This place is great for buying silver jewelry. Also great for creating gold designs but not so good with repairs or customer service. I got a anklet repaired and it broke twice! My moms gold bracelet was repaired using silver. Thus later breaking in the spot repaired and unfortunately they were unwilling to correct the issue. I own some beautiful gold earrings that my initials were added to however the design on it is now bent as well. We likely won’t be back due to the most recent customer service received after repairs were unsatisfactory. We’d rather pay our normal jeweler a few more bucks to get things done right the first time.

This is a jewelry shop located in the city market. The owners were very friendly and helpful, and persuasive without being pushy. The shop consisted mostly of handmade silver pieces, including rings, pendants, and earrings. My favorites were the pendants, which were hand-crafted from beautiful stones of various colors. It is relatively expensive, but probably reasonable considering the cost of silver. My biggest qualm is that the prices are a little misleading because they only include the pendant, and you have to buy a chain separate, which I thought were a little over-priced. I bought a beautiful blueish green stone pendant(priced at $ 60) and a chain that was around $ 30. The total was around $ 80, after a few discounts that the lovely owners gave me. So, as a perpetually broke college student, it was more than I usually pay for jewelry, but I really love my necklace and it is more unique than most pieces I own. I will definitely be back for gifts.

So, I wanted to go to City Market Watch and Jewelry because it gets so many good reviews on Unilocal, but they keep their hours a mystery. Not listed on website, not left on answering machine, not posted on the store. The hours listed on Unilocal shows it opens at 9:00am on Sundays. So I went and it wasn’t open. I started shopping next door at Dalia’s to kill time and found they could do everything I needed. They changed three batteries, cleaned a ring, and sized a ring. The batteries and cleaning cost me $ 5 each, and the sizing was $ 10. It was done in 30 minutes. One of the owners is from Taxco, a silver mining town in Mexico. The jewelry is mostly from Taxco, is beautiful, and I had to resist the urge to buy more. They also have other crafts and wall décor from Mexico. If you love everything Mexican as I do, you’ll love this little shop. Both the people working behind the counter were very chatty and personable.
