I paint mandalas on rocks and happen to live in Kansas City where there’s no ocean to bring in rocks from the sweeping tide. Therefore it was either pay the astronomical price to order from a landscaping company online, or pay the exuberant price to order from Etsy. Until I heard about House of Rocks. I called House of Rocks after I heard about them. They do allow for people to go to the back and select from rocks. They have piles of cobblestones, which is what i wanted. The prices are affordable, and the staff amazing. I selected 20 rocks, and was shocked at the price. I will be back for 20 more after I paint these. I might even buy black Mexican pebbles cause they have those. Inside there’s a few crystals from Arkansas, but this isn’t a crystal shop. They are worth looking at, absolutely gorgeous. House of Rocks is in an excellent location, just minutes from the monolithic Ikea. I literally thought I couldn’t start painting rock mandalas due to none available, but now I know for sure I can. It totally opened up a door for me. I’m also interested in the large boulders for the landscaping in front of our house. I’ll be back. What a great place!

We were doing a very small landscaping project in our front yard and needed some retaining wall stone. Tired of the usual offerings at Home Depot and Lowe’s we decided to check out House of Rocks. Their website was very helpful and had accurate photos. Still wanting to see the stones in person to get a better idea of the color I stopped by one day after work and they were happy to give me a couple samples to take home. We found one we liked and had them delivered a few days later. They even called to verify the address as well as the location I wanted them. This place is geared more for the commercial landscaping contractors but as a DIY homeowner they never made me feel like I was stupid or not worth their time. They even double checked my estimated quantity. Rock solid customer service!
