Oh crap. Are you kidding me? You’re not? OMG?! That’s right, someone accident my locked the cat in the bedroom. No key? And the cat doesn’t have opposable thumbs to unlock and turn the doorknob? No worries, with my Unilocal App, I am powerful. Well indeed, these guys came out in less than :30 minutes on SuperBowl Sunday and did their magic to once again, reunite us with our beloved cat. While she wasn’t sure what all the fuss was about, I was sure glad I didn’t have to bust the door down! Our guy(I forgot his name) was professional and efficient. I highly recommend.

I called a different locksmith last week and he came and spent two hours trying to make me a key that didn’t even work, then he tried to tell me I had to replace all my locks and the ignition for a newer set because my truck was too old to make keys for $ 400.(It’s a ’95). I called Mario at Compass Safe and Lock and he answered me right away, he was at my apartment within the hour and managed to make me two working keys in less than 20 minutes for a fraction of what the other guy wanted to charge me.

I purchased a rental in the Houston area. The house had multiple keys. I called a local locksmith and was turned off by his demeanor and unprofessionalism on the phone. I just hung on the guy after being out in excessive hold a 3rd time. I called compass lock next and Mario answered. He was very professional and polite. He gave me a ball park figure and I agreed to have him come out. He replaced half the locks to match up all the keyways and rekeyed the other old locks. I now have 1 key that opens my entire house! Would use Mario again in a heart beat.

After having a horrible experience with a locksmith that charged 15 dollar trip fee and then tried to gouge me cause he thought I was stranded and would pay anything I got a wrecker and was referred by Houston Safe and Lock this morning to Compass Safe and Lock this morning. Mario was a very professional on the phone and helped me make sure I could afford his services. He arrived in a timely manner and charged me at 125 dollars to fix my ignition switch when the other locksmith wanted 295 dollars. He accepts major credit cards and so I was able to get another key made in to replace one that had become worn. He runs his own business and is just such an awesome young man. Very respectful and professional with reasonable prices!

I called compass about 20 mn ago about unlocking my truck. He said he would be there in 20 mn which I doubted bc of the rain but sure enough, he was there in about 15mn and had me back in my vehicle. Mario handled the job quickly and will be used any time I get in a bind

Made an appointment with Mario with Compass safe & lock the day before the scheduled appointment. He was friendly, on time and finished the job pretty quickly. We just purchased a house and had everything re-keyed. We will definitely be using him for all our future lock smith needs. Thanks Mario we really appreciate it. Michelle & Steve

Update: I got a recall on my car. You’ll never guess for what! Or perhaps you will. The ignition switch. You know the one that’s been all over the news, people dying because of ignition failure? Yes, THAT recall. It’s not the ignition lock my eye!(I’m sorry, it makes me mad all over again) About the only person we could find on a Sunday to come out to look at the ignition lock on my car. The guy was very insistent it probably wasn’t the lock but something in the steering column(without even looking at it first). Tho the first thing he did was break the driver side door lock and blamed it on a previous(allegedly shoddy) rekey job we’d had done on that lock. Did not know that you have to have the clutch depressed to try to start a manual. His proof(after he had looked at it) that it wasn’t the ignition lock was he cut a new key and the new key didn’t work either. Told him to forget it when he started talking about signing a waiver before doing the work. Thought it took chutzpah to ask us to sign a waiver saying we wouldn’t hold him responsible for any damage after he had already broken something. So basically I paid him $ 55 to break the driver’s side door lock. Update: had Houston Safe & Lock on Westheimer come out the next day. They were the people who did the original rekey work on my car. Guess what?! It was the ignition lock. Btw, the new key from above worked in the repaired ignition lock.
