I have to say the food here is fine but I’ve never quite understood the hype around it. I’ve been here a handful of times in the past and the burgers were always fine, but they don’t hold a candle to several other burgers in the area. I’ve even heard some people say they’re better than In & Out or Shake Shack and that seems downright silly. I will confess that sometimes the hype of something can lead to a letdown, and that could be in full effect here. Fries were okay, a little overcooked but still tasted alright. I do kind of like the peanuts when you walk in because I love shelled, salted peanuts, but I’m not exactly sure why they’re there. It’s strange. All in all it’s a fine place to grab a burger but not one that’s in my regular rotation.

I do not understand the appeal of Five Guys Burgers. The food is greasy, the employees are indifferent, and the place is a mess. Best part of my recent visit was watching a customer stand up from the back of the dining area when his order number was called and seeing him freak out and run towards the counter pretending like he’d just been called to bidders’ row on The Price is Right. It was all downhill after that.

This location is great! Folks at the counter and at the grill are always enthusiastic and friendly. Service is quick… even a long line during the lunch rush moves quickly. Of course, Five Guys is great, in general, but this crew does it right. They also have one of the newer Soda dispensers(with touch screen) so there are a wide variety of beverage choices.

Overwhelmingly greasy. It seems like everything’s lack of flavor is made up for with an enormous size. The peanut oil fries aren’t especially great. Nothing positive to say.

Ummmm… Yes please!!! Their burgers are amazing!!! And so are their fries, sooooo gooood!!! Whenever I’m at Wardparkway Mall, I have to stop here to get a burger!!! It’s nothing fancy about this place, it’s truly a burger joint, so stop in with your family, friends, boyfriend or girlfriend and get a burger and some fries eat, talk, laugh and enjoy!

Family favorite. This particular location is well staffed with friendly people. Portions are too much but delicious. Whatever size of fries you are thinking about ordering… take it down a size because you will still have enough for two!

I go here for lunch all the time! It is absolutely delicious. I love that their fries are fried in peanut oil, you can definitely taste the difference. And they give you SO many, that I can never finish them all! I wish they offered ranch as a side, but they are delicious without it, too. The burgers are heaven, and I thought I could tackle a regular, but learned to get a small the second time because I couldn’t finish it all. Overall, a great place with delicious food, and good hospitality too. I will always come back here!

Seriously good old fashioned greesy burgers… loaded with fresh toppings and plenty of delicious extras. They skimp on nothing. Huge orders of delicious fries. I hate dry tasteless hockey puck burgers… you will never get that here. All hot and juicy and made to order. I love this place…

The burgers here are seriously good. They’re really fresh and cooked when you order, and I love how you can add any toppings you want, most for no additional charge. They’ve got a huge selection of toppings. They have ‘regular’ and ‘little burgers,’ but it just means 1 patty versus 2. The ‘little’ burger with 1 patty is still huge and very filling. The fries are really good– they’re the kind with skins on– quite crispy and salty. The ‘large’ order feeds 3 or 4 people quite easily. There’s one of those fun Coke machines with a gazillion choices, and an iced tea machine too. It’s not a health food place, but it’s fun and a good value. It makes my whole family happy.

I am thankful they offer a small cheeseburger cause I never go without eating all the french fries! I sometimes don’t have time to eat the peanuts before getting my meal but that keeps me from over stuffing myself. This store always has friendly help and I like seeing all the patrons who come in as I love to watch people as well. Better as a lunch stop than a dinner stop. I will keep going back.

I’m not usually a burger person, but I really like Five Guys. I usually get the«Little Cheeseburger» which is plenty for me, because the regular size is HUGE. You can choose from many topping for free, which is a big plus. This particular location is in the Ward Parkway shopping center on a corner. The workers were nice, and the food comes out relatively quickly. The quality for the price here is very good. It is a little more expensive than places like McDonald’s, but it is much tastier.

So, I pigged out again and I didn’t even out out! My friends brought my my birthday meal. They know what I like. It isn’t a place like fine dining which I enjoy as well. With Five Guys, I KNOW I get the cheeseburger, the fries and the drink. It is the same as a drive though but Five Guys is better and I get more fries. I love the peanuts. If you want fine dining, call me. I know a few places to go but they are pretty pricey. I just go for the sitting and enjoying my food and I still have some left to take home. It is noisy and I tell the folks that I am hard-of-hearing and they respect that. They even bring me my meal. As for others who don’t like Five Guys, I don’t care if they have the love me, love my burgers. They have a right to do that. Loud music, now I think they could turn it down a bit. The make more than enough fries and I can take some home for a snack. Cat loves it too which he shouldn’t try to steal. When HE steals the fries, the fries are worthy! Got a problem? Deal with it! I enjoy the food and I love it better than the other one down at the other end of the mall! I always have good service! They even ask me if I need help because of my walker. I don’t need it but I love their service! Thank you, folks and get out there and enjoy your Five Guys meal!

As a first time visitor to 5 Guys, I was somewhat ok on the experience, although it really didn’t blow me away. The décor is an in-your-face-screaming-out-loud display of their extremely high opinion of themselves. The place is just filled with huge red and white signs with quotes from various sources where their restaurants are located. Some of them are very old quotes making me think they they haven’t had a ton of really good press lately. The restaurant is pretty noisy. The ordering process consists of patrons waiting in line at a cash register to place their orders and then waiting(and waiting and waiting) for their number to be yelled out at the top of the lungs by some poor person who works in their kitchen. Most of the tables were dirty when we were there, but we were able to find a table near the windows that wasn’t too frightening. Having never been to 5 Guys before, we didn’t know how big the burgers or fries were. When I asked the young lady working the register how big the large fries were, she gave me quite a nasty glare and just rung up the large fries, anyway. I probably should have complained about her behavior(my hubby thought it was out of line as well) and asked her to please answer my question, but I just ignored it rather than raising a stink. My bad. We got WAAAYYYYY too many fries and ended up throwing more than half of them away. Incredibly wasteful. The burgers are decent. The regular burgers are actually double burgers and have a lot of meat. The menu says they cook them well done and they do indeed. They were a little overcooked and over-dry for me, but to each his own. I do like that they offer lots of toppings and there’s not an upcharge for them. I love jalapenos on burgers and ordered them on mine. Unfortunately, I only got a couple of tiny slices of jalapeño and probably would have enjoyed my burger more with more jalapeño. When we were there, they were out of pickles. Because who cares about pickles on burgers, right? If these really were fast food burgers, I’d probably bump them up a bit on the rating. If you compare these to McDonald’s or Burger King, they’re much much better. But the service sucks, the burgers come out very slowly(hence NOT fast food), you have to wait on yourself and they’re just decent burgers. Considering what we paid at 5 Guys, we could have eaten at a full-service burger place for only a few bucks more and we would have enjoyed a far superior meal and service.

Much like a steakhouse you walk in and are greeted by a barrel of peanuts to hold you over for the next 10 minutes while they prepare a huge slab of meat, and some wonderful greasy french fries. This slab of meat is quite large, even for a single hamburger. All toppings are free, and there are more than you could imagine. The small portion of fries is enough to feed a small family, and the large portion is a bag(enough to feed several small families). The fries won’t be the best you’ve ever had, but they’re still pretty good. If you are looking for a nice burger, or to just overdose on grease, this place is a must.

So 5 guys used to be a treat… Now they are everywhere. They do have a great burger filled with free toppings and calories piled onto 1 or 2 patties of america’s real past time… Beef. They are known however for their fries… They overpour their fries usually a second«cup» in addition to your order. I’ve been to at least 6 different locations and this is the only location that has not given the usual portion of fries. So when you plan to share fries between 2 people because you know it’s going to be a HUGE order… Don’t! SMH @ this location

Okay, if you’re going to «treat yourself» to a burger and fries, it may as well be the good, old fashioned greasy kind; that is just what they serve at Five Guys! The menu is simple: burgers, fries, an all beef hot dog or a grilled cheese. Obviously you come here for the burger. We were encouraged to get the«burger,» which is actually a double burger. Next time I’d go for the«little burger,» which is actually a single, and will still put you into a food coma, I’m sure. My only suggestion is that you have time for a long nap after your meal, cuz that is all that you will feel like doing! The euphoria of a greasy burger and fries is soon followed by the need to sleep it off!!!

Who doesn’t want Five Guys in their mouth? I get mine with everything, add a small fry. BTW a small fry feeds a small army. I’ve never ordered a large fry because I’m not bulimic. I do have a peanut allergy which isn’t an accepted disorder here. They have open bins of peanuts every where. I wear a medical mask with a picture of Fat Albert when I eat here. Some like to make comparisons between 5 guys and In and out. It’s apple and oranges… if you consider a hamburger a fruit.

As far as I’m concerned there’s nothing particularly great nor bad about this place. Pretty much okay, I suppose. The burgers are good enough for a mid-range fast food burger, but a little too pricey. The fries are delicious at first but quickly become sickening. Hint: don’t order yourself a large fries… you’ll get WAY too many. With that said, Five Guys is fine, but as far as I am concerned there are better options for a cheaper burger or better burgers out there for the prices they charge.

I was making my monthly pilgrimage to Trader Joes, forgetting it was tax free weekend… After I finished grocery shopping, I begrudgingly drove around the very crowded parking lot, to Five Guys on the opposite side of the mall. The mall is usually quite sullen. Somehow, a spot turned up, infront of Five Guys. I like five Guys, I think they are really good. I’m not certain but this location seemed to cost more than the other location I visited a couple of weeks ago. I swear it did. I’m not imagining. It wasn’t crowded, oddly, it was about 12:30. I was helped, but the employee appeared tired, geez she probably was considering. I recieved a number, and noticed the tables weren’t as clean as they could be. And the cooks didn’t have the team work I’ve noticed. My order was fine. I got it, and looked in the bag to make sure the cheeseburgers were plain. The cashier said, «Did we forget anything?» I said, «No, I was checking to make sure the cheeseburgers were plain.» They were, and I left. Got home, and everything was fine. The fries were a bit soft, not crisp. I don’t recall Five Guy fries being soft. This Five Guys kind of seemed not a happy as other locations. But it could’ve been due to it being tax free days. It’s certainly as far for me to drive here, as it is to the Lee’s Summit location. I prefer the other locations. Or better yet, build one in Independence!

I still don’t get it. I tried this location to see if I just wasn’t visiting the right place. Nope. I’m not saying that is wasn’t a decent burger… but what is this hype? Everyone swoons and wets their pants when this place gets mentioned. I got the cajun fries only to discover they are the regular fries that get a light coating of cajun seasoning right before they hit the bag. No special cooking process… just a different salting. I don’t dig their fries. They are limp and mushy. I would recommend skipping the fries(save yourself about 3 bucks) and eating the free peanuts. If you have to have them, just buy one order and share… with EVERYONE. The burger must be a double or you will be really disappointed. The double is about the size of regular burger. They do wrap the burger in foil and that makes the cheese extra melty and the bun soft. Ok for a buger fix, but not outstanding. PSPRICEY(5.39 for a double«regular» cheesebuger) and they don’t offer combos.
