Sorry so late on this review.
Was in C. J’s a couple of weeks back and was getting really hungry so I asked for recommendations,
This place was one.
I’ve never had Columbian food before and was wondering if it might be too spicy, not so. This little place is great. I’m from S.E. Texas and do like things a little warm, but not overbearing, this place was spot on.
I got sidetracked and this review is a bit late… Sorry.
I’m amazed I still remember my visit so that alone should tell the story.
I love this place and will be back.

Great, friendly service, really good food. Not sure how it compares to authentic Columbian food but it is yummy. Been there twice. They have a few lunch specials. Bandeja Paisa plate is very good. Sausage was very tasty, slightly different unique flavor, and other meats are tender. Liked it so much, have had it twice. Tried the Lengua en Salsa lunch special the first time and it was very, very flavorful. Another time tried the Lomo de Cerdo Hawaiian, it was kind of a fried pork patty with some sauce and flavored rice. It was okay, preferred the Lengua.
The waitress that day had limited English, but was very nice and provided good service. The gentleman’s English was much better. Reasonably priced for lunch.

Wednesday lunch special lentil soup. I get excited when hump day rolls around. The rice is out of this world. Don’t even get me started on the Columbian green salsa stuff. Trust me on this one. I’m not too impressed with the rest of the lunch specials, but ask for the lentil soup special.

Based on earlier reviews we decided to give it a try. Cozy and clean place. The waitress was very helpful but spoke little English. We both had the Bandeja paisa. It looked good in the pictures and was very tasty. Very greasy with the sow belly and sausage. Overall an excellent experience.

This little place is so small but oh so good! Cute makes me feel at home! I had a the Cazuela de Mariscos and it was incredible the coconut to cream ratio was just right and the tostones where really really good also.

It was great. Bandeja paisa all the way for me. The service is very good, friendly. I will start coming here form my Colombian fix.

My 2^nd time having their food and it was amazing! I had the baby churrasco and let me tell you… It was better than any churrasco steak house I’ve had in Houston. The portion was also huge for being the smaller portion. The service was also excellent. A friendly and attentive gentleman waited on us. I will definitely be returning.

The atmosphere is comfortable and cozy. By me living in Texas I’ve had countless Mexican dishes and they all seemed the same.
This place is different though. From the music to the service, you can tell they take pride in their establishment. The first thing I took note of was the cleanliness. The presentation of the meals is also tight!
With a great selection I’m positive you could find something you’d enjoy.

Good food but poor service. Minus 5 stars. Tacaño. Muy muy muy tacaño. I ate the 2 years ago and was served the wrong item and i told the lady she gave me the wrong item. She knew she made a mistake. Instead she tried to bribe me into keeping it. I told her no because i ordered charrassco. She got pissed at me. They made what i wanted after I demanded. When they gave me my check she overcharged me for everything to make up what they lost. They charged me $ 6 for to free salsas. I pointed it out to her and she said she was going to charge me anyway. I asked for the owner she said he was in Colombia. I payed for my food excluding the $ 6 and tip for shitty service and left. I tried to reach out to the owner for a year and they never responded. Pitiful service. I wish the go out of business.

Buena comida, pero mal servicio. Minus 5 estrellas. Tacaño. Muy muy muy tacaño. Me comí hace los 2 años y se sirve el producto equivocado y me dijeron que la señora que me dio el artículo incorrecto. Sabía que cometió un error. En cambio, se trató de sobornar a mantenerla. Le dije que no porque yo pedí charrassco. Ella se enojó conmigo. Hicieron lo que quería después exigí. Cuando me dieron mi cheque que me cobraron por todo para compensar lo que perdieron. Me cobraron $ 6 para para salsas libres. Se lo señalé a ella y me dijo que me iba a cobrar de todos modos. Pedí el dueño me dijo que estaba en Colombia. Le había pagado por mi comida excluyendo los $ 6 y consejo para el servicio de mierda y se fue. Traté de llegar al propietario por un año y que nunca respondió. Lamentable servicio. Me gustaría que el ir a la quiebra.

Just ate here for lunch and it was wonderful! The lunch specials are so cheap but so good and filling. The baby churrasco plate was $ 8.95 and tender and very flavorful. We also got the bandeja paisa plate and it was a very good value. Heavy since its sausage, fried pork belly and skirt steak but how can I complain. The fried plaintains were sweet and delicious. We also enjoyed the empanadas which are made with corn so it’s super crispy and not flakey like other places. This place was cheap and delicious.

I love this place. When I want Colombian food this is where I go. Namely for the bandeja paisa. The food has always been good when I’ve been and it’s literally a minute drive away. The food is filling and the portions are pretty generous also.

When you come to La Olla, come hungry! I will save you some time, order the Bandeja Paisa plate (it isn’t a curse word, I promise :)). OMG DELICOUS!
Unfortunately I get so excited every time my Bandeja Paisa plate comes out I forget to take a picture. It is a plate with the following:
Rice, over easy egg, little flank steak, sausage, pork skin, corn patty, beans, fried plantains and beans. Yup, all of that for only $ 8.50…
I promise next time I go I will take a picture.
The food is good, the service is friendly. My only concern is the servers don’t speak english very well.

This is my first Colombian Food experience, but I loved it! The beans and rice are amazing, the chorizo was fantastic. Plantains served several different ways, amazing desserts. All I can say is that I’m a fan! The service is very good and friendly, the prices are just right for lunch. Yeah I hope to come back soon!

Best Columbian Food in Katy, TX. Plus, staff are cuties and attentive. Weekends are the best because of their fresh Sancocho!

We were excited to find a Colombian cuisine near our home but ended up being very disappointed. The service was extremely slow considering there were only 2 other tables. After finally receiving our food which took a good 25 – 30 mins, the food was just «eeehh». Needless to say we will not be returning to this place!
