Fatboy’s Fairway Bistro

Food is good, our party had the lechon, pastrami sandwich, and garlic chicken. Service was slow (but friendly) and flies are a problem. The view of the golf course is nice. Fatboys is a chain and has standardized their menu, this restaurant gives you a chance to eat their fare in a nice setting as opposed to a take out /​fast food joint. Free WiFi is also offered, ask your server for the password.

They are not open until midnight. They close much earlier. Please change the metadata.

I’ve read some of the reviews which are mostly poor which is certainly my experience. I’ve only eaten breakfast here a few times but I think it’s the best deal in the area. I order the Loco Moco which is great and my friends enjoy the other selections. Our waiter was Justin who was friendly and efficient. They serve an Italian espresso coffee which is excellent. The setting overlooks the golf course with the ocean down the mountain in the background– great view. I know we will be regular patrons at the current prices which are very reasonable.

Fatboy’s at the Pali Golf Course is lunch with a view! People always greet you with a smile. The servers are on the quiet side, but I don’t mind. They did their jobs, and they did it well. This is a great place for friends and family. The place has great acoustics so it’s not too quiet but not really loud. Definitely family friendly. No real child menu that I saw, but the kids still like the food. There are booths or chairs available. A bar. 4 large screen TV ’ s currently programmed to Football. The bathroom is clean-​ish but they seem to be having plumbing problems so when the water is going down it seeps out the bottom which is kind of gross. Aside from that the restaurant gets 5 stars but minus a star for the bathroom since you can’t avoid it when nature calls. I got the Club sandwich which was filling but light feeling and I completely loved it. For desert I got the Kona Coffee with whip cream, topped with a cherry and it was FABBBULOUS :)

NEVER EVER EATING HERE AGAIN!
First of all called in a phone order wen I walked in lady was sittin down on one of the benchs havin lunch wit her bf in front of the customers cmon man be professional eat in the back of the house or sumthin and on top of that no uniform saying fatboys or anything so I didnt no if she was a customer or employee. UNREAL!!! wen I got my plates I didnt check it till I got home and the pictures will tell for themselves VERY VERY SKIMPY FML!!! I weighed one of the garlic chicken plates and the chicken was only 4oz WTF!!! I even found a chunck of grounded garlic in my sauteed veggie mix those cooks suck and the garlic chicken was overcooked and chewy wit alot of skin!!! All in all I payed $ 58.98 for this never again!!!
It deserves a 0 star rating !!!

Don’t eat the Chinese chicken salad, I had RAW pieces of chicken in it.: (Didn’t realize this until I thought the chicken was a bit chewy. I traded it in for saimin which I hoped cooked the pieces of raw meat in me, at least they did not charge me for the salad and I did not get sick.

Went to Fatboys –Pali Golf Course –last nite for a party. I kinda get why places such as this don’t do well business-​wise. The information page on Unilocal shows they close at Midnight– nope! 9pm. They proceeded to kick about 30 paying customers out around 9pm. But they were patient about it. The food was okay. There was a band early in the evening — not bad — but kinda loud. They ran out of Draft Heineken Light during the evening. What? no back up keg in the back? As a business owner I would have capitalized on the situation. Let me break it down. There were only 3 employees I saw working. The food was pre-​ordered for the party– so you can close the kitchen. The band ended at 8pm. So you just gotta serve drinks. Turn on the big screen TVs — re tap a new keg. Serve requests for ice water– it’s free, and rake in some easy profit. It looked like most of the workers didn’t want to stay. And I don’t blame them — not only do they have to close the restaurant — they gotta lock the gates to the parking lot. You know how that gets when you have a group of party people saying good nite 2 or 3 times each to everybody. Had so much extra cash on each table that ended up being taken with the patrons and probably spent else where. I am guessing when looking for place to go for drinks and fun on a Friday or Saturday nite around 7:30 — 8pm in Kaneohe this place is not even in the mix– cause last call is around 8:30pm.

Great food, location and service! Went to a HFD promotion party tonight and we had a fantastic time!

Service not very good, very slow for being at a golf course. I have eaten there several times before golf and have not been impressed. Ordered a loco moco and according to the menu, it is supposed to be good. It was terrible, had no taste and the gravy did not help. Have had many loco mocos so I know what it should taste like. They say they have gourmet plate lunches. .not.

Will not come here again. Wasn’t busy, no corned beef hash and no salmon for the japanese breakfast. My friends over hard eggs came out over easy and my scrambled eggs came out runny.
Service was good though.

The only good thing about this place was our waiter. The food quality was terrible and the portions were small. Will never go back again. We spent $ 100 for four people and were hungry when we left.

I had originally thought this would be a wonderful place to eat; beautiful views of the koolau and the fresh air. When my mother, aunties and uncles entered it looked clean with large televisions to watch. I felt relaxed, maybe a little too relaxed. This restaurant would be the first restaurant in my life to completely forget my order and have no remorse what — so — ever. I can not rate the food because the waitress came over personally to apologize and tell me «the cook forgot «and smiled. I left quiet with my tummy feeling left out. My mom could not handle that service, she went back to the manager of the golf course to complain. Looking back on it, I’m glad she did. Mother knows best :-p

Very friendly service, however the food is so-​so and they need to do something about the flies in the dining room.
We couldn’t tell if the place was open when we walked in at lunch time on a weekday, as the dining room was completely empty and no one greeted us when we walked in. We actually asked them «are you guys open», and we were not the only customers who asked that question upon entering the establishment.
I ordered the garlic chicken since that’s what I always order at Fat Boys’ other locations, and I was a bit disappointed. There wasn’t much taste and the «mini» plate was a bit pricey at $ 9.
Their saving grace is the really nice waitress who waited on us.
You’ll have a better experience driving the few extra miles to their original location in Kailua town.

Fatboy’s is located in the PALI Golf Course main buildings.
The Menu looks rather extensive and the kitchen preforms amazingly once you figure out what you want to eat.
Everything we’ve ordered so far has been better than expected.
Even if you aren’t a golfer it’s worth a visit.
Nice Service with a smile and small bar to make for a relaxing day.

Prices are reasonable and the waiter was humorous and friendly. The best dish was misoyaki butterfish and misoyaki salmon bento box. Wasn’t too impressed with other foods there.

Good food, clean and comfortable seating, great service, excellent view, and best of all; no waiting line. The best kept secret for breakfast in kaneohe.

Clean, new décor at this municipal golf course restaurant. Has the look and feel more of a restaurant than say, a diner.
Service here was great. Servers constantly checking on us, making sure we are OK.
Why two stars? The food… I ordered a combo plate with teri-​hamburger steak and pork chops. The hamburger steak was the worst I have ever had. This buggah was tough – hard as rock! Normally, I can break off a bite-​size piece with my fork, but I had to use a knife for this hamburger steak! Holy cow! Needing a knife?! Portions were small for the price I paid.
The mac salad was substandard. The mayo had a curdling texture, lacking the smooth consistency of good mayo. Also, just macaroni & mayo? Plain… add some vegetable shavings, pls!
This was my second visit here. My first visit I was not impressed with the food. I decided to try here again before writing my review. Hmmm, two visits and two below-​average experiences…
Of the munis that now have a restaurant, Ewa Villages Social Hour Inc has by far the best food. Ala Wai is a solid second while Pali’s Fatboy’s clearly rounds out the rear…

Nice to finally have a Fatboy’s in Kaneohe. Friendly staff, Ono food, quality and quantity of food is unreal. Fatboy’s Fairway Bistro is located in the Pali Golf Course across from the Golf shop. Lot of places to sit as well as nice and cool with Several big screen TVs and a bar. From my understanding, events at the Pali Golf course ballroom are catered by them. Drink specials as well as other food specials are available as well.
