This is a strip mall Chinese kitchen, 10 small tables, no table service, you order at the counter and most carry out the service is efficient, the food good, and price is right. I recommend for Cary out not eat in, some have described as clean ‚? I guess it’s in the eye of the beholder. I come often for Szechustyle beef ! Very good, lots of veggies and flavor.

Tried this place for the first time. The price is good, the staff was nice, nothing was over cooked waiting on other food. It was ready when we went to pick it up. It was exactly what I expected, didn’t order and get something weird. The downtown is the food had no flavor and that makes it so we won’t go here again. It was worse than something not worth talking about.

Finding good Chinese in KC has not been easy, but this place fits the bill. Reasonable prices, good food made fresh then and there. Superb pork fried rice and crab rangoon. The General Tso’s chicken is great, and the boneless spare ribs are outstanding! One of my favorite haunts in the northland. Please message me about any other great Chinese in the KC metro!

Ming Garden is great if you are in the mood for some cheap, greasy spoon Chinese food! It is definitely not everyone’s cup of tea. My fiancée isn’t a fan. However, I just adore their chicken and broccoli! I definitely recommend it! As of right now, there is no delivery service, which is a bummer. I have eaten in the restaurant a few times, but I don’t recommend it. The booths are in some disrepair.

I’ve eaten here several times and want to like it, however, it is about as average as it gets. The good: Food is served hot, decent taste, Hot and sour soup was good, Genral Tso’s was good, people were nice. The Bad: It was 87 degrees in this place the other day. They keep it so hot in here. The Kung Pao chicken was terrible. Everything is served on cheap plastic. So, if you are ordering out, it’s probably ok. Cheap, Hot, Quick. Don’t dine in.

This is a great little place that is quick and inexpensive. It’s not gourmet but the food is good and the service is fast! It’s a good little go to spot of your in the area.

I’d give it 3.5 if I could. This is our ‘go to’ place for chinese food in the Northland. The people there are really nice and you get your food fast. Pretty much tastes the same to me as other chinese places though. The restaurant is clean though… saw roaches in the Red Dragon restaurant that is downtown! I like their hot and sour soup and General Tso’s Chicken. Plus they are always happy to make changes to standard dishes… my husband doesn’t like green peppers so on one of the meals they leave out the green peppers and add broccoli instead. $ 5 minimum order for credit cards

They have a great lunch special for around 5 bucks. Their food is good compared to most Chinese places.

When it comes to Chinese, I like mine piping hot and waiting from a buffet line. But for Ming Garden, I make an exception. This little place is humble and quiet but packs the punch when it comes to portion and flavor. Their crab rangoons are by far my favorite in town — slightly sweet and so awesome, they’re even good when they’re cold! My favorites here are the sweet and sour chicken and the sesame chicken with plain white rice as I’ve never been a fried rice fan. I’ve tried other items, but these two have always been my go-to order. The service is pretty basic, kind of what you’d expect for a Chinese restaurant, nothing over the top, but they get the job done and they do it quickly — which is definitely a plus when I’m ordering on my work break. Over all, Ming Garden is a good place when you’re in a rush to get back to work or feed the family. Good food, decent prices, and your order is usually ready in about 10 – 15 minutes. Be sure and call in your order so that it’s ready when you get there!

Although I have seen lower ratings for this place, I think that this is one of the better places you can get Chinese food. Genral Tso’s Chicken is really good, and the crab rangoon is wonderful. I love that fact that this place is clean. The food is a great price for the amount you get, especially if you get the lunch time combos! For fried rice, and main meat/seafood, crab rangoon or eggroll is any where from 6 – 8 dollars. The chicken product have never been overcooked, and I like that everything is made to order. I can see into the kitchen and see how they are making my food. I’ve seen them take orders on the phone, and have start making it five minutes before the person comes in, and it’s fresh and hot right when the person comes to get it. I love that I can take it home and it’s still steaming hot… sometimes to the point of still being too hot to eat. I do enjoy this place, however it would probably be considered average to most people.

Ordered shrimp fried rice and the shrimp was spoiled. Tasted and smelled like ammonia! They refused to refund my money. Stay away!

The restaurant was clean –ANEMPTY at 530 on a Sunday night. First time there. The Beef Fried Rice was Bland as could be. I also had shrimp and a friend had Orange Chicken. The sauce on the Orange Chicken was OK and the chicken wasnt overcooked. This is what I consider standard strip mall ASIANFOOD. Again it was just very bland with little flavor. The Owners were Very Nice, and very quick with the meal. I’ll try it again just to see if it was an off night. If you like bland this will sit ok with you then. If you want a little spice in your life well add a bunch of sauce or go elsewhere.

I was pretty stoked when this place opened because I used to live right up the hill in the ghetto behind Target. I need a chinese food fix pretty frequently so I visited this place a few times a month for long time. Long time after I decide it no good, I still go here! Everyone always complains about how all chinese food places taste the same and all the food at one place tastes the same, and what’s the deal with the poopoo platter? Well, this place for damn sure is one of those damn places. It’s all the same. The fried chicken chunks they use for the sesame chicken are the same as the fried chicken chunks used for the sweet and sour chicken which are the same as the fried chicken chunks used for the orange chicken. How about the General Tso’s Chicken fried chicken chunks? Same. Most of the brown sauces are pretty oily, the fried rice is extremely oily, and none of the dishes seem to reheat very well. The biggest bummer is their crab rangoon. It’s terrible. And it’s not even crab rangoon, it’s cheese wontons or whatever. Sugared cream cheese in a way too thick wonton. But I still kept eating them. The place is clean and the guys that worked there are obviously family and very friendly to customers as they wait. One of them perhaps a bit too friendly? Not creepy-friendly, just really really damn glad to see you. Know what I mean? They have pretty good deals and as previously mentioned, sweet take home containers, TOBERE-PURPOSED for any number of home improvement or arts and crafts projects. The hippy in you will cringe at the amount of plastic being thrown around here. Bön Appetit!

One of the better Chinese«fast food» place north of the river. Restaurant is setup in a Subway size storefront(coincidentally, there is a Subway nearby). Kitchen is wide open, so if you stand in front of the cashier counter, you can witness all the«actions». After you place your order, they stir fry the ingredients then serve to you. The portion is okay and it’s not like supermarket or some other Chinese fast food places where stale food sitting in the warmer for 5 hours. If you dine in, they will bring the food to your table, but everything else(such as drink and utensil) are self-serve. Booth sitting, at most 4 people can sit together.

Hands down my favorite lunchtime stop. Orange chicken lunch special or sesame chicken lunch special, either one will draw a smile to my face and stand my stomach up applauding. For under $ 5 you too can enjoy a hot meal of stir-fried rice and sauce covered fried chicken. I haven’t even mentioned what makes Ming Garden great. Every meal is served in a to-go dish. This dish acts as a plate for the duration of your meal and once finished can similarly act as a to-go carrier. Just grab a cover from the counter and you’re ready to go. This reusable dish and cover is both microwave and dishwasher safe, coming at no extra cost. Meal and kitchenware, bless those at Ming Garden, bless them.
