A wonderfully laid back vibe with talented stylists. After looking around KC, I finally found a salon with the expertise in blonde balayage and the service to accompany it. I highly recommend this salon and my stylist Taylen — plus it’s easy to get to with plenty of parking available. Make note though, only cash tips accepted! (They do have an ATM on site)

I have had two less than grand experiences with Studio 39. The first was a dermaplaning and eyebrow tint. The lady was lacking knowledge about both procedures. I asked her to please not make my eyebrows too dark because I have light brown hair and didn’t want a stark difference. Unfortunately, she made them as dark as one would eyelash tints. As for the dermaplaning itself she did an fine job clearing the peach fuzz, but instead of applying the light glycolic peel beforehand she put it on after the procedure and mildly burned portions of my cheeks. The second disappointing experience was when I scheduled a waxing appointment online and arrived for the treatment only to have them tell me it wasn’t in the books and I should not utilize their website to make appointments. If they want people to call for appointments then she should not have an online scheduling choice. Overall I felt like this was a novice spa/​salon organization and I wish everyone else better luck.

I love my new hairdo. Amy always does a great job on my hair, this last one is my favorite. She knows just what to do and always recommends the right look taking the time and attention to make her clients look fabulous!

Very cute high end salon with professional and very friendly staff! I’ve been quite a few times now and Alex never seems to disappoint, she has an eye and for what’s best and works her amazing talent on my hair each time!

It’s unique to find a salon with creative and talented stylists who are also down to earth and friendly but Studio 39 has them. The facility is very cool and makes you feel like you’ve gone to New York to get your hair done.

Coming from LA where it’s easy to find high quality hair stylist I was amazed that I could find something similar here in Kansas City. They have always treated me with respect and professional. The front desk is a little unfriendly but maybe it’s because they have stylist envy. For me the most important part is how my hair turns out. I have been coming here for a little over a year and I have always left with a great color and cut. I have difficult color to keep up so it’s important that my hair is treated with top quality talent and product.

My first experience at Studio 39 — well, I guess I felt there were a few problems. But, after my first review on Unilocal,I was contacted directly by the salon owner, Gemy. She wanted to apologize, but, more importantly to her, find out the details of why I felt I had a negative experience. She also extended an invitation for another visit. I am happy to say my experience was great and would definitely go back again. Her response to my review shows she cares about the customers and is technically capable (in other words, she is very good at what she does). I will definitely go back AND would recommend this salon to others. Salons like this are what make American small-​businesses the best at what they do.

That’s very bizarre coming from a salon owner that makes fake profiles to write her own good reveiws. Live and learn.

I was happy to hear from Gemy, salon owner after my first review on the salon. She invited me to come back in for a second visit for a better experience. She let me know the stylist that did my hair was no longer there and that she would be happy to personally assist me. Giving 5 stars for Gemy’s quick efforts to satisfy her customers, have yet to come back but looking forward to it!

Wonderful salon with easy to get to location. Very friendly & knowledgeable staff along with top line products. I can always count on Amy to do a top notch job on my hair!

Wonderful Salon! Megan did an amazing job on cut and color (blond highlight & lowlight), Ashley did a great blow out, and I’m looking forward to my facial with Amy.
