The day before heading home, I decide to take the kids shopping. I know what you are thinking-why would I want to torture myself that way. Well, the night before we all ate dinner at Ruth’s Chris across the courtyard and a sign in a store window caught my kids’ eyes. It said, «Life is Good.» They wanted to go check out the«Life is Good» Store. Ok so we get there and there really is a store where everything in it says somewhere on it-Life is Good. What gives? The lady inside explains that these two business-minded massholes start this company selling imported clothes and other accessories with smiley faces on them and cute sayings like«Life is Good.» The stuff is all dyed interesting colors and is pre shrunk and comfortable casual. They have kids clothes, adult mens and women’s clothes, candles, wallets, dog bowls and leashes all made in the orient and imported. The quality appears decent and though not cheap, was considerably cheaper than any other place in that mall. The store in Kona is called The Grin-the employee said the franchise owners are all required to name their stores something that has to do with a smile, their copywrited symbol. See for the parent company.
