If you don’t like smoky bars then I suggest you try somewhere else, otherwise read on. This is probably my favorite bar in Katy. There is free poker every night with payouts ranging from $ 50 to $ 200 depending on the number of players. If you’re a newbie this is a great place to test out your poker skills. The crowd is friendly and will happily answer your questions. Lots of parking. The bar is located in a strip mall next to a popular Mexican restaurant. I’ve never spent more than 30 seconds finding a spot. Drinks are cheap. They used to have $ 2 wells on Wednesdays, but I don’t know if that deal is still good. Lots to do. There is pool, poker, darts, beer pong, video poker, a jukebox, Buzztime trivia, karaōke, and live music. Plus the waitstaff is friendly and attentive. Diverse crowd. You’re likely to meet waiters, offshore rig workers, lawyers, students, authors… basically all walks of life from all ethnic groups.

The live band is great!!! The service is really great, BUT it is SO smokey it’s painful. If you are not a smoker, I would not recommend this place. Also, it’s definitely a guys night out place =-x I don’t think we will come back. The opposite of a high class place. Definitely a smokey«pool bar.»

We had fun playing darts, but the smoke smell is AWFUL!!! I had a hard time bearing the smell the entire time I was there. Even my phone case smelled like smoke when I got home! Aside from that, the band was great! The dart area was perfect for my group. They had 3 dart boards available and plenty of pool tables. Drinks were standard. Restrooms were actually pretty decent. Crowd was younger. I don’t plan on going back. The smell was too much. I walked out of there smelling like I smoked 18 packs!

It’s a smoky bar, but they had some nice looking pool tables and a ping pong beer table. They may have had darts, but not sure. If it was smoke free I would go back.

Weak drinks, overzealous security that ruins your fun and in your business all night. I won’t be coming back.

Wrote them a not so great review awhile back and a year later, I still agree. Its incredibly hard to get a drink at the bar here unless you tip $ 10 on every beer, and its still just way too loud. The staff is nice and the prices are good, but that’s the only reason I give them 3 stars. If you wanna go out with friends to a bar — unless you wanna hang out somewhere where its way to loud and everyone is way too drunk — go somewhere else.

I travel on business to this area and stay nearby. I’ve tried this place twice now. Once was a Wednesday, second was on a Monday. The first time we walked in, grabbed a seat and waited 15 minutes for waitstaff to acknowledge we exist. We were finally served, food was just okay and then the wait for our checks began. I decided to give this place a second chance. I thought the first night might have been a fluke, maybe they were short staffed that night. Same routine, I walked in, sat down… nothing…nothing…15 minutes later I stood up and walked out. Maybe they staff down during the weekdays, unfortunately it is to the point of no service at all.

Good drink and good atmosphere. I tune the noise out as much as I can in bars and focus on both people watching and conversation with friends and new friends. In Katy this is a much better bet than thatbar during the week if you actually wanna interact and be around people. It seems like there isn’t a night where the placed isn’t packed. There is a variety of things to do here such as billiards, beer pong, and poker. Every-time I have gone I’ve had a good time. It isn’t the nicest place in world but isn’t the worst. It’s a nice dive bar on the westside of town

Meh… when I entered I was wondering why there’s no people. Soon enough I found out why — 5 minutes to get bartenders’ attention(yeah, we aren’t the ones who shout and whistle) but I kinda figured being that ‘busy’ they d notice us sooner — no, they seemed to be too busy flirting. We were never offered a menu so another 5 mins to get a menu. I decided on wings only to be informed that kitchen was closed(it was 1 am and it said on the menu that they close at 1.30), after pointing that out bartender was like ‘ok I ll check’ and it turned out kitchen was open. So bartenders don’t know when kitchen closes or kitchen closes at random times? Either way it was confusing. Wings were less than good, very salty, but it’s ok, I didn’t expect much from bar food. It took forever to get another beer — seriously it just got ridiculous how they wouldn’t notice us and yeah we were sitting at the bar. They had no cover. Some band was playing. Well, it’s definitely not my new favorite. Such a waste of room. Owner should pay attention at the service… it was one of my worst bar experiences, and I won’t be back.

Me and my wife just moved to the area and checked this bar out for our first time. We loved everything about it but the smoke.

I love this bar. Great staff and Love their Karaōke! Tonya Rocks that stage and always helpful. You nervous to sing she will sing with you. Poker and Karaōke can’t go wrong. Great Specials to go along with all it :-) Tonya has a huge crowd that followers her so get their early to get a spot to sing.

I used to be a usual in this place, I loved it(who cares about the smoke?! It’s cheap beer and $ 5 for pool). About 3 months ago I went on a Thursday night and racked up 3 different tabs(kept closing them out ad re-opening them lol). The last one was $ 33, I tipped $ 6 and left. When the charged cleared into my account, the bartender has changed the tip to $ 33. I went back to speak to the owner, I was told he wasn’t there but that he could call me. He never did. Next time I went to the bar I asked to speak to him and the bartender that was serving me came out with the tip that was wrongfully charged. While the right thing was done I was surprised the owner wouldn’t come out, shake my hand and apologize(a simple thing that would show the customer that you give a sh*t and want him to return). Aside from that, the place is ok. I go wayyy less now but always enjoy myself. Last time I noticed prices went up, oh well. The one bad thing nowadays and be prepared. The bouncer takes his job WAYY to seriously, I’m 23 and look 26 and the guy checks and double checks my ID at least 20 times, puts it under the light and it annoys the crap out of me. The used to have a guy that didnt give a damn and now one that thinks he is saving the world. Go figure. 4 stars, make sure you tip and sign in big letters, and enjoy yourself.

Ive been here a few times over the years, the door guy is a little weird, you can smell the smoke from the parking lot. Great price on drinks. But for this Katy native, its a baaaaad high school reunion in there for me.

Went here Saturday night with a couple of friends. Big place for a big group to hangout. The downside is the smell. The odor of cigarettes and alcohol is so strong, it’s awful. Other than that great place to hang out with a huge crowd.

I have been coming here for awhile now on Fridays(love the different bands). The service is good, the staff are friendly and the drinks are cheap. They have a good setup as a local bar. There is something for everyone. Between sets the music is good and the bands are always entertaining(whether they are good or not). Sometimes the music is really loud, but that’s never bothered me. They also have some food to grub on. They have a beer pong table which I think should be redone(it’s a pool table with boards on top). And although I’ve never played it’s always being used. All in all a great little place and I will continue to hang out there.

On a whim, I met a date here to play free poker on a Monday night. Granted, my apprehensions were too numerous to count. I would be bluffing if I said they weren’t(yep, a little poker humor to up the ante… oh wait, there it goes again). First of all, it was little tricky to find this place. There was no clear signage and its tucked back in a shopping center behind a mexican restaurant. I arrived around 7:15 and poker started at 7:30. It seemed pretty dead and I wasn’t too sold on actually playing. I intended to attend as observer. A couple whiskey and cokes later and I decided to give it a whirl. All the players at our table were extremely friendly and understanding of my newbie status. Waitresses were very attentive, drinks were cheap, and the crowd was eclectic. As the night went on, the place began to fill up with a wide ranges of shapes, sizes, ages, and colors. Overall, diversity at its finest… at least compared to old Katy/Cinco where I normally drink. My biggest complaint was the smoke. Sorry, Bourbon Street but its as so bad I had to take off two stars. I sat next to a chain smoker and by the end of the game everyone at the table, except my friend and I had engaged in some amount of smoking. I wreaked of smoke when I left, which is a bit of a downside at the end of date. I can’t wait for Katy to outlaw smoking. When that happens, I think Bourbon Street and I can come to pleasant arrangement every Monday night.

A few years back I would recommend you skip this place but my opinion has changed. I recently been stopping by with friends and have been amazed of the upgrades they have added. New flat and projector screens, carpet, dance floor, lighting, and even though you still leave smelling like smoke its has improved. It has been modernized a bit and looking better every time. The beer and food prices are excellent. It hard to figure out the crowd because it changes. Expect older regulars at the poker tables, a younger crowd by the pool tables and music varies as well.

Do not go. The only bright side I can think of is that on Tuesdays they have $ 1.50 bottle beers all night long. Also, if you smoke, you can smoke indoors. They also have buzztime poker and trivia along with poker tournaments on Tuesdays. However, all of that is not worth the effort. The place stinks(I am a smoker, however this place goes beyond smokey — it just stinks, though the smoke smell doesn’t help I’m sure), the bartender is always overworked, the place is always empty, no music is ever playing and there are no waitresses. Most nights it is only one bartender, maybe two if it is a poker night or something, and unless you like hiking over to the bar and waiting for 10 minutes each time you want a refill, stay away. Such a shame. This place could be so much more. Perhaps it wouldn’t stink so bad if they actually vented the place out once a week?

No, thank you. Waaaay too smoky. I’ll admit I’m used to bars in cities where smoking indoors is illegal, so any smoke is too much for me, but in this case I was hacking and coughing within five minutes. No atmosphere whatsoever. No one was even feeding the jukebox. Poor lone bartender had four wells to work and a lot of area to cover, which translated to poor service, but I’ll blame the management for that one over the girl herself. $ 4 weak well drink(g&t), which wasn’t terrible but considering it probably didn’t even have a shot worth of liquor in it, I wasn’t impressed. Plastic cups. Uninteresting crowd that felt pretty sparse in such a huge space. No one was playing any of the games and only one pool table was in use. If you like to smoke and are tired of the other two or so bars in town, it’s probably worth a stop, but I can’t see any reason for me to bother again.
