First off, Café Blue is located in the Bankoh Bldg(building nearest to Chun Wah Kam). It’s on the 4th floor, with a great outdoor area to dine at overlooking IPA(Island Pacific Academy). Inside the café, there’s plenty of seating and also an area for vending machines. They always have a Soup of the Day, and I must say the Tofu Pork/Watercress soup is probably my favorite. Make sure though, for the Tofu Pork, you come early because sometimes it runs out fast. The phở is good too. They serve a few things. If you’re facing the cooking area — on your right there’s a area where they keep food cool — usually there’s salads, mac or potato salad, vegetables, and a lot of other healthy stuff. Glad they’re really promoting those kind of goods especially when you’re dieting! They also serve baked goods — it’s good to get it around 8:00 — 9:00am because it’s freshly baked in the morning. My favorites are the banana turnovers, butter mocha(they mix it with marshmallows for a more puffy/creamy taste) and the chocolate chip banana bread. For breakfast, you’re able to get omelets, eggs, bacon, Portuguese sausage, lup cheong, luncheon meat, and spam. My favorite breakfast food is the buttered toasts on the grill. I have no idea how I found this… BUTTHISTOASTISSOAMAZING and has so much buttery goodness in it that it puts Liliha’s butter rolls to shame. For lunch, they offer a wide variety of things. For the main meals, I would look online on the Bank of Hawaii Café Blue menu to see ahead about what they offer. Love the Hawaiian Food plates on Fridays, the quesadillas are great and I enjoy the pork adobo as well. The saimin is lacking — not as much flavor as the instant kind. And the burgers are good– get the mushroom burger, it tastes like the burgers at Sonic. Also, for the dessert, the tiramisu cake is so good! As well as the other cakes, but I could just eat the tiramisu and be satisfied. There isn’t much variety for desserts and they offer health options on the dessert side too — like jello and pudding. Most of the desserts are located in the fridge. The costs are average but I can see that the price has increased since they first started. The cafeteria is open to everyone — anyone can eat there. The staff is nice — or maybe because I’m a regular there? Haha. During breakfast and lunch, you might run into traffic though when you check out or ordering food — don’t forget that other companies are located in the same building too like HMSA, Bank of Hawaii, University of Phoenix and Ohana Health Plan. Make note of holidays as they are closed. The cafeteria is also closed on weekends and they do take card.

A nice change of pace in Kapolei, a cafeteria style eatery with a nice seating area. The food can be somewhat inconsistent at times but for the most part it’s fine. Their beef stew and turkey offerings are usually good. Their cornbread and brownies are delicious as well as other dessert offerings. A solid 3 stars!
