Truly a gem hidden atop the Bank of Hawaii’s building located on the 3rd floor. It’s accessible to the public. This place has some good grinds for some unbeatable prices. ENVIRONMENT Nothing fancy. Plenty of open air condition seating located inside. There is some outside overlooking Island Pacific Academy, Kapolei Library, the park, and all the way down to Barbers point. There are a couple flat screen tv’s to help pass time. There is enough room to even read a good book, study, or meet up with a buddy or 2 to catch up on old times. FOOD This place serves food made to order or you can pick and choose from what they are show casing that day. Great if you have a 30 minute break or you can even call in your order. This café serves all sorts of local dishes, healthy dishes(salad, vegetarian, sandwiches, etc), fast food type of food(burgers & fries), and desserts. They also server an assortment of drinks. From fountain drinks(coca cola products), bottled drinks, and STARBUCKS coffee. If you’re in the area, want some bang from your hard earned buck, and wanna leave satisfied you gotta give this place a try.

I have talked about how awesome the food here is and rightully so! Even if i work in the building, will probably be the only one to review this place AND is here every morning to get hot wah-wah for my green tea, I don’t eat here as much as I should. At the most(not counting their pastries and salads) 5 lunches out of the entire month. Mainly on days with katsu curry/chicken cutlet. Who of you out there loves roast pork as much as I do? Today I figured I’d break my fresh fruit and bagel monotony for the week and try their pig. Get back to the room and after opening my lunch, I noticed the skin wasn’t as crispy as I’m used to seeing. In fact, the cooked rind looked like a Band-Aid. I take a bite into a piece and after getting through some grains of rock salt and delicously flavored pork, it’s time to give the skin the«test». It was basically like chewing on a fleshy rubber band that just didn’t want to break down in my mouth. I ended up spitting the skin out, which to many is «taboo» when eating this preparation of swine. In fact… I’ve never reported spitting out any of my food before! You’d think the cook would get it right, being that he is «prum dehh Pilipines»! Even that A-Hole bourdain complemented us Pinoy for having the best roast pork he has ever eaten. We should have pride in this dish! In the past, I’ve spotted Flips driving around with«The Most Crunchiest Chicharon in Town» plastered on the side of their auto. Ai sos! Juan, my brown-skinned bretheren, as a man who has mastered making chicken skin cripsy to where I lisp, you have failed royals on your roasted pork skin. However, making that Filipino style onions, tomaters and patis into a salsa with the cilantro and lemon juice was clever. 2 stars for the chicharon at my favorite cafeteria on da Wess-side
