On Father’s Day I took the kids to the white lake block party to check it out. They said they wanted pizza for lunch so we parked at Sorellos pizza. The owner comes over immediately after we get out the car and put sun block on and head towards the party and tells me we can’t park there. I told him we were just walking down to check out the block party and would be right back for lunch. He says«oh well you can’t park there» Confused I asked«what?» Certain he didn’t hear me say I was coming there for lunch I repeated myself and he very aggressively repeated«I don’t care, move your damn car». So I said ok no problem and told him you def just lost a customer, to which he replied«just move your fucking car». I told him no problem I’ll be sure to tell others how you just treated a customer. He turned around and walked away. During this interaction 4 other people parked their cars and walked down to the block party without him saying a word. So I move the car up the road regathered the kids and start walking down again, and again he comes running out aggressively cursing shouting and threatening to have me towed. I told him he needed to back off and watch his mouth in front of my children to which he once again told me «fuck off and not to come back, as if I planned to. My children couldn’t believe he spoke to us like that when we intended to have lunch in his place. I can’t believe this man acted this way towards us, in front of my children, and on Father’s Day! What a way to treat a customer. Ps. The large lot was completely empty, no wonder why!

Love the pizza here! As a Queens native, my pizza standard is pretty high. Sorella’s makes a delicious pie. Nice & cheesy, just the right amount of sauce, dough cooked to perfection. If you call in a pie for pickup, it usually takes about 20 mins for it to be ready. Ask to join the pizza club and you can earn a free pie! The other food here is also really good. The seating set up is really cute and spacious; very retro-esque. Gerry is super friendly and does a great job at running this place. Highly recommend — it’s definitely the best pizza in Monticello area!

Service was terrible. Girl preparing the pizza was rude and said I can leave if I don’t want to wait. This was 25 minutes after I placed my order which no one was preparing. After years in customer service I can safely say skilled managers and good employees don’t work this way. Even if the business is profitable I wonder how much more money they would make with a nicer, more helpful staff. In the end I won’t be going back, good pizza is not hard to come by and this place isn’t worth the headache.

We have not yet had the pleasure of dining in but will very soon. This has been our go to place for pizza as its very tasty and reasonably priced. The only thing I haven’t liked so far is the last time we ordered a meatball and garlic pizza the garlic was out of a jar which gives a completely different taste than fresh, and meatball was only put on half the pie. Things happen and we ate it also have continued to order pizza from there. We have also had the calzone and garlic knots, both delicious. I am anxious to come in and try the dinners so I can review them as well. I can say that the menu shows a good selection and also good prices. I can’t speak about the wait staff but can say that when calling and picking up our order we have always been dealt with in a courteous and professional manner. So far a devoted customer

Haven’t been this disgusted in a restaurant in a while. My family and I were visiting the area and looking for a good place for lunch. We decided to go here based on the good reviews, which I’m baffled by. Our first impression was it looked really cute. It’s all decorated in a 50’s theme with collectibles all around to look at. Beyond that, I’m amazed they are able to stay running. You know the place where you walk in and some 15 minutes later somebody finally acknowledges your presence? We were about to get up and leave. The table next to us had gotten their food, paid for the bill, and left by the time anybody said hello to us. The place was not terribly busy. Even if it was, that’s no excuse for lack of a, «Hi, how are you today?». Finally, a guy walks over, who I assume was the owner, and takes our orders. Doesn’t make any effort to be hospitable, just pretty much what do you want? Things on their menu were not updated, he couldn’t answer our simple questions, and forgot half our order. There were only four of us. My husband ordered the nacho fries. literally Orieda crinkle fries, with a couple orange craft singles on them, still in their square shape. Along with that, just a simple caesar salad, which was plain awful, and three reheated slices, and it took over half an hour. We kept ourselves occupied by watching the guy at the next table waiting just as long for a sandwich. We never saw a waiter or waitress after that. Left the money on the table and walked out, nobody even noticed. Even if you’re short staffed, if you are running a business, you make up for any inconveniences with good customer service, which clearly was of no priority here, and it ruined our lunch. The only thing I can say was the pizza was decent. The water was foul, go with a bottle. Or better yet, just don’t go. I’ll never return here.

Don’t call when they are busy because you will wait forever for a delivery order. Placed order at 5:15 told it would be 40 to 45 min. And after 2 hours finally received food. Delivery person very apologetic and refused tip. Person answering my three inquiries about delivery very rude and told me I had nerve to keep calling when they were busy. I guess they really don’t want business.

We had a great family experience here on our way back from Camp Chipinaw nearby. Pizza was good, as well as wraps, Mozzarella Sticks, and our son loved their crinkle fries. Service was quick, and prices were reasonable. Looks like they also have a huge back room where they can entertain and they have performances and comedians on weekend nights. We will be back next time in the area(PS, they also have slices of pizza for sale, so if you are in a rush, you can just order a slice at the counter and go!)

I keep telling myself not to go back here but trying to patronize small rural eateries.

Just ate at Sorella’s and had a gastronomic delight. The maranara was excellent and obviously homemade. The veal you could cut with a fork. Pleasent servers amidst a happily decorated restaurant.

Great pizza espically the chicken and garlic! Sandwiches are huge and the veal is great! Gerry is always greeting customers and makes you feel at home. His daughters always have a great smile. Oh and you’ve got to try the wings here!!! Small but as a result they are very tender! Love the bbq wings!

We tend to stop by here on our way back from the City and each time the pizza is excellent, the transaction with the Owner is memorably pleasant and fun and the beautiful young Lady who makes pizza there is a sweet heart. The meatballs are amazing, too! Keep up the great work and we’ll continue to return again and again! Thanks!

We ordered 160 wings of various flavors to take out, for a party at my house, in the middle of peak dinner rush on a Friday night. The staff — particularly Gerry, but also all of the girls we spoke to — were helpful, incredibly nice(even during the lunch rush when I stupidly called), and got the order perfect. The whole transaction couldn’t not have been smoother. The wings were delicious!(Try the bourbon molasses, yum!) Yes, they were a little on the small side, but they were perfectly cooked and seasoned, and honestly, the only problem we had was shoveling them in our mouths fast enough! The price was FABULOUS — we fed a party of 7 people, stuffed, with wings, fries and onion rings, for under $ 60! We have just become dedicated life-long customers. Cannot recommend this place enough!

Great food and great atmosphere. I regularly eat here for lunch since I work in the area. Great pizza and their chicken roll is outstanding. One of the best parts is the old school décor. Very quiet with music playing in the dining room. Nice place to unwind and relax with a good meal. Highly recommended!

Good NY style pizza. The staff is very pleasant. They are open year-round unlike the other town restaurnts that close in the winter.

Pretty good! I’m not quite sure what the obsession with opening pizza places in Kauneonga/White Lake/Mongaup/Bethel is. We have so many of them and so little of everything else. Regardless, the pizza was pretty good and so were the other things we ordered. The garlic knots could use to be more garlicky, but that’s really the only issue.
