Five Below is a place for killing time and picking up some unusual candy, a past season cookbook or a hilarious tee shirt! Located in an area heavy with pedestrian traffic, it’s easy to find as its situated between Target and a Home Depot store. The kids demand a walk thru every time we’re nearby. It’s like a plastic rainbow explosion upon walking in the door. Gadgets, trinkets, knick knacks, an assortment of dozens of foam and blow up balls and pool toys plus candy galore, cheap and simple electronics and a huge tee shirt section to name just a few items. I’m not one to buy a lot of cheap stuff, but it is fun if you need inexpensive items for, say a pool party… donut or pizza shaped blow up pool floatie… check! Everything is indeed $ 5 and under. Some items are priced at $ 3 and you could get it elsewhere for $ 2 but that’s the gimmick of these dollar type stores. Every time I’ve stopped in here, there are a lot of people buying both useful and useless items. Tonight it was just a candy bar for me. I’m not in need of a donut shaped blow up toy. Maybe next week!

Picture this: IKEA and Target mixed together with the convenience of a dollar store. Not even a plausible thing, right? Wrong. Five Below is the answer. This is literally the crown jewel of dollar stores. Everything from candy to hammocks to electronics, this place will definitely knock your socks off(and save you a few bucks). Browsing the aisles in this tanglement of bewildering complexity will definitely throw you for a loop, but will also cure you of buyer’s remorse. Here’s a pros and cons list: Pros: 1. Very clean, welcoming, family environment. You won’t get lost in junky clutter. 2. Absolutely nothing is over $ 5. 3. This store has entire sections dedicated to: Seasonal, pillows, duck tape and art supplies. 4. The staff was extremely friendly, only slightly scary. Cons: 1. The aisles are just a tad bit tight. Only one cart is goin’ down this lane, sister. 2. There are items here that are not worth buying. Things like folding chairs, collapsible ottomans, and stripper umbrellas. 3. This is a very limited store, keep in mind, this is a dollar store. There are no ‘large’ items here. I think the biggest thing I saw a foam boogie board. You will probably find about 10 things on your first visit here that you MUST have. Will I be back? Probably just on my break every day for the rest of my life. See you there!
