We dined at Amerisports on Wednesday evening. We both had the Bacon Cheeseburger and fries ($ 11). We have been there many times and this was probably one of the best experiences! The burgers have a nice variety of toppings to choose from for no extra. I got my burger with the basic lettuce, red onion, tomato and pickles plus grilled onions, sauteed mushrooms, jalapeño peppers and green chili pesto. It was messy and soooo delicious! Fries were good like usual. Had the Hardball beer and I think it is my favorite brew. Rich and flavorful with a nice aftertaste. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. Impressive huge tv, lots of other tv’s plus personal tv at the booths where you can change the channel/​volume (we watched Wheel of Fortune and the local news). The Chopped Salad is very good but I get it tossed w/​honey mustard. Just really miss the Heartland Chicken Salad with grilled flatbread they used to serve. Wish they still at least had the flatbread. It is a sportsbar, so sports everywhere:). Good food reasonably priced, not too loud, friendly staff.

Stopped in here last night for my birthday … We were hoping to eat at the steakhouse but it was closed so we figured why not give this place a try

Yes we were there on a Monday so it wasn’t really busy
Place was clean and our server was very helpful friendly and attentive
Food is very good
Hubby got the ribs and I the salmon
Appetizer was deep friend pickles (if you do a checkin with Unilocal you get them free)
Food arrived timely and was correct
I can’t say enough about our server …
My husband made the comment it is as my birthday and just as we were finishing our meal he come out with me a piece of cheesecake. How thoughtful

Went to the Casino for a concert on a Friday night
We decided to eat at the Amerisports before we went in.
We walked in at about 6:30 & the hostess said it would be about 20 minutes.
We waited for about 40 minutes before we spotted a couple places at the bar. Chose to jump on those.
After sitting down, we started noticing the dirty dishes & glasses pyling up on the bar,
They only had 1 bar tender tending bar & no bar back to help him…
I mean, This was a Friday night at dinner time right before a concert in their own building.
Really?
By the time we received our food, I had already had enough…
Besides…The meal I ordered was «Meh» for the price.

This place was under staffed & poorly managed

People are over reacting on what they write here.
First thing first; this is a sports bar! if you love sports like I do, this is a great place! They will have any game you want on their HD tv.
The food are huge portions! & the price is a bit pricey but hey it’s worth it.
They brew their own beer there! My favorite is the knock out blonde. Mmmm :)
The staff is friendly & are always happy to help.
They have changed management and the new managers are awesome!

My husband and I had a horrible experience. To start with it was seat yourself during the chiefs game so we sat at a table right in front of the TV where basically everyone else in the bar was seated (we were clearly visible to everyone!!!). After roughly 15 minutes of no restaurant staff approaching us, I went to the bar area where two waitresses were just standing waiting for… well I’m not really sure. I asked if they could please find out who our waitress was. They said sure, just have a seat and they will be right over. Well, ten minutes later a waitress who had clearly walked by us at least 10 times came and said she was our server and took our drink order. 10 more minutes later (don’t ask why we hadn’t gotten up and left already at this point!) she finally came back with our drinks and took our order. I told her I had a coupon on my phone for a free appetizer from checking in on Unilocal.She said she would have to ask her manager if that was a legit coupon. I’m sorry, what?!? This is a coupon created by your business. OK, whatever I thought. She comes back and says sure they will take it and then placed my order. I bet you can guess what happened next. Our food (which was only mozzarella sticks as our appetizer, a burger and wings for our meal) took at least 45 minutes and all came out pretty much at the same time, like a two minute gap between appetizer and meal. Then the icing on the cake. The manager came up to our table after I had already paid and said the waitress let me know your food took a long time and so we took care of your appetizer for you. I said, great, since I had a coupon for that to be free anyway. He looked puzzled and says, «ok, well I just wanted to let you know your appetizer is on us.» This was probably one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had.

Food was decent. I ordered the fried pickles and thought the slices were alittle too big. I think they would be better bite size because the breading comes off wit he every bite. I also ordered the hardball BBQ burger. The burger can be split to feed 2 people. The bun is deep fried in a beer batter too. I would have been here at for maybe half the burger but anymore made it a chore and it would be good if I was to take it home.

Supposed to be a sports bar, went in there all 30+/- tv’s all on ‘one’ game, asked if they would turn 1 TV to another game… Big ‘NO’
Service was not good had to flag down waiter to get drinks, had to flag waiter down to get menu, had to flag waiter down to order. Order came — not served by waiter but kitchen staff —
Food was good, but food alone will not bring us back

After hearing about the giant TV, my friend and I decided to check it out for a Royals game. The TV in the back was big, and the sound for the game was on, which was nice. And those are the only things going for the place. The layout was clunky and misconceived for a sports bar. Beer was below average. Food was terrible. We ordered the giant pretzel with beer cheese fondue. It was obviously frozen– tasted like cardboard. And the cheese tasted like it came out if the nacho cheese dispenser at QT. Not what we had hoped. We couldn’t leave soon enough.

Let’s see first up on arriving they werent very busy yet waited a few minutes to be seated. Ok we seated decided what we wanted and waited and waited and waited. finally Brandon came over to take a drink order and to say Our server would b over shortly now im confused your not our server. No Heather was to b but I watched her walk by as if we weren’t there so brandon went ahead and waited on us. Food was good and some of the staff is professional while others well I guess they will b tiped according to their service. not mad if dont make it back …

1 star for the TV’s– that’s it ! Food, service, accountability is not where it should be — I rather have good food and service than «cool, hip» bartenders with no experience in serving or interest in customer satisfaction. Food order wasn’t put in at all and after 45 minutes I was — «comped“due to bartender/​kitchen incompetence — food was borderline (chicken wings) — do yourself a favor and just have drinks !
I can’t recommend this place at all except for drinks ! But who goes to the casino sports bar for a quality meal ??

Horrible service and food. Just left from there and already in the bathroom! Stay away!

The food was mediocre and while the young waitress was friendly she was a poor server. Our food took forever and they said it was because they were backed up. I highly doubted the validity of that excuse seeing as the place was not quite half full. We should have known not to eat at a place half full when the other restaurants (even Burger King!) had lines and this one didn’t. Live and learn… hopefully. When our food did come we were lacking my sister’s order of loaded waffle fries. They had given her cheese covered fries by mistake that belonged to another table. She asked for mayo for her sandwich and the waitress didn’t bring it until it was cold, half eaten, and our drinks were empty. They drinks didn’t get refilled. Finally we got her attention again to refill our drinks and ask where the heck the loaded waffle fries were. My sister went to find someone else to help us, like ya know, a manager. They were sorry about the wait. As you know, saying sorry but not making amends always works. So we left happy. WRONG. My sister, a waitress off and on for many years, had had enough. We finally got the fries, but they still lacked the sour cream the menu said they came with. I asked for the check minus the fries and the waitress looked puzzled. I said, «Hon, I’m not paying for those.» Ugh! It was a terrible experience and I can’t imagine a circumstance where I’d ever go back.

POS bar, only caters to the locals. I sat myself to a table and waited 15 minutes with no service while everyone else was attended to. I walked out without any service. Place was DIRTY and floors were sticky so Im sure kitchen wasn’t sanitary if dining area is a reflection of this not so fine establishment!

In my lifetime, I’ve only had three occasions where I thought the service was so horrendous, the server did not deserve a tip. This is one of those establishments where it happened. While I will not talk about that incident because I’ve spent many days and nights at this place, I feel it’s beneficial to lump all these experiences into the positives and negatives. But it’s important to start out with the most negative, the service.
I’m not sure if management is to blame for the consistent confusion I’ve witnessed during my visits, but it seems like the wait staff is constantly divvying up tables amongst themselves or someone different appearing for every part of my service. The service itself has been hit or miss. While sometimes everything goes without a hitch, I’ve experienced the wrong order, cold food and even instance where my order was taken, but never made when I was with a group. When paying this much for alright bar food, I would expect some better service.
Some things on the menu are worth your hard earned bucks, like the pretzels, nachos or chicken fingers, but the price of a burger is a bit steep for something that’s not worthy of a grocery store butcher.
So why do I keep coming back to this place? That’s where the positives come in. It’s a great place to watch sports with touch screens and monitors covering nearly every angle of the establishment. It’s great to watch Chiefs games because when they start losing, you can always change the channel if you’re at a booth. While I’m not a craft beer expert by any means, I do appreciate that a casino bar takes the time to craft something out of the ordinary instead of stocking up on Budweiser products.
If you’re looking for a place to watch the game with friends over a 100 oz. beer tower, this is probably your place. Otherwise, there’s no reason to go out of your way and stop here.

My comp dollars were burning a hole in my pocket so I came in here to get something to eat. I approached a table to sit down, and saw it had not been cleared and was covered with dishes. I moved on to the next table, same thing. There were about 2 parties eating, and every other last table was dirty. There were literally about 20 dirty tables and not one clean to sit at. I have never seen anything like it and it disturbed me so much that I will never go back.

Our waitress, «tbrad» on the receipt, took our order. A guy brought the appetizers and, realizing that we had no utensils, brought that. The same guy brought our food. 20 minutes into the meal we still had not seen our waitress again. No check to see if everything was ok. When we were out of drinks, we had to flag her down. Then there was another 15 minutes and she showed up with the bill, not asking if we wanted dessert. She took off and it was another 10 minutes before she came to collect our payment. She was too busy doing her side work, resetting tables, etc. to bother with us. It was insulting and we were made to feel extremely unwelcome and unimportant. Avoid at all costs.

We have been coming here for years, we love the beer. They just can’t get the food right anymore. It’s either cold or not what you ordered. I think the biggest problem is lack of management and bad cooks, there are no chefs. I think most of the staff, except the cooks, are doing the best they can.

This is just based on the beer alone. After blowing some money on the casino floor I retired to the bar to wait for my wife who was still out there somewhere losing hard earned money. In any case being the craft beer fan that I am I wanted to at least try some of their stuff.
First off, this place does a decent job as a sports bar. Tons of TVs everywhere. On the walls, above the bar, in the booths. This place was made to watch sporting events. So on that front they do a great job.
The beer just leaves something to be desired. Here’s the thing. They have their core five beers, a light, a blonde, a pale, a red, and a dark. They are just «meh» at best. To me this is a place that wants to be a brewpub and brewing beers as their schtick but in the end all they care about is pumping out cheap beer. I had both the red and the pale and they just lacked qualities that would make them memorable. The sign of a good brewpub is variety in their beer and a brewer that is open to brew what they want. A place like this that just brews five base beers is more of just a gimmick. They would be better off to skip on the brewery portion and just stock their tap handles with craft beers from local/​regional brewers.

Stay away!!! We went there last night ⁶⁄₁₂ and had the worst service. Wait… we never got served. After 10 minutes a manager noticed us and took a drink order (that never came). After another 10 minutes. I went to the bar and asked for the manager. (Who the bartender never got) When I questioned a server, her response was «well there are only 3 of us, goodbye» in a smart assed tone. I find it hard to beleive that they were stretched thin, when all 4 of them had plenty of time to BS around the bar.

I end up here quite a bit due to a family member’s enjoyment of the penny slots, but I have to admit, I don’t argue too much. As with most brewpubs, I’m not a huge fan of their brewed beers, but people who know beer better than I claim it’s good enough.
I’ve eaten many things on the menu, and am a particular fan of the wings and nachos. The sandwiches I’ve had have always been consistently good, and the pizza is good as well.
In addition, this is a good place to watch a sporting event — if the one you want to watch isn’t on one of the many screens (doubtful), they also have personal screens in the booths.
Service is nothing special, but has never been bad.
If I was going somewhere to watch a game or eat bar food, I can think of five or six places I’d probably pick ahead of Amerisports. But, if you’re in the casino anyway, it’s a solid choice.

$ 4 for twenty three-​ounce craft beers. A good deal and the beer is pretty good! The saying «One man’s Pale Ale is another’s IPA» applies here as the Faceoff Pale Ale isn’t going to scare away hop-​weary beer fans. The Hard Ball Dark is my favorite of the lineup of four. I do wish the I.B.U. and A.B.V. were listed on their menu.
Amerisports Brew Pub is a great place to grab a beer and watch sports on one of fifty-​two televisions. The bartender was happy to switch one over to a St. Louis Blues game I wanted to see.
I’ve never tried the food here but have seen HUGE portions be delivered to other patrons.

I hate to disappoint you, but I didnt come here to drink, I came here to watch a chiefs game with a group of people, I had a good time, and the atmosphere is swell, they had drawings for free Chiefs gear… I didnt win anything hmph.
I did order beef nachos, and buffalo wings, ummm they were pretty much distasteful, and the nachos didnt even come with hot sauce, say what? I know! So I asked for some, and i dont even know what it was, other than tomato sauce with some chunks. The buffalo wings were tooo fatty and had to much bredding that sort of molded into the wing, I didnt even eat half of one. So hey! if your into sauceless nachos and fatty tasteless buffalo wings, then you will love it here!
