fashioned was nice & strong.

BOTTOMLINE: If Texas Bleu expects us to pay like they’re one of the«big boys», they’re going to have to play like they’re one of the«big boys», bringing their customer experience up to align with their price point. My wife and I were really excited when we read about Texas Bleu opening in Keller, and made a reservation shortly after the grand opening. The place was hectic and noisy, and the food was just OK; but we chalked it up to being new and resolved to return after they’d settled in. Last night was the second go-round and we were disappointed yet again. It was«déjà vu all over again» when we walked in to find we’d have to wait for our table, despite having a reservation — the same thing we’d experienced on our first visit. «The party at your table is just cashing out» the young hostess lied, «it’ll just be a few minutes». There were no seats available at the bar, so we just hung around the inadequate seating near the hostess stand for 15 minutes. At least one couple was seated ahead of us while we waited, so we probably weren’t the only patrons waiting. I concur with an earlier reviewer that arriving directly into the main dining room is awkward to begin with. Once we were seated, we got excited again about trying the place. I had liked the very unique filet I’d had the first visit(I could pick a Texas Bleu steak out of a lineup, based on the signature seasoning) and was looking forward to experiencing it again. We started with cocktails and the mushroom cap appetizers. The cocktails(strawberry-basil infused vodka martinis) had a jell-like consistency, and my wife ordered a shot of vodka to cut her’s. The appetizer was AWESOME! In fact, I’ve never had a better mushroom cap starter; so there was a pleasant surprise! So, we were off to a mixed start as our server took our order for the main course. My wife had the petit filet and I had the filet oscar special — both ordered medium-rare — and we chose a bottle of pinot noir to go with our steaks. Hopes and spirits were high at this point! The server returned in a few minutes, apologizing for not getting how I wanted my steak, so I repeated«medium-rare». Shortly afterward, we received another staff visitor; someone who presented himself as «the wine guy». He held the bottle we had ordered in his left hand, and another bottle in his right. After mumbling something about inventory mismanagement, «the wine guy» offered us either the bottle we had ordered or another bottle for $ 10 more. «We’ll just have the bottle we ordered, thank you» my wife responded. She saw this as an attempt to up-sell us; but I rather think it was some awkward attempt to too-publicly manage the wine locker. I still don’t know what this guy’s primary role was; but he did open our bottle of wine before he disappeared. The meals arrived and we ate. When we were finished, my wife was happy, but I was just full. Her filet was a perfect medium-rare. Mine, on the other hand, was medium. It was still a very good steak, mind you; it just wasn’t what I’d ordered and for these kind of prices you should get what you ordered. My wife wanted me to save a piece of steak so we could show the waiter the difference; but I was hungry and wound up eating it. She let the waiter know about the difference without a visual aid, and he was apologetic but not compellingly so. To top my experience off, the garlic potatoes were cold and the asparagus was tough. As we planned the rest of our evening, we were browsing local movie showings on our smart phones, but the noise level was too loud for us to hear the audio on the trailers we pulled up. I think our dinner at Texas Bleu would’ve been a decent value proposition were I walking out of there only a buck or a buck-twenty lighter; but my ticket, with tip, for the meal I just described was about $ 280. At this price point, expectations are much higher and there are plenty of places in the DFW area that meet those expectations. If this place expects us to pay like they’re one of the big boys, they need to play like they’re one of the big boys. The count is 0 – 2, and it’s not likely Texas Bleu will get a third swing with us. It’s too bad, because Keller could really use a place like we all thought Texas Bleu would be. Recommendations: — Hire a top-notch, experienced staff and a team leader; then train like the pros. — Work on the ambiance of the place, starting with arrival. — Do something with the décor to mitigate the noise level.

It is great to have a white-tablecloth restaurant in Keller again! Since Mezza Luna closed, we haven’t had one. The new, old-downtown location fits the bill for this upscale-feel restaurant. My wife and I had already celebrated Valentine’s Day, so I took my youngest out for a daddy-daughter date night. I am not a great fan of prix fixe menus because of the limited choices, but especially when there is no advance warning when making or confirming reservations. Still, we were determined to have a great Valentine’s date. I have to admit that I was disappointed from the time we entered. The front doors open right onto the main dining room, where a hostess stand sits. No vestibule or foyer; no separation whatsoever. Although the main dining room was only about 20% full, the hostess seated us in the back corner of the bar area. Was I being punished for dining with a child? I requested another table, which ended up being no big deal. Then our server arrived. He was nice enough, but simply tried too hard all evening long. Please, if you’re a server, just be genuine! As I mentioned, the prix fixe menu was very limited. My steak was far too thin. Feel we paid for USDA Prime but got Choice. I don’t normally care for red velvet cake because it tends to be dry, but this was done like a carrot cake with cream cheese icing between each layer and was *phenomenal.* We’ll give them another try on an evening when they’re serving their full menu. Hoping service and food are better, or we will once again be without a white-tablecloth restaurant in Keller. Pros: — Ambiance was nice; smallish, intimate setting — Food was alright, but over-priced — It was their first Valentine’s Day, so we’ll give them a mulligan Cons: — Service was subpar; we waited too long and he was way too fake — Food did not meet expectations for a fine dining experience(and price) The Bottom Line: We will give them another shot away from holidays and hope for a better menu, better food and better service. Stay tuned!

I’m writing this while setting in the restaurant. Walked in there were 3 tables sat. Had to wait to be seated, host was laughing it up in the bar. Services so far has not been good. Party after us was waited on 1st. I already asked twice for a straw from two separate waiters who have both failed to deliver. Bread is so hard it could be used as a weapon and it’s not even sliced. Have ordered and to tell you the truth I’m not really looking forward to the food. Already have a bad taste in my mouth.

I really wanted to like Texas Bleu because they are local and our area needs good nice restaurants. BUT. It was only okay until you consider the prices; then it should have been a lot better. Essentially they are charging Del Frisco prices but the quality isn’t anywhere near Del Frisco. First, the good: 1. The music — very lovely soft guitar jazz. It wasn’t overwhelming, so you could hear the table conversation. 2. Building — The interior of the restaurant was very soothing. I enjoyed being there very much. But, the lighting is very low so bring a light(iPhone?) with you so you can read the menu. 3. Service — Our server was excellent. I can’t say enough good things about him. He was attentive but not in the way. He was very observant when to bring drink refills. He didn’t rush us at all. Now the not so good: 1. Appetizer — The chef produced(free of charge) a chicken salad with toasted bread. The salad was only so-so. There was no pizzazz or anything special to warrant eating extra calories. 2. Cesar Salad — The dressing and croutons were good. But the lettuce was quite wilted giving the salad a slightly slimy texture. 3. Filet Mignon — Part of my steak wasn’t a filet. The meat was very stringy and very tough. The other end of the steak was indeed filet. But, at $ 48.00 I expected the entire 8 oz piece to be filet. The flavor was very good though. 4. Dessert — Chocolate cake had a good flavor, especially the icing. But the cake itself was extremely dry. The entire meal, including tip came to just over $ 80.00. Mind you, there was no alcohol. I could have had a similar meal at Del Friscos for roughly the same price and it would have been significantly better. Bottom line — If you want a fine dining experience and are willing to spend some money, go to Del Frisco’s, Silver Fox, or anywhere else.

Let me start by saying that Jeremy is the only reason that I might consider trying them again some day when our server gets fired and they have a chance to work out the customer service issues! They have decent tasting steak if it was cooked how I asked, but the steak my girlfriend had was very good. Would have been nice with a potato that was not frozen though. They have Outback steaks with Applebee’s service at Del Frisco prices! All of these other reviews are clearly employees or relatives.

Disappointed. We wanted to try a local high end steak house in Keller, and have read many reviews about the Chef. We were greeted warmly and promptly, but the dining area was a little noisy. Our waiter was very kind, but seemed rushed reading off all the specials for the evening. The wine list was extensive, and we ordered a $ 45 bottle of Malbec and were very surprised that it was a screw top. On average the cheaper bottles of wines were listed from $ 40-$ 45(retail $ 18 at a store). After we placed our order we found ourselves waiting for an extended amount of time with no appetizer. They were constantly returning to pour more wine when our glasses were still half full which made us feel rushed. The manager finally came by to apologize about the long wait on the appetizer, and when he left the table our dinners were set. We never saw the appetizer, and when it was placed five minutes after dinner we were already well into our meals. The food was good, but for the price and experience I expected more. When all was said, and done the manager didn’t comp any part of our appetizer or offer an apology for a poorly timed dinner presentation. The waiter seemed embarrassed, and apologized when he dropped our $ 150 bill. Dinner for two ran us ~ $ 180 after tipping. For the price and experience I would have expected management to make more of an effort to apologize, and to encourage us to return or at least try to better our experience with an offering of a desert to share. He did none of those, and didn’t seemed interested one bit in making sure we returned. This restaurant has potential, but needs to work on knocking our socks off for that price. I could have easily had the same caliber meal somewhere else, and paid far less.

Tried Texas Bleu for the first time last night and had a really solid experience. They had my husband’s favorite cab by the bottle and we shared the giant serving of calamari to start. He and I both got the filet per the waiter’s recommendation. The steaks were really perfect, loved that it has the char like it’s been on an open flame or something. Service was pretty seamless. The only disappointment was dessert. The blue velvet cake was dry and crumbly. We got to meet chef Erin and she was really friendly, we will be back to support a local Keller busines. Definitely make reservations– the dining room is small.

My husband and I had a 7:30 pm reservation on Christmas Eve. This is a holiday tradition for us and we like to try good quality, independent, local places whenever possible. We were greeted warmly and promptly and taken to a nice table in the bar area. A little noisy, but overall nice ambiance and we also had a glimpse of the kitchen, which I think is nice and adds energy to the place. It took a while for the waiter to come by and even longer to receive our drink orders, but the place was fairly busy and on a holiday night, we weren’t too stressed over it. When our waiter came back though, he only had my husband’s drink and said they were out of the Chardonnay I had chosen, but they had a really good Riesling to substitute. Huh, what? I am not a wine snob, but those two wines are nothing alike and I started to wonder what kind of dining experience we were in for… To start, we ordered the jumbo shrimp cocktail, which our waiter said had 6 shrimp. Unfortunately, he was close-but-wrong again and brought us 4 shrimp sitting on a glop of(basically) ketchup. Kind of pricey at $ 15, but the bread that came out with it was good. We also shared a wedge salad, which the kitchen was kind enough to split for us. Good salad, but kind of odd that there was really no dressing — just big blue cheese crumbles and bacon. Getting back to the waiter again… we learned an awful lot about him during our visit. He really liked to talk. About himself. It’s good(and necessary) to hire local, but this guy definitely needs some polish and understand what«attentive, yet understated» service looks like. Entrees — WOW. This is the part of the meal that brought my review from a 3 to a 4. My husband got a small(5 oz) steak and was really regretting not ordering the 8 oz. Based on the tiny bite he shared, it was one of the best steaks I’ve ever tasted. I decided to go with the classic Cordon Bleu and it was also fantastic. We will probably be back, but will give it a little time so Chef Erin & her crew can get a bit more settled in.

Received this message from the chef: «This is the Chef. Please come back, and try our steaks. Everything we do is from scratch, and made with my hands. I appreciate your criticism, and hope to make you a believer in our Privately Owned Restaurant. We are not a chain, and are solely operating as a local entity. Keller needs a nice restaurant, and our hope is to provide that void. Please try us again, and let your server know I’ve asked to personally come out and meet you. Chef Erin» So I went back to read my original reviews and others — clearly food and service are both inconsistent at best. This is not just me. What exactly are you doing about it? The message above touts«local» more than any other attribute. I’m not gonna go to a sub par restaurant just because they’re not a chain. For the prices, I expect an outstanding meal and outstanding service. I like local, but you can’t just say we’re local so nothing else matters.

I was anxious to try this place, after my parents told me how good it was last week. I was totally underwhelmed, and my family even told me how much different their experience was last week. So the special that night was a 5oz filet, shrimp, and crab cakes. I opted for that. I ordered the steak medium rare, and it came out burnt on top, and bloody on the inside. Maybe cooked with too high of heat? Not sure how this combination happened. The crab cakes were the best part. To top it all off, it took forever. We wanted an early, 5:30pm, dinner. We finally left at 8pm. When we arrived we’re the first table there, and other tables were regularly turning over in the time it took to cook our 5 meals. Kinda crazy. Both my parents and I, spent the evening sick at our stomachs throughout the night. The Pros 1) the vegetable plate. It was the best thing we had. Grilled vegetables, with olive oil, and sea salt. A very simple dish, done well. The Cons: 1) Abundantly salted. Everyone in our party has mentioned(the following day) how swollen we are, and how our mouths are all messed up. 2) Loud! I get that on the busy nights all restaurants get loud, but this was nuts! Maybe all the hard surfaces in the small room, but I couldn’t hear a word anyone was saying(I’m 27, not 67). 3) Bad service. Our waiter clearly had too many tables and not enough help. Not his fault, but we got there for an early dinner at 5:30, and left at 8. A two and a half hour dinner when we started as the only table in the place is a little bananas. 4) The filet. This was interesting. 2 people at the table ordered the 8oz, and I had the 5oz special. What was mind blowing is that their filets were really good. Mine was awful, and when we swapped everyone had the same conclusion: mine was awful, theirs was good. Someone who had been here before told me after«not to order the 5oz, because it’s awful.» How can two steaks with the same seasoning taste so different? I wouldn’t go back. Everyone says that maybe it was just an off night and the last time was better, but I was sick at my stomach all night. Really not a good experience in many ways.

Something Keller(and most of the mid-cities) is lacking is a good steakhouse. You’ve got to go to Fort Worth or Dallas to get a truly awesome steak for the money you pay. Texas Bleu really delivers! The filet was tender and well seasoned and seated upon some delicious garlic butter sauce(the way I think a filet should be), and accompanied with well cooked vegetables. What more could you want? I read reviews of bad service — I’m sure all these kind folks were still being trained when those reviews were written, because my service was awesome. My wine glass was always full, every server knew what every person at our large table had ordered. We had no problems at all and waited an average wait time for our check. The ambiance is wonderfully cozy and semi-fancy. They’ve got wine lockers for all those collectors and aficionados out there, white tablecloths among black leather seats and chairs and a granite counter top bar with unique cocktail menu. They’ve also got a really amazing wine selection you don’t see everywhere for a very affordable price. Don’t forget about dessert. The blue velvet cheesecake was one of my favorite parts of dinner.

Outstanding experience from beginning to end. My wife and I came to the Bleu to celebrate our wedding anniversary. I mentioned this in my reservation(open table) and we were seated immediately and the hostess wished us happy anniversary. Our waiter Jordan brought us champagne on the house and a sample of their chicken salad on bruschetta. We started with calamari– good quality, not tough or rubbery. The marinara sauce was served cold(by design) and was unique with a hint of citrus. Great! We both had the bone-in ribeye and it was incredible. The taste was perfect, it was flavorful, done absolutely right(both ordered medium rare). The twice baked potatoes that accompany the meat were also out of the park good. To top it off they brought us out a dessert plate of chocolates and crème brûlée cheesecake on the house. The sommelier Cef was friendly and knowledgable, as was the executive chef Erin who also came out to chat as we enjoyed our coffee after dinner. Love local, support local and we needed a place like this in Keller. Dress code is upscale casual. You’ll fit in wearing a coat or shorts and polo. We’ll definitely be back!
