A restaurant trading on fresh healthy food should provide a clean place to consume the food. This was my first visit and the dining area was filthy. Food, napkins, and dirty bowls covered over half the tables and the floor was not much cleaner. A prep person came out of the back and sat down at the filthiest table to take a break. She moved the dirty bowls around to have a place to put her drink — finished the drink and left the mess. I complained to the crew leader who reluctantly sent someone out to clean. I found the servers hard to hear and they seemed to be displeased that I was there. The process for one employee to serve one customer all the way through the line sounds great, but the slim staffing level makes this slow and tedious for the customer.

My problem was waiting in a line of 3 people for 5 minutes. I didn’t understand why it was taking so long until it was my turn to select a salad. The waitress didn’t understand one word the people were saying. Luckily I speak a little Spanish. The other thing I didn’t like was the amount they give you. I order a regular salad and when it came time to add cucumbers she gave me three small pieces. I asked for a little more and she gave me one piece. One piece was the size of a peppermint candy. I didn’t understand why. Did she think I wasn’t going to eat them. I mean I am 6’1″ 285lbs and I like cucumbers A LOT. So instead of begging for more cucumbers i just left and went to another place.

Pros: the service here is so much better than the location in the medical center! Beyond that, everything I like about this chain. Salad, fruit toppings, spicy chipotle each dressing. Cons: busy. Had to search for parking during lunch. Expensive? I did get enough salad to last me for 4 days, so maybe not that expensive.

Been here a few times and I love it. Fast fresh and tastes great! Really helpful to have a place with healthy food around! Will be back when we are in town again.

Ingredients are always fresh. Love the huge selection of veggies and fruit and the large portions they give you. Only wish they had more dressings since I’m not bowled over by any of theirs. The servers have always been nice.

This location can not handle large to go orders & treat you like a major inconvenience. Even on one order they will forget your dressing. The forks & utensils will be completely out at the busiest time while the employees are in the restroom playing on their phones! Gross!

Service has gotten better. Pita chips are still over-salted. Overall the food is pretty fresh.

The three stars is for the food or else would of been one star. The service at this location does not match the other three Salata locations I have visited. I have given this location roughly 10 tries hoping for improvement, but seems to be getting worse. The owner really needs to spend a few nights at this location to see the disappointment in the reviews first hand. The portions have gotten ridiculously tight, I assume as business has slowed due to lack of service and instead of improving service owner has made the decision to cut back on food cost. Also how does this establishment constantly run out of toppings? Final note please invest in the bread warmer as the bread is somewhat inedible when not heated.

Overall the food is great. There are two problems I have with the place. One is the service. Extremely slow. They are literally never organized to keep the line flowing at a steady rate. One person is at the front and he moves with one person all the way down the line and then stands around for someone else to help the next customer. It’s awful. We’ve timed the lines from standing next to the door all the way through checkout and it’s upwards of 45 minutes every time. This is a simple logistics issue that a diligent manager should be able to handle. Second is the amount of food. The first few times right after it opened the bowls were so full of food that you could easily take half home for another meal. For the price you pay that was great. Suddenly they’ve become stingy. I mean worse than subway stingy. You get three olives or a few pieces of tomato. If I’m going to stand in line and pay for a bowl of rabbit food, give me a decent serving. It’s ridiculous. AND when you ask for more every single server I’ve had there has given me a nasty look. Great food, horrible slow service and stingy portions.

Being a new location the staff is a little slow. I am confident they will pick up the pace. They are super friendly so it makes up for it! If that is the worst thing I can say then they are doing alright. They give you a great portion size which is more than I can say about some of the other locations who want to charge me an extra dollar for«extra sides». If I am paying $ 11 for a salad they better make it count, and this location did.

The ingredients are fresh and salads taste really good. I would agree they are slightly overpriced for a salad made in this type environment. Maybe in a sit down restaurant ok but not chipotle style place. I also agree they could add 1 more person to the assembly line and 1 more cashier which would make the line move much faster. The problem though is they don’t have enough seating to accommodate people coming through the line faster. There would be a backup for seating which kind of already happens. So if they could figure out how to make that work and lower prices a couple of bucks would get 5 stars from me!

1st time here & loved it! I ordered 10 minutes before closing and they were so nice to make sure my salad had everything on it just the way I liked it. Believe me when I say its a must try place for salad lovers especially for the price! Very satisfied

Service was great, but slow! I think they need more people working the assembly line. The food was pretty good. I like the concept of the salad bar & they seriously have the best dressing ever! The worker recommended we try the herb vinegarette mixed with the ranch & together they did not disappoint!!! Fiancé & I will forever get our dressing that way. I really like how they have seafood choices as a protein. To me, this is what sets them apart from other fast food places. It’s rare I find a place that offers real seafood in a salad & awesomely delicious dressing. I just hate that a small costed me $ 10, but I guess that’s not really thaaaat bad.

I went to this location for the first time today and was very pleased with the salad and soup I ordered. I LOVE that there are pick-up only parking spaces.

I have become addicted to Salata! So many options and a good filling meal. My review is solely based on the efficiency at this particular Salata. The people are friendly and the food is good but waiting 30 minutes plus in line is not cool. I’ve gone at multiple different times and it doesn’t matter, I will still be waiting about that long. One problem is honestly us(the customer), sometimes we take too long to decide and then order one salad for there and about 5 to go. I feel like the other problem is the staff, in that they just don’t keep it moving very quickly and some become a little too chatty. Don’t get me wrong I very much appreciate a friendly group of people but when I’ve been waiting in line for 20 minutes and your talking to the customer about how your ex girlfriend used to live in the same place as them, I get a little frustrated. Knowing that I can’t get through the line in a decent amount of time definitely deters me from coming here if I am in a time crunch.

I am a HUGE Salata fan. But this location is not up to par. None of the workers understood anything I was asking them. I almost had to shout to stop a worker from putting lemon vinegarette instead of herb, and she still looked a little confused. Another one tried to put my pine nuts on the salad behind mine 3 times. It took me and the lady behind me to explain which salad was mine. The salata mix was full of romaine, and the seafood mix had basically all krabmeat. I could have just got the krabmeat if that’s what I wanted. When I asked about it the worker just stared at me and said«you no wanted this one?» I had to just say nevermind because the conversation was obviously going nowhere. This makes me sad because I was so excited for this Katy location, but employees clearly need more training before serving customers.

Salata is basically a glamorized salad buffet where the employees have control over the food that goes on your plate rather than you, the customer. Other than the brown avocados, everything seemed fresh. I was very disappointed that they do not stock Sweet ‘n Low for the iced tea. So I will return next time and drink water.

* they ran out of salata mix and were slow enough to have had it refilled pretty quickly * I got pineapple in my salad when I said feta * I almost got balsamic dressing when I said ginger lime * no bread? no avocado? * the small here is significantly small I prefer the Sugar Land location.

The salads are delicious, since they are basically custom made from start to finish. BUT their prices are WAY too expensive for a regular sized caesar salad. Mine came out to $ 12 and I didn’t even add a avocado($ 1 extra) or a drink. There are so many other food options for $ 12-$ 15 range.

When my body begins to rebel against my stuffing it with cheeseburgers, pizza, donuts and fried chicken this is where I go. I used to go to the one on the Energy Corridor but it’s a little inconsistent and the staff are always different. Luckily this one is closer to home. I can’t comment on the staff or the amenities at this brand new location as I haven’t yet visited myself(I have an amazing wife). So this review will be for the food only. I ordered a large shrimp salad with all of my usual suspects; mixed lettuce, carrots, cucumber, broccoli, olives, feta, shrimp and many other additions mixed with avocado and buttermilk ranch dressing. The salad was huge. Bigger and even fresher than what I’m used to over at the Energy Corridor location. The server put the dressings on the side for take-out to avoid making the ingredients soggy. They also put the sesame sticks in a separate bag(I love sesame sticks). There is an option for bread but they never toasted it properly at Energy Corridor so it always just seemed stale. So many different flavours make this crunchy, creamy salad my favourite and it’s definitely the most delicious option for lunch or dinner when your body is crying out for something that isn’t deep fried. We will be here once every week, so maybe I’ll see you there. Thank you for coming to Katy!
