Fairly typical Americanized Chinese in most ways. The food is always fresh and portion sizes more than fair. The service has always been excellent. One way China Wok kind of stands out above others is the extensive menu. Loads of options to choose from. I highly recommend the pressed duck. Very crispy and delicious.

Tried this location based on reviews and proximity to hotel. Tried the following: Beef and broccoli: 3 stars. Tasted fine and fresh. The white rice is stickier than I prefer, but meal was filling. Steamed dumplings: 4 stars. Big and plump. This is probably the standout item for me here. I’d almost prefer to do a double order than go with another main dish. Ribs: 2 stars. Dry and burnt. Kung bao beef: 2 stars. Meh. Bland. I wouldn’t order this dish again as it really didn’t hit the spot. Wasn’t very spicy and seemed very heavy on the celery. All in all, would come back the next time in town and in a pinch. If staying in town longer, would branch out and try another location for comparison. But still think of the steamed dumplings!

Good food, the friendliest service. Steamed dumplings are super and the best egg foo young I’ve ever had.

Just ordered delivery. Was quoted an hour delivery time but it actually took about 30 minutes. Pretty good considering the downpour happening outside at the moment. I ordered the combination fried rice, chicken with vegetables, hot and sour soup, and ma po tofu. Omg! The combination fried rice is the best I’ve had in town. It has great flavor! I usually find many Chinese joints to have very bland fried rice. Wow, not true here. The chicken and vegetables were a little bland but tasted fresh. The ma po tofu was ok. I think po’s dumpling has better. The hot and sour soup has good flavor, but very typical. Im definitely going to try this again, especially for the fried rice! For everything it ran around $ 31 including delivery fee. It seems pricey for Chinese, but the portions are big and it was delivered to my door.

We order from here nearly on a weekly basis and it is our favorite in the Northland. Excellent food, without exception, and we have never had an error with any of our orders.

The best places always seem to in strip malls! Great service and clean. All of the food was excellent. I had egg drop soup and beef with string beans. My husband had hot and sour soup with double fried pork. Nicely decorated too.

How do you mess up wonton soup??? Terrible chinese food. They actually served my «shrimp tempura» with ketchup. It was more like microwave fried shrimp. The mongolian beef was just a bunch of sliced onions with a few slices of beef hidden within. The one thing I could stand to choke down without wincing and apologizing to my poor stomach was the chicken chow mein. Below average at best. YUCK!

SOGOOD! I had the best service experience I’ve had in a long time. Staff is very attentive, refilling drinks and checking in throughout your visit. The food was exceptional. Not only was it delicious, but the portions are out of this world. I’m looking forward to my leftovers. Would definitely recommend and I will for sure be back.

This is most definitely my favorite place to order chinese food from. When I go to eat there the people are always so friendly. When I order it to be delivered they are always quick to deliver. I’ve never had to wait more than 30 to 45 minutes for them to deliver it. Most other places take an hour or two to deliver and it is usually cold. This place is always fast and the food is always fresh.

Sitting at the«hotel bar» looking over a tired and uneventful menu, I went to Unilocal and looked for something in the area that delivered. Came across China Wok, and saw a lot of good reviews coming from my fellow foodies. Done! Ordered up some Hunan Beef(great pic on Unilocal and food looks just like it) to get some spice in my life… did NOT disappoint! Delivery guy very nice. Hunan beef was fresh and spicy… rice was made fresh to order and was very good! Thx

This is the place we order from when we want Chinese delivery. Has great dumplings and I enjoy the combo meals.

If you want Chinese delivery for lunch near Zona Rosa, this is your place. You get a main entrée, rice, soup, and either egg rolls or crab rangoon. The good has always been hot and cooked well. I always rate my Chinese food on how they cook the broccoli and they cook it perfectly; with a little crunch left. Quantity, quality, and fast delivery. Aces.

Wow this place is a hidden gem! I ordered Kung Bao Chicken and Hunan Beef and I am impressed! The vegetables were so fresh and crunchy. It was really enjoyable experience. I come from Los Angeles and this place is the best Chinese food I ever had!

The Kung pao chicken had no flavor. The lo mein was beyond salty and just wasn’t made correctly. The only thing I could eat was the crab rangoons and the won ton soup. Everything else is inedible. I’m not sure why this place has 4 stars. They need to change their recipes and quality of food! Delivery was a 2.50 surcharge. :(

This was really substandard Chinese food. I got the shrimp lo mein and the General Tso’s chicken. I was disappointed that there was basically no veggies in either of the dishes. The lo mein was just noodles and like 4 shrimp. The spring rolls were just greasy. And there was something off about all of it because my stomach hurt after eating it. I would skip again. At least it was delivered quickly.

I haven’t been here in a long time and we were in a hurry to eat as we had to be somewhere in 45 minutes. Our options were Pancheros next door or China Wok. My son and I chose China Wok and the others went next door. I quickly scanned the menu. We ordered a couple of ice waters, won ton soup, hot and sour soup, order of(2) Spring rolls, and Hunan Beef(hot and spicy with mixed vegetables). Our waiter was busy bustling between tables the entire time we were there. I think he was the only one! Our waters were constantly refilled, as he joked around with other tables, smiled and greeted the regulars. Man this guy was a fantastic waiter! You can tell he has a lot of regular customers as he openly visited while he worked. We had our meal and were done in less than 35 minutes. Tab for both of us was $ 16 and some change. Left our $ 5 tip and dashed out the door. Fast service, friendly atmosphere, good food and very affordable! We met up with the rest of our family. They were still hungry after eating next door. :(But I was happy and full! :)

Told my wife. I’m rolling the dice tonight and getting something I’ve never had, well… I crapped out on my choice… see below China wok tonight is 4 stars, usually 5, but my Chinese meal choice tonight was not my favorite. Our family ordered spring rolls, cho cho chicken appetizer, 2 orders of honey chickens, shrimp Lo mein noodles, and a seafood volcano. Everything was very good as usual, and I joked with my kids about their healthy choice, honey chicken. Deep fried chicken pieces smothered in a super sweet honey glaze sauce, that is very good, but minus any vegetables. I put my parent of the year award away with that dish. Anyway, I ordered the seafood volcano, which I was excited to try, but sadly it was flavorless… we’ve order from here several times and it’s always very good, but this dish which had shrimp, crab sticks, scallops, and lots of vegetables… all the ingredients for a great meal, but it just did not have any flavor. Not sure if it was prepared incorrectly, but we’ll be going back… I’ll just grab a different dish… Thank good my fortune cookie saved the day…“you will find happiness with each new day”…gotta like that…

Meat and soup was fantastic! Food was delivered and arrived before promised. Only 3 stars because it was very obvious that the Crab Rangoon had been sitting for a LONG time, they were stale. And no duck sauce or plasticware provided. I typically judge a Chinese place by the crab Rangoon, so this was very disappointing. However, meat and soup was good.

In North KC for a kid sporting event. This and pizza were my only delivery options. Wish I had gone with that. The egg role was horrible. Egg drop soup was fine. Fried rice and chicken fried rice were dried out and the sweat and sour chicken was not great. I say skip it

This review is based on two delivery orders. I haven’t been into the actual restaurant. Now that I work near KCI(Actually MCI, but that’s a story for another day), I am getting used to the places that deliver to my place of work. China Wok is one of them. The first delivery I got from them was Crispy Duck, Shrimp Lo Mein, Steamed Dumplings. The Lomein was good, although they used what appeared to be angel hair pasta instead of the Asian noodle varieties commonly used. The dumplings were steamed to perfection. The Crispy Duck was way more than I thought. It had to be a complete duck and it was only $ 10.95! Other than it being a little on the dry side, it was very tasty. The second delivery experience unfortunately has left me doubting ever wanting to use them again. This trip we ordered Beef Imperial and Seafood Volcano. I asked to substitute noodles for rice and the guy said he could. Now follow me here, Beef Imperial was $ 9.95, Seafood Volcano was $ 12.95. The guy gives me a total of $ 38!!! When I asked why it was that much, he said the Lo Mein was $ 3.50 per order. OK, so maybe including tax and a potential delivery, that made sense. When the order arrived, there was only one order of Lo Mein and they distinctly charged me for two. It was too late to call them as they closed soon after we had ordered. I could have probably called in and complained, but being as it was the next day, I was not feeling like arguing. The Seafood Volcano was very tasty, so was the Beef Imperial, but it was a little blander than I expected. Take note China Wok, do NOT overcharge or leave items out if you want people to come back. I am still on the fence as to whether I will use them again. Time will tell on this one.
