I LOVE this place! The staff is so sweet and the food was great. Acai bowls were perfectly prepared! THE café is just super cute too and yes, I felt like a happy hippie while enjoying my breakfast. I also ordered summer rolls to go, and they were huge and super tasty! You won’t be disapppointed if you decide to try this place. Seriously… JUSTGO! XO

I’m addicted to the salads and smoothies and cold brew coffee(they have there own cold press machine it’s huge and awesome to watch!). The I heart blueberry smoothie, and on a beach in Hawaii smoothie are to die for, and I love the garden salad(comes with a homemade vegan ranch), also, the acai bowls at hippie café are made with tambor acai which is a organic and LOCAL company, and the granola is homemade and gluten free! It’s really fun to customize your own acai bowl here too, they have a Not So Simple acai bowl option, where you can pick 3 additional toppings to your acai bowl that already has granola and a cut up banana on top. Baked goods are always made to perfect as well! Most all options are gluten free.

I love Hippie Café! I love that everything that they have is vegan and most of the baked goods are gluten free, which makes my tummy happy. :) The ambience is amazing here and I feel like I could sit out back for hours. It’s like I’m in a little oasis and the staff makes you feel so welcome. It’s like I was coming to a friend’s house. And even though I don’t drink coffee, their cold press coffee machine is so dope looking. It looks like ancient laboratory equipment. Lol! Oh and how can I forget the smoothies and acai bowls. My friend got the Not So Simple and I got the I Heart Blueberries smoothie. The acai bowl was so beautiful looking and tasted bomb with the peanut butter! That smoothie was also super yum! Blueberry creamilicious! I can’t wait to go back! I heart Hippie Café!

Hippie Café is my FAVORITE place for breakfast on Kauai. I absolutely LOVE their acai bowls. I always get the«Not so simple» because I love lots of toppings, and I also love to add the Hollan Hawaii vanilla protein for an extra nutrient boost. Their bowls are comparable in size and price to acai bowls at other places on island, and for all of those toppings, it’s a great value. The baked goods are to die for too(those chocolate chip cookies are the best ever, and it’s so hard to resist eating them at breakfast time)! All of the ingredients are of the highest quality, and organic whenever possible, which is really important to me. And it’s one of the only restaurants on the island that I can fully trust to use only non-gmo ingredients. I always feel good after I eat at Hippie Café. The atmosphere and the people rock too, so it’s always a fun place to eat and hang out!

My group came here for the breakfast acai bowls. We were all happy with the fresh items and flavors, no complaints there. Guy helping us was friendly and answered some touristy questions. The back patio is the cutest thing with bunches of seating areas, hanging lights, and this crazy colored rock/gravel. Only reason it didn’t get 5 stars from me is because of the crazy looking spiders and webs. However this is not my normal locale(I’m from CA) and I don’t like spiders period, but this actually freaked my whole group out and we left and took our food to go.

$ 10 for a pretty small acai bowl that in my opinion didn’t taste that great. The girl working was nice and friendly but the price was a bit much. I don’t mind $ 10 for an awesome acai bowl but this just wasn’t it for me.
